Jeff was wonderful! He was very confident with our young dogs, sent a midday update, and the pictures showed that our pups had a blast in his backyard. We are so grateful for his care and hospitality.

Tabatha took absolutely amazing care of our timid dog Beetle. It was Beetle’s first time coming for daycare and, though Beetle was nervous, Tabatha did a great job building a relationship at Beetle’s pace. She was patient and caring with Beetle and provided us lots of photos and updates detailing Beetle’s day and mood. Would 100% recommend!!

Rita was absolutely amazing with my dog, Natalie! Natalie can be reactive and typically needs time to adjust to new environments and people, but Rita went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable and supported. She took the time to really understand Natalie’s needs, triggers, and what makes her happy, which made such a difference. I really appreciated the regular photo updates and how communicative she was throughout—checking in, asking thoughtful questions, and keeping me reassured the entire time. It’s clear Rita genuinely cares and puts in the extra effort, and because of that, Natalie had a great experience. I’m so grateful and would absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Rita!

We have a passion for all furry pets and enjoy play sessions, long walks, pets & cuddles, and just talking to them. We believe pet care involves not just food and potty breaks, but also respecting what makes them happiest. Whether your pet likes a ton of attention or likes to be independent, we meet your pet where they are. We welcome meet & greets, video chats, and any other way you'd like to connect. We also love taking Instagram-worthy pics of all our pups and will keep you posted about your pet's stay at all times! We work from home and love taking breaks with our pup and any guests. We live close to several dog parks and walking trails and love going on adventures after work. We have a fenced yard and plenty of running room for the dogs. We are able to separate animals safely with baby gates fir feeding time or to give them rest time. We really look to cater to your animal’s needs. When your dog is comfortable with us, they are happy and we love hanging out with happy dogs!

About: I’ve loved dogs all my life and have always had one since the age of 4. I’ve had the chance to dogsit my families dogs with very different personalities and new fur babies around the city. I have a small dog and she’s sweet, friendly and calm, who’d be in the residence as well. I work from home so I’d be there 24/7 to care for your pet! Since I already care for my baby Dayton and day out, adding more fur babies to the routine is never an issue. You fur baby will be given all the love and attention it could ask for if you choose us. I will follow whatever feeding schedule or medicine schedule is given. Your dogs health and comfort is the utmost important. Dogs will be taken out like clock work as I have a small dog that doesn’t like to hold her bladder. Gated yard for free roaming! I love to give treats but if there is a certain kind you like or if you prefer me to not give them just let me know.

About: I have experience fostering a puppy and volunteering at dog shelters, where I regularly take dogs out for walks and give them loving attention. I grew up with a golden retriever named Max, which sparked my lifelong love for dogs. Caring for dogs is something I truly enjoy, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am available throughout the weekdays and select weekends. I kindly ask for advance notice when possible, as I am a college student balancing my schedule. I care for pets in a safe, calm home environment with plenty of space to play and relax. I live in a house with a large backyard. I am happy to crate your dog if needed, as long as you provide the crate.

About: Hi there! I'm a dog-mom of an energetic boxer, Gus. Gus is my first dog, but from a young age, I always walked dogs in the neighborhood. As an adult, I had over 4 years of experience with doggy roommates. I have experiences with many different personalities and sizes so I'm very comfortable with them. I am very active and love taking long walks or light jogs, just like your pup! Gus is also an excellent walking buddy who is good on the leash. I work from home Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00, so it's very easy for me to pop out before work, lunchtime, it after work to take a long walk. If it helps lighten the load when packing, I havethe following items already: Extra dog beds Dog bowls including a slow feeder Toys Feel free to pack these items if course if they will make your pup happier to have their own. I work from home Monday through Friday 9:00-5:00, so it's very easy for me to pop out before work, lunchtime, it after work to take a long walk. I will walk them in the neighborhood and will avoid busy streets. I also don't introduce them to other dogs while walking them to avoid any accidental negative greetings in my care.

About: Hello World! My name is Rouday and I have been taking care of dogs since I was 10 years old. In those 25 years I have had the privilege of raising three dogs, all different shapes and sizes. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, playing with them at dog parks, and loving up on my furry friends. I currently have an extremely flexible schedule as I work remotely and control my own workflow. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember and have had several pets of my own growing up, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve looked after dogs for friends, neighbors, and family, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I always treat every dog as if they were my own. I’m patient, dependable, and committed to making sure your pet feels loved, safe, and comfortable while you’re away. I recently graduated, so I have a very flexible schedule and can easily adjust to your pet’s routine. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, evening visits, or overnight stays, I’m happy to help. I know how important consistency is for pets, and I’ll do my best to make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible, for both you and your pet. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I’ll always follow your pet’s routine and any instructions you provide, from feeding schedules and medications to favorite toys and walking routes. I’ll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can feel confident they’re happy and doing well. I also treat every home with the utmost respect and will care for your pet as if they were part of my own family.

About: I’ve taken care of pets all my life! I helped raise and take care of a Golden Retriever for 14 years in my childhood home until she passed away. Right know I have 3 elderly dogs who are my BFF's. I can't imagine my life without a furry friend. Also I've helped watch family and friends dogs since a young age. I love dogs of any kind and will love yours like my own! I’m currently working close to home with very flexible hours. I can work with your schedule to find the right time to care for your pets! I will approach your pet in a calm and slow manner until they feel comfortable with me. I have a fenced yard. My neighborhood is great for walks. Also depending on your preference with dog park/ walks, I typically take dogs for a 30 min walk (of course each dog is different in taking their time I fully respect that). If your dog is comfortable at the dog park, I’d love to take them there as well! My dog park is 20 minutes away (walking).I can accomodate dogs in crates or dogs that sleep on dog beds. In case of an emergency, I will always contact you first and take your pet to your preferred vet. I have a jeep which your dog will feel really comfortable in, so I am able to get your pet to whichever vet quickly!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Riverdale Park

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Riverdale Park on Rover is $29.97 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 5,562 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Riverdale Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Riverdale Park commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 5,562 sitters in Riverdale Park, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
