Crystal was fantastic! We left our small toy poodle Boba with Crystal for the holiday, and it was as if Boba had the time of her life in a puppy holiday summer camp, with so many nature walks and friends to play with. We are so lucky to have found such a beautiful home for Boba when we travel out of town, thank you!!!

Tasha was wonderful with Coconut and as a veterinary technician is very knowledgeable. She took really good care of Coconut and got her out on walks before I picked up which was greatly appreciated.

We could not have asked for a better family to take care of Camden! They were so communicative and sent photos and videos multiple times a day. Camden got a ton of outside time and loved being with their dogs. Highly recommend and definitely will use again!

We can't rate Geneen highly enough! We boarded our dog Juniper with her twice this summer (for a weekend and for a week). She kept in regular communication and provided many photo updates. Our dog is a little quirky (a lovable weirdo) and Geneen and her husband took her quirks in stride. It was easy to see that the dogs in their care were given plenty of love and activity, and were well supervised. We wouldn't hesitate to board Juniper with Geneen again.

Always a good time for Tucker in Amani’s care. It is great to see Tucker surrounded by dogs in his size range and whose temperaments seem to match. Tucker was immediately at ease when he realized where he was being dropped off. Peace of mind is always at the top of the list. Amani has always been receptive to our requests and consistent in her communication. If she is available… we know where our dog will be! 💜

This was my second time leaving my rescue dog, Tao, with Rouday, and both experiences have been great. He was understanding of Tao's occasional timidity after being bounced between multiple shelters as a puppy. I also appreciate that he makes dog sitting a family affair, which has been great for Tao's socialization. I'd definitely recommend Rouday to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter!

Lia’s communication is always on point! Charlie and I recently moved to DC and looking for a new sitter. Lia was honestly the best sitter for Charlie! She went above and beyond for Charlie even accommodated to his spoiled picky eating behavior 😂. Honestly I want to gate keep Lia but I think everyone deserves to have a sitter like her.

About: I’ve had 7 dogs over the last 24 years, two lived to be 18 and 19 yrs old. I was known for many years as the Brookland Dog Lady. This is the only time in my adult life that I have only one dog. I currently have one 2-year-old Cockapoo named Peaches. Peaches loves most dogs and people and is generally confident and submissive. She’s very good with large, young, and old dogs alike. My house is fairly quiet. Over my 24 years of experience with my own dogs and watching friends dogs, I have dealt with just about every health problem and ailment. I am experienced with puppies, seniors, providing insulin, doggie diapers, prescriptions and just about anything else you can think of. I love walking dogs through my neighborhood. I have a fully fenced backyard as well. I work primarily from home so I can provide a lot of attention and supervision. They are like children to me. I work from home so I’m never gone for more than a few hours. My daily schedule starts with breakfast for me and my dog, Peaches. I then take her out immediately to the backyard for a potty break. I then get ready for my day and work from home. I walk my dog in the afternoon every day with additional yard breaks throughout the day. We often stop to play with other dog friends along the way. I can do a second walk each day if needed. I feed her again around 6pm. I let her out again in the yard before bed. They would sleep in my bedroom at night - either on the floor in a dog bed or in bed with Peaches and me. I do have a doggy door that she can use as needed, but I do go out with her whenever she goes outside. I have a 7 ft wooden fence around my yard. I also have a gate across my front porch so that if any dog were to get out of the front door, they would not be able to get off the porch. Dogs are always leashed when outside of my yard. I have watched and cared for many dogs for my friends, family and neighbors over the years. I have also been "dogmother" (designated in the will to care for a dog if anything had happened to their human) by several friends and family.

It was a long 35 days without our dogs, but they were in good hands with Olivia and her family. My dogs gave Olivia some challenges along the way with eloping, etc. —- probably because they are not used to us being away from them for so long. Olivia handled the headaches our dogs gave her with grace. She was very transparent with things, which we truly appreciate. Thank you!

Most importantly, he made my dog feel comfortable and right at home, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I really appreciated how easy and stress-free he made the whole experience. I also loved that he boarded my dog by himself which can be hard to find sometimes. I’ll definitely be booking with Mike again!

Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

94% of College Park sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which College Park landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their College Park home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your College Park.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
