It was a 10 day stay which is the longest we've ever left Oso with a Rover, and felt very secure with Amani the entire time. She was very communicative from the get-go, scheduling a meet beforehand to make sure Oso was comfortable at their home and with their other dog. They have a great fully fenced in yard for the dogs to play, and I know from Oso's GPS collar that he went on several walks and a dog park trip. Amani provided updates and photos every day which was great. And lastly, she was willing to give him his ear drop medication every day while he was there, which made us very relieved. Would definitely book with Amani again!”

About: I'm going to be totally honest. I'm allergic to cats but having been around dogs a lot, I've inadvertently cared for a few cats in my day. I understand how cats can act vs dogs, I know how to keep them alive and entertain them for the few drop ins that they need. I can't totally smush my face into their bodies if they prefer lots of human contact, but I can guarantee they'll be so excited you're back since I have to operate at arm's length with them! I'm mainly setting this experience information up in case someone has a dog and a cat at home so please no judgement :)

About: I’ve taken care of pets all my life! I helped raise and take care of a Golden Retriever for 14 years in my childhood home until she passed away. Right know I have 3 elderly dogs who are my BFF's. I can't imagine my life without a furry friend. Also I've helped watch family and friends dogs since a young age. I love dogs of any kind and will love yours like my own! I’m currently working close to home with very flexible hours. I can work with your schedule to find the right time to care for your pets! I will approach your pet in a calm and slow manner until they feel comfortable with me. I have a fenced yard. My neighborhood is great for walks. Also depending on your preference with dog park/ walks, I typically take dogs for a 30 min walk (of course each dog is different in taking their time I fully respect that). If your dog is comfortable at the dog park, I’d love to take them there as well! My dog park is 20 minutes away (walking).I can accomodate dogs in crates or dogs that sleep on dog beds. In case of an emergency, I will always contact you first and take your pet to your preferred vet. I have a jeep which your dog will feel really comfortable in, so I am able to get your pet to whichever vet quickly!

I will walk them in the neighborhood and will avoid busy streets. I also don't introduce them to other dogs while walking them to avoid any accidental negative greetings in my care.

About: I grew up with a high-energy Siberian husky and a large mutt (~80 lbs) who were both dog reactive. I learned how to handle them from as soon as I was strong enough to not get pulled into the street! I loved taking them on runs, hikes, long walks, and pretty much anything outdoors. I currently have a two-year-old golden retriever mix at home who loves people, playing, dog parks, hikes, loafing on the couch, and lots of attention (all of which I am more than happy to provide for her). I was recently laid off and am returning to school to get EMT certified soon, so I have a lot of free time to care for your dog! I have housesat for friends with smaller dogs in the past as well and would welcome the opportunity to housesit any size dog :) I am located near town center market in Riverdale Park and have a car. I'm currently in evening classes so other than that I have most weekdays free for walks at whatever time is most convenient for you. For housesitting, I would need time to attend those classes and walk my own dog but would be able to not leave your dog unattended for more than 2 hours at a time. I will be very respectful of your home and would happily attend to any plants you have as well (I enjoy gardening quite a bit). I want you and your pet to feel comfortable with me in your house. About: I have just relocated to the DMV area and am excited to finally meet all of my neighborhood pups in 2026. :) I have had my own dog, a small yorkie, since I was 16 and have always loved dogs. I have also fostered a pittie for about a year in 2025 and he was the sweetest. He was reactive to particular dogs so I have experience with reactivity if distance or certain avoidance (including time, certain people, dogs, etc) is needed for peaceful walks. This also includes training techniques for reactivity. I have experience dog sitting and walking for all sizes - extra small to extra large, and ages - puppies to senior care. I have provided day visits and overnights stays within care periods. My senior dog care is always handled with love and care as I have experience putting diapers on if needed and aiding in movement, potty breaks, and clean-ups. I have dog walked and provided drop-in visits, for families, neighbors, and friends regularly throughout my life. I am a regular with Brandywine’s ASPCA “Dog’s Day Out” to help shelter dogs decompress from their cages. I also volunteer with Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and P3 Rescue regularly. Additionally, I work with DC Dog Hikes, taking small packs on morning hikes to get their exercise in. My own dogs, my yorkie and pittie, I trained with my own expertise. My yorkie I had since he was 8 weeks old and my pittie at the ripe teenage years of 1. As a reactive pittie, we worked through a lot of behavior and obedience and I set him up for success with his forever family! Obedience and patience training should always be an enjoyable experience for dogs. I am currently aiding my neighbors in training their two young pups, cane corso annd German shepherd mix, out of littermate syndrome. If you need reinforcements of training you are working on, or overall tips and tricks, I am your girl! As I am currently an empty nester with no pups at this time, I am open to all ages, sizes, breeds, and energies. I love canine’s and plan to give your pet the best care possible and make sure they’re having just as much fun as I will. :) I have a fully remote job. I will have meetings daily but create my own schedule. That allows me more flexibility with all puppers in my care. In my clients home I can easily play with your dog(s) and care for them as needed (i.e. - walk them, take them out to play, train them, play inside, crate them if needed/desired by client’s request, follow training instructions if needed, etc). My top priorities are giving the best care your pupper needs, following and meeting the desires of my clients, and providing a fun and loving experience for your pet.

I am an energetic college student who has time to devote to caring for your pet, and will do so with an open mind and heart. “Amani and her family did a great job with Oso over the long holiday break. It was a 10 day stay which is the longest we've ever left Oso with a Rover, and felt very secure with Amani the entire time. She was very communicative from the get-go, scheduling a meet beforehand to make sure Oso was comfortable at their home and with their other dog. They have a great fully fenced in yard for the dogs to play, and I know from Oso's GPS collar that he went on several walks and a dog park trip. Amani provided updates and photos every day which was great. And lastly, she was willing to give him his ear drop medication every day while he was there, which made us very relieved. Would definitely book with Amani again!”
“Our very social and attention-craving lab mix loved his stay with Natalia and Edward. We were out of town for seven days and received adorable pictures of him playing with their dog, lounging in the living room, or romping with the family. About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend.
