We are a family of animal lovers and we all contribute to the care of visitors in our home. Mom does all of the dog walking. The rest of us make sure they get fed, get plenty of lovin', attention, more lovin' and play. We love spending time outside and like to include the dogs when we do. Our house is close to a trails, several parks including a dog park and the streets in our neighborhood have sidewalks. You tell me what your dog prefers. *Don't be scared off by my rate being on the low side - I think dog care should be affordable and we love meeting new dogs. I've been loving, nurturing and keeping things alive for as long as I can remember. I can't rest until all the pets and people in the house are well taken care of……most mornings when I wake up I make the rounds of greeting/cuddling pets and getting them outside....then I have my coffee. Why I love dog sitting As long as I can remember, I've been a dog lover….it all started with Sandy, a big over protective German Shepherd that my family had when I was 6…then Come Here, Mandy, Patches, Bandit, Camille, Toto and most recently, Snots. Every single one of them was the best dog ever. We'd love to have a second dog, but that's not in the cards right now so we dog sit. Snots is an especially (dog) social guy so when we have another dog in the house he's very happy. So we partially do it for him. Meet my pet We currently have one sweet, playful, rambunctious dog, Snots, who gets along with everyone and loves nothing more than playing tug-of-war. Our home is older with hardwood floors covered with rugs. It's a 3-story home with most of the living on the first floor. Our house is very comfortable, but there's nothing dogs can hurt. Easy to clean rugs and floors for those occasional accidents. About my yard Yes, we have a backyard that is fenced on 1 side so not fenced. There's open space with grass and shrubbery. We'll play with the pups in the front yard where the dogs are always on a leash or take them to the dog park. My experience administering medication Yes if it's oral or topical. I am not comfortable giving shots. Your pup fits right into my daily schedule - we'll usually go on three walks a day, play and cuddle in the evenings. My son loves playing with the dogs so he helps get them some exercise. We pay a lot of attention to our visiting dogs. If anything doesn't look right, we contact their owner. If they are scared of the weather or anything else we stick close by and offer comfort. When we leave the dogs at home without us, if the visiting dog doesn't get crated, we put our dog on the first floor and the visiting dog on the second floor and have 2 baby gates set up between them. When we feed we put the dogs in different rooms with a barrier between them. Sometimes visiting dogs don't eat much so we give them several opportunities a day to eat. Clean, fresh water one or more times a day.
