Information Tracey E. would like to know about your pet

Before a stay, I’d be happy to set up a meet and greet so I can get to know you a bit better. I like to learn if you dog is timid, destructive, or has separation anxiety. Learning their behavioral tendencies and medical issues is also important prior to a stay. A few other questions I ask revolve around how they interact with other animals and humans and their currently activity level. The more information you provide, the better!

A typical day

On a stay with me, your dog will be catered to based on their activity level, size, and personality! We’ll make sure to have long morning walks, nap time throughout the day, and lots of play time inside and outside. We can hit Sligo Creek Park and play in the fenced-in dog park (with your permission), or go on a walk around town. No matter what your pup needs, I’ll be happy to provide it!

Pet care experience

I’m Tracey and I love fur babies! They are the most loyal and sweet pals who truly care about everyone they interact with. I miss having my constant companion, Jasper, since he passed and I’m not currently able to adopt a pup. Providing loving care to the wonderful animals of my community is the perfect way to get my ‘dog fix’ in! What you will love about me is that I’ve been a lifelong pet parent and have been the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family members for years. I’m responsible and trustworthy, and aim to create a respectful and friendly relationship between you and your family! I treat others’ fur babies as if they were my own because I know how important they are to their families. Being communicative is also important when watching pups, so I keep you updated with photos and texts so you know what we’re up to while you’re away. I have cared for dogs of every size, breed, and personality and have specific experience with Miniature Schnauzers, as I owned one for over 12 years. I was also a foster mom with Schnauzer Rescue League of the Mid Atlantic. I would be happy to care for any pooch on Rover! I live Hyattsville in a beautiful and spacious home that is completely pet-friendly. All animal visitors are allowed on the furniture with your permission, and can enjoy cuddle sessions on the couch each night. We have a fenced-in backyard where your dog can enjoy safe potty breaks and play time or even sunbathing and nap time! My neighborhood is perfect for pups, too! It’s a mix of townhomes and family homes with lots of children. It’s a very walkable area close to shops and restaurants and a doggie park. I live with my 21 year old son, Timothy, who is a former Rover sitter and would be happy to dole out extra cuddles to your pal. When I'm not pet sitting, I'm tweaking areas around my house, working in my garden, exercising, or volunteering at Meals on Wheels. I love being a stress free as possible and having doggie visitors helps me stay happy and healthy! I can’t wait to meet you.

Mrs. Tracey is so amazing with my Opal. She takes care of him like he’s her own doggie 🥰 she even washed his bedding and his blanket. This is the second time she sits him and it’s been so great. Always updating me with pictures and videos. I can always be at peace when she’s taking care of him!

Tracey has been amazing so far with my dog, Jace! From the start, she’s been super communicative, kind, and reassuring, which made me feel really comfortable leaving him in her care. Jace is pretty high-energy and loves attention, and Tracey has been very patient and attentive with him. She’s been keeping me updated with messages and photos, which I really appreciate—it definitely gives me peace of mind while I’m away. Everything has been going great, and I can tell Jace is in good hands. I’m really happy with the experience and would absolutely recommend Tracey to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!

Leaving my dog Mona with Tracey this last week was a blessing. She actually had a health issue come up during her stay and had to go to the vet, and Tracey took her and gave her the appropriate meds and made sure she was as comfortable as she could be. I genuinely felt like Tracey cared about my Mona which gave me a lot more peace of mind when my baby wasn't doing great. I couldn't thank her enough!
