About: What we offer is more of a pack activity group than typical dog sitting. We are very active and do as much as possible as a small group together including pack walks, runs, trips to the park, hiking in trails, hard earned naps, and group basic training and enrichment. We aim to strike the right balance of fun and rest to avoid over or under-stimulation. As a mental health therapist with an anxious dog of my own, I am particularly attentive to dog body language, signs of discomfort, and unique personality. I empathize that it truly sucks that you can’t just text your dog to ask how they’re doing when they’re in another person’s care. My aim is for the next time you arrive at my home, your pup’s booty will wiggle and communicate it all! In the meantime, I welcome your check ins and am happy to send you plenty of pictures and detailed updates. **Note: We are not the right fit for dogs who: are not regularly socialized with other dogs, need to be the only dog in the sitter’s home, are reactive towards or guard resources from other dogs, or just generally would not find our pack playing, walking, and basic training lifestyle very fun! My own dogs are central to our daily routine and get plenty of enrichment, runs/walks/hikes, play in the yard, basic training, and post-activity rest each day. We are very active and do as much as possible as a small group together. Pickup/Drop Off Schedule: We have implemented the following schedule for drop off and pick ups to help protect our pups routine and what remains of our lives outside of doggies 🙃 M-F before 6pm Sat/Sun before 9:30am E.g. if your trip ends at 7pm on Sunday we ask that you schedule your pick up for anytime Monday before 6pm. If we are able to accommodate, flexible drop off/pick up rate for outside of those windows is $30. Doggy Drop Off Room: If we are in meetings during your drop off/pick up times, or out with the other pups, we may arrange for you to use our doggy drop off room where your dog can rest until we are back (within 0-2 hrs). For all pick up/drop offs outside of M-F before 6pm we will arrange for you to use the doggy drop off room. We’ll provide instructions for access when you book. We do not do pick ups/drop offs after 8pm. I am happy to discuss and answer any questions you may have about your specific needs! We have a fenced yard, an indoor camera, gates and human grade rooms for doggy comfort, two crates, and more leashes and toys than one pack could ever need.
“Iris was excellent and took great care of Nugget, On short notice in a heat wave at that- grateful! Clear communication and great service. Would recommend and hope to work with again in the future.”

“Grace was great with our energetic puppy Darcy. He was anxious to meet someone new, but she calmed him down with treats and pets. She was very communicative and arrived right on time. Would definitely recommend her as a dog walker!”

“Gabrielle was very responsive and they were accommodating of my wanting an initial meet/greet introduction. They let me know when they arrived and again when wrapped up the walk; gGreat service. Thank you!”

“Kristina is such a lovely person. Delilah took to her immediately! We could tell that D had a great time with K, as she (D) lingered until K closed the door behind her. The walk tuckered D out! We definitely want K to continue walking D!”
“Meghan is always on time and polite! We are continuously training our rescue pitbull and she provides feedback on his progress and respects our training demands. Would recommend her!”

“Nicole is amazing! She treated Diesel like he was apart of her family. He went on atleast 30 minute walks which is needed for my dog. If you have dogs that are interested in other animals, Nicole knows how to regain attention from your dog and complete the walk. I will definitely be using Nicole again.”

About: I’ve always lived with pets in my home and love spending time with them. Previously, I’ve helped watch my sister-in-law’s senior cat and have lots of patience with all animals. I’m currently between jobs so I’m very available to spend as much time as needed with your pets! I also love going on walks frequently throughout the day. Currently, I only live with a cat and she is quite independent. I’ve watched a few of my friend’s dogs and am able to stick to a routine for food and walks. I’m naturally a very detail-oriented person.
“Alexandra has been a wonderful new buddy and walker for my dog. She is patient, communicative, consistent and caring. We’ll definitely be working with her more in the future!”

About: I’ve had two wonderful dogs since they were 10 weeks old. We’ve completed dog training classes together and I’ve learned all about pet care through them. Im currently working from home and never travel because I have a toddler son and 2 dogs, so im often available on weekends for pet care and during the week for walks I have two friendly dogs to keep your dog company and a large house for plenty of play space. I’m also experienced with picky eating dogs.
“Carla did a wonderful job walking our Shih Tzu, Paige while we were on vacation. Thank-you for taking care of her. Very reliable and communicated via the Rover app.”

About: I've been an animal lover my whole life, and for the past five years I've had the joy of raising my labradoodle Charlotte since she was born. Caring for her taught me how important patience, attention, and consistency are when it comes to keeping dogs happy and healthy. My passion for helping others with their pets started when I began walking my neighbor’s dog to help her out due to limited mobility. Seeing how much that support meant for both her and her dog made me realize how rewarding it is to help families make sure their pets still get the exercise, care, and attention they deserve. I treat every animal like they're my own — with plenty of love, playtime, and attention to their individual needs. Whether it's a relaxing walk, burning off some energy, or just making sure your pup (or kitty) feels safe while you're away, I'm here to help. I'm a fully remote worker, working 4 days a week meaning my weekends are completely free to help take care of your fur baby. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priorities are safety, consistency, and making sure your pet feels comfortable in their familiar environment. During walks, I make sure dogs are securely leashed, stay aware of our surroundings, and adjust the pace and route depending on the dog’s energy level and needs. For drop-in visits, I follow all care instructions closely — whether that’s feeding, refreshing water, playtime, or simply giving your pet attention and companionship while you’re away. I treat every home with respect and make sure everything is left exactly how I found it. I also provide photo and message updates so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Trinity has been an excellent daytime walker for my dog. She’s reliable and communicative, but most importantly she takes great care of my pup. I definitely would recommend her to anyone interested.”
About: I volunteered at the Milwaukee Humane Society doing dog walking for one year with dogs of all ages, backgrounds, and sizes! I also have taken care of 1 senior dog for a year, 2 pups for a couple weeks, and 3 dogs (two being seniors!) for 2 years. In addition to this, I have 8 years of equine experience (13 years of riding, 8 of chores, and 3 of farm staying), and I've also watched goats, ducks, and chickens on these beautiful farms! I'm confident with medications and different personalities because of these experiences. I'm a full-time student currently, so my weeks are pretty open! I am very flexible and will always be able to make time for your pet. Early mornings and evenings are my most available times! I am a very attentive caretaker who followers instructions precisely. Seriously, precisely - I will ask lots of questions if I'm confused! I love spending time with pets, whether playing or relaxing. I do have a cat in my home, so your pet must be okay with a cat!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Riverdale Park
Maria has been just exceptional! She’s been walking my boy regularly for the last few weeks and she really puts her heart into looking after him. It was too hot to take him out for a full 1/2 hour so she spent the remainder of the time playing with and petting him. She’s also been great at letting me know how he’s been during the day. I’d highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
