“Beth was very responsive and attentive to our dog Captain’s needs. She sent daily updates and photos which was reassuring and he seemed to have a great time. She was also flexible when our flight was delayed and we had a late pickup. Would definitely recommend Beth for dog boarding!”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
“Bettina took great care of my Samson over the holiday weekend! Her pup got along great with him and they were taken on nice long walks together. I will be leaving Samson with her and her family in the future without doubt!”

“Amazing. Accommodating, kind, I can’t speak highly enough of Christin and James. Multitasking travel and being the mother of an active fur baby takes trust, scheduling, great communication and good care. Christin and James has it all. Sevyn comes home so worn out from her play time with them.”

“Shaela took incredible care of my dog Harvey while I was out of the country! She was extremely attentive and responsive, sending me pictures and keeping me updated. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Debbie had so much fun at Haydenn’s! He sent videos and pictures of her having a blast playing with his dog and other new friends. When we picked her up, Debbie seemed sad to leave Haydenn.”

“Whitney was so kind and wonderful to my little Cali. My dog seemed so happy and well taken care of. Certainly will leverage Whitney again for future needs. Thank you again for taking such good care of my fur baby.”

“Jenna did an absolutely amazing job dog sitting my dog, Soka! She was attentive, caring, and went above and beyond to make sure Soka was happy and comfortable the entire time. I could tell right away that Jenna truly loves animals and treats them like her own. I had total peace of mind knowing Soka was in such great hands. I highly recommend Jenna to anyone looking for a responsible and loving pet sitter — she’s the best!”

“Crystal is so knowledgeable about Dogs! She is an amazing rockstar!! She sent pictures and videos and gave me and my daughter a full itinerary! My dog stay three days and came back happy 😊 anytime we mentioned Crystals name Reggie got excited!!! She cares for dogs with the upmost care and is absolutely fabulous!!! Thank you again Crystal!!”

“June was wonderful! It was our first time leaving our pup with a stranger and away from our home. We were extremely nervous, but June’s funny photos and videos of our dog reassured us that he was in wonderful hands. We will definitely reach out to June when our in-home sitter can’t help us out.”

“Luisa was incredible with our pup who was staying with her for the very first time. From the consistent updates (photo AND video) to the text updates of how he was managing, she let us have a full trip with a peace of mind! Could not recommend enough!”

“Kamille was great watching my two dogs. She provided me with plenty of updates and videos which I really appreciated. I will definitely use her services again.”
“Charnetta was absolutely great. She was always responsive and provided consistent updates that included lots of pictures and videos. She took into consideration Whitesocks' shy personality, special diet needs, and was understanding if he preferred some time alone. From drop off to pick up Charnetta was flexible with timing and coordination. She also took note of my busy schedule and was not put off if I could not respond right away. Even with Whitesocks being boarded for over 2 months, there were no issues. Charnetta took care of him as if he were one of her own; I was never worried or concerned. I will definitely rebook again in the future :)”

“Rita was great with my very nervous Mini Schnauzer. The communication from the meet & greet through final pick up was great. She sent a daily update and at least one picture every day. I will definitely have Rita take care of my dog again in the future.”

“With a senior dog, we do get nervous about leaving mango new places. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. They asked all the right questions and during our stay sent regular updates to make sure we knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

“We’ve been using Nadia’s dog sitting services repeatedly and couldn’t be happier. Our dog is always well cared for, and Nadia goes above and beyond when it comes to communication and accommodating our needs. We’ll continue booking with her and recommend her without hesitation.”

“Angela and her family took amazing care of my dog while I was out of state. She is really kind, friendly and thoughtful and sent lots of pictures and updates daily. My dog is usually indifferent to new people but was immediately excited to meet Angela. I could tell that my dog was relaxed and comfortable in her care. 10/10 Will definitely be booking again!”

