About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
“Cori took great care of my energetic young dog while I was gone for a few days, and he absolutely loved making friends with her dogs, playing in the yard, and snuggling. She sent tons of updates so I always knew what he was up to and how things were going.”

“Would 100% recommend Christina she made my baby boy feel comfortable and safe. He had such a great time I could tell from all the pictures and especially when I picked him up. He’s only 7 months old, still potty training, a picky eater and this was my first time leaving him with anyone else so I was EXTREMELY worried but Christina took such great care of him, ensured he was comfy at night time and could sleep well and he didn’t miss a meal which is amazing as sometimes he refuses to eat. Thank you so much Christina!”

“Chloe and her husband were really great sitters..Bella had a wonderful time with them and we got pics and updates of Bella regularly. We are so thankful that Bella got to have fun while we were away.”

“Paula was an amazing sitter. From comforting me when my pup was acting out of character, to providing excellent care and attention to my pup during his stay. She provided detailed updates complete with pictures and videos. Definitely stumbled on a gem of a sitter with Paula.”

“Our dog had a great stay. He was well cared for and had ample play time with other dogs and walks to the park. Videos throughout the day were provided to let us know he was doing great. He also was on special diet and takes medication, both were not a problem and able to continue during his stay.”

“Mo had so much fun staying with Malvi, Andrej, and Max for a week! Mo is a high energy dog, and they always make sure he gets enough attention and playtime in the backyard. They are very communicative and sent so many great pictures throughout his stay - we’ll continue booking Mo’s boarding here whenever they’re available!”

“Kristy has watched our pup three times now, and every single time she has gone above and beyond. She is genuinely one of the most thoughtful, caring, honest and trustworthy people I’ve ever met. It is so clear that she truly loves dogs and treats them like her own family. Her communication is incredible. We always received prompt updates, photos, and thoughtful check ins that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She pays attention not just to the pets, but also to the people behind them, and that level of care is rare. Taking care of puppies is not easy at all, especially with routines, picky eating, accidents, energy levels, and anxiety, but Kristy handles everything with so much patience, kindness, and professionalism. She makes sure pets feel safe, comfortable, loved, and happy. Honestly, she is the best sitter we could have asked for, and I cannot recommend her enough. We trust her completely with our pup, and that says everything.”

About: I’ve had 7 dogs over the last 24 years, two lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I was known for many years as the Brookland Dog Lady. This is the only time in my adult life that I have only one dog. I currently have one 2-year-old Cockapoo named Peaches. Peaches loves most dogs and people and is generally confident and submissive. She’s very good with large, young, and old dogs alike. My house is fairly quiet. Over my 24 years of experience with my own dogs and watching friends dogs, I have dealt with just about every health problem and ailment. I am experienced with puppies, seniors, providing insulin, doggie diapers, prescriptions and just about anything else you can think of. I love walking dogs through my neighborhood. I have a fully fenced backyard as well. I work primarily from home so I can provide a lot of attention and supervision. They are like children to me. I work from home so I’m never gone for more than a few hours. My daily schedule starts with breakfast for me and my dog, Peaches. I then take her out immediately to the backyard for a potty break. I then get ready for my day and work from home. I walk my dog in the afternoon every day with additional yard breaks throughout the day. We often stop to play with other dog friends along the way. I can do a second walk each day if needed. I feed her again around 6pm. I let her out again in the yard before bed. They would sleep in my bedroom at night - either on the floor in a dog bed or in bed with Peaches and me. I do have a doggy door that she can use as needed, but I do go out with her whenever she goes outside. I have a 7 ft wooden fence around my yard. I also have a gate across my front porch so that if any dog were to get out of the front door, they would not be able to get off the porch. Dogs are always leashed when outside of my yard. I have watched and cared for many dogs for my friends, family and neighbors over the years. I have also been "dogmother" (designated in the will to care for a dog if anything had happened to their human) by several friends and family.
“We’ve been using Nadia’s dog sitting services repeatedly and couldn’t be happier. Our dog is always well cared for, and Nadia goes above and beyond when it comes to communication and accommodating our needs. We’ll continue booking with her and recommend her without hesitation.”

“Austin & Majid were great Rovers for Hercules. They were very communicative and ensured Hercules was well looked after. We would definitely book with them again!”

“Please use this review as your sign to book with Yosef! Yosef was gracious with scheduling, awesome with communication, made sure all dogs in his care were comfortable and cared for. I wish I could drop a picture or video of how happy my bully was to see him and how mad he was to leave. With such a friendly dog, the latter is a key indicator of how his time was. 10/5 stars and a big thank you!”

“With a senior dog, we do get nervous about leaving mango new places. I would say within five minutes of the meet and greet it was clear that Shanilka and her husband would be taking great care of him. They asked all the right questions and during our stay sent regular updates to make sure we knew he was in good hands. Would definitely use again!”

“Snickers loves hanging out with Chris and his dog Chester! Chris is very attentive and very accommodating and has a very palpable love for dogs 🐶 He has my highest recommendation.”

“I left Sophie with Michelle and Stacy again for 8 days in September, and I'm confident she was well-cared for. I think she loves playing with their dog Stella. Thanks Michelle and Stacy!”

“My first time using this app and I lucked out. Excellent fur baby sitter, felt comfortable leaving my dog there. She was able to accomodate super last minute and for an entire week. Very friendly, great communication with updates and pictures.”

“Rodrigo was a lifesaver on multiple occasions in just a few short days - accepting a frantic last minute booking I had when some plans fell through and being very patient and helpful dealing with unexpected travel delays on my return. Plus I could tell Watson had a great time and got along super well with the lovely Luna. I have actually already booked again as I knew Watson is in good hands. Thanks Rodrigo!!”

Fany was an amazing sitter! She sent picture updates and was patient and understanding to their anxiety when I had to leave them. She also left a cute gift of treats for the boys! Her attention to detail and love of dogs was felt and surely any puppy will feel right at home!

Thank you both so much for taking such wonderful care of Simba while I was away! I truly appreciate the care and attention you gave him. From all the pictures you sent, I could tell that Simba was very comfortable, relaxed, and happy with you. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in a safe and caring environment and enjoying himself while I was away. Thank you again for making Simba feel so welcome and well cared for. I would definitely use you again and would happily recommend you to others looking for someone they can trust with their dog. Thanks again for taking such great care of my Simba! 🐾❤️ Karla

It was a long 35 days without our dogs, but they were in good hands with Olivia and her family. My dogs gave Olivia some challenges along the way with eloping, etc. —- probably because they are not used to us being away from them for so long. Olivia handled the headaches our dogs gave her with grace. She was very transparent with things, which we truly appreciate. Thank you!

Mike was great! He was very responsive, sent regular updates, and was super accommodating when I had some last-minute schedule changes. Most importantly, he made my dog feel comfortable and right at home, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I really appreciated how easy and stress-free he made the whole experience. I also loved that he boarded my dog by himself which can be hard to find sometimes. I’ll definitely be booking with Mike again!

Absolute lifesaver! Aniya saved the day by stepping in for a last-minute request and took absolute best care of Bruno. Very responsive, attentive and clearly loves animals. Came home to a happy dog. Couldn't ask for a better sitter—10/10 recommendation! Thank you!!!

We used Jeramy as a last minute sitter when our original plans fell through, and we were so happy with the experience! Our dog can be a nervous with new people, but she loved Jeramy and had a great time during her stay. She also sent lots of pictures and videos to keep us in the loop. We will definitely be using her again :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
