HAPPY PUPS / HAPPY PUPPY PARENTS
I spent many years fostering dogs of all breeds, sizes and demeanor. Every one of them had a distinct personality, the joy I found was discovering it. Often with my fosters it took about three days to actually show up, then all bets were off!! You got the shy ones the crazy ones and everything in between. It was always magical. Dogs on the whole are wonderfully intuitive. They are forgiving. They take every day as a new adventure and carry no grudges. To be around them and learn life lessons from them is a gift. I currently volunteer with a group that breeds dogs as support companions for veterans. It's a wonderful experience seeing all these little pups enter into the world knowing they will grow up to be amazing service dogs.

We booked with Pamela while we were in town visiting for America 250. She took great care of Riley and it was comforting to know he would be safe and well taken care of during all the fireworks. He did well and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pamela for anyone who needs a sitter in the DC area.
Shipley loved staying at Pamela’s and I loved having him there will I was out of town. She truly cares about each and every dog she watches over. He can’t wait to return!
Pamela a delightful sitter! Took great care of my dog Nyobi who is high maintenance scaredy cat 🙀 but Nyobi quickly adjusted which shocked me after 5 years with other boarders! Such a fun and lovely time hanging out with Pam at drop off and pick up was great experience for me too! I will definitely use Pamela as often as I can for both doggie day care and boarding!
Right from the Meet&Greet, our Jakey was immediately comfortable with Ms. Pam. We fully enjoyed our vacation knowing that our Jakey is well cared for.
Pamela is an amazing sitter and an even more amazing person. She is very knowledgeable about dogs. She took excellent care of my dog in her lovely home. She was incredibly understanding and flexible when I made a mistake about pickup timing, which I truly appreciated. Excellent communication, thoughtful updates, and genuine kindness throughout the stay. I will be using her again for all my future sitting needs. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, knowledgable, and trustworthy sitter.

Schedule
Happily retired but like to keep busy, nontheless my schedule is very flexible. It is fun and stimulating to have another happy soul around the house.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a safe fenced yard and a small dog and cat. We get together with many neighbors for doggie playtime (except for the cat of course! ) They have free reign of the house and usually pile on the bed.
Pets
A typical day
Morning routines are potty break, breakfast, another potty break. Playtime in the yard, walkies, join in on doggy playdates in the afternoon, maybe we can squeeze in some nap time and then we're ready for dinner! I will require emergency contact info as well as the pets veterinary contact.