“Chad and his wife went above and beyond to care for my senior dog who had significant health issues arise while I was away. They were very caring, professional, and communicative through it all. I felt so fortunate that she was in their care. I could not have asked for better care! They are truly amazing!”
About: I love animals and I have always had a variety of pets (both typical and unique) as beloved members of my family or cherished beings I’ve gotten the opportunity to spend time with. Some of the animals I’ve lived with or cared for include: dogs, cats, fish (salt and fresh), birds, hedgehogs, hamsters, reptiles, rabbits, pigs, and many more! I currently live in Hyattsville with my partner and our 4 beautiful rescue dogs (Havanese-6 y/o, Pomeranian-17 y/o, Husky-12 y/o, and Pittie-8 y/o). Over the years, my diverse and pawfict pack has taught me more and more about pet care. Especially my senior Pomeranian–whom I’ve had the privilege to love since he was a rambunctious puppy–now into his baby grandpa-hood, and hopefully into his twilight years. I look forward to walking dogs and meeting/sitting various pets in our neighborhood. Thank you for considering me to care for your special family member! My schedule can be somewhat flexible - if I know in advance I can change the days/hours I work. I currently work as a substitute teacher and part-time for parks and rec. When I’m working, my partner is usually home. On my off from work days, I’m available to sit and/or drop-in on your pet. On weekends my availability is variable, but I try my best to keep my Rover calendar up to date. My partner and I live in Hyattsville with our 4 dogs (Havanese-Maltese, Pomeranian, Husky mix, and Terrier mix). We have a fully fenced-in backyard and 2 separate living spaces in our home, giving us room for extra pups. Our home has one-step entry in the back, making it great for elderly dogs or dogs with joint problems.
The median cost per night for pet boarding in Brentwood is $50

This is our second time with Rita and nothing but GREAT things to say. Not only does she prioritize my baby’s needs but also making us parents feel comfortable throughout the stay. My baby was sick a few days prior to his stay and she made sure to accommodate so he could get back healthy. The communication is always on point. We will continue to book with Rita!

Marcella takes such good care of Matilda! She sends lots of pictures so that I can see that my dog is happy and healthy with her. My separation anxiety is probably almost as bad as my dog’s, but I feel good leaving Matilda with her because I know she’ll have her own fun vacation :)

We booked with Pamela while we were in town visiting for America 250. She took great care of Riley and it was comforting to know he would be safe and well taken care of during all the fireworks. He did well and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pamela for anyone who needs a sitter in the DC area.

Jasmine and her husband was absolutely welcoming and wonderful with taking care Ziggy and Freddie. They both were aware that I was nervous, but immediately Jasmine began reassuring me that she would care for them as if they were her own. I will be calling on their services very soon! Keep up the awesome work!

Emma is a great dog sitter. She took care of my dogs carefully and sincerely. I asked her services for my vacation and my whole trip schedule was constantly changed because of the weather in the destination. Emma was always responded timely and flexible. She send me pictures everyday and that made me relieved while I was away from my dogs. Thank you Emma!

Rashad took incredible care of my dog, Kobe, and made the entire experience completely stress-free. From the moment I dropped him off, I knew he was in great hands. He kept me updated, made sure Kobe got plenty of attention, exercise, and love, and treated him like he was part of their own family. When I picked him up, Kobe was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. As a dog owner, there's nothing more reassuring than knowing your pup is safe and genuinely cared for while you're away. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, reliable, and who truly loves dogs, I would absolutely recommend Rashad. I'll definitely be booking with them again. Thank you for taking such amazing care of Kobe!

Terrance was such a delight. He took care of Zula for a whole week and everything went so smoothly. Great communication. From the booking, to dropping off, and having communication throughout the stay, all the way to the end for pickup. He is definitely a 10/10!

There aren't enough stars in the sky to rate Angela 💫✨🌟 I'm almost reluctant to leave the glowing review she deserves, because she'll never be available to keep Skippy 😭 but that would not be fair. Angela is so good that my dog presses her talking button "Angela" more often than she presses "Mommy" 🤭

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
