“Last minute we need a sitter and Adiyah came through in the clutch. Moses and Mercy both came back home happy. We received daily photos and updates of how they were doing which was reassuring. We will be back!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life and understand that every pet has their own personality, needs, and routine. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, energy levels, and temperaments. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I am dependable, attentive, and committed to providing updates and communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. My schedule offers flexibility throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. I will always communicate my availability clearly and make sure your pet receives consistent care, attention, and companionship during each visit. I enjoy incorporating walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and plenty of affection into every pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special instructions provided by their owner. I am attentive during walks, mindful of environmental hazards, and committed to maintaining a calm and positive experience for every pet. I will also provide updates and photos so you can feel connected while you’re away. I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment where pets can feel comfortable and secure. I follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any specific care requests. I understand that being away from home can be stressful for pets, so I focus on creating a calm environment filled with attention, supervision, and affection.
“Marta has become our go-to day care provider and boarder, and we consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have found her. Our dog, Miss Charlie, has stayed with Marta approximately five times now, including the recent Thanksgiving holiday. Each time, Charlie has had a fantastic experience. This last time included a wonderfully special Thanksgiving meal featuring turkey and sweet potatoes! As an overly protective dog mom, finding someone who cares for your pup as much as you do can be challenging. However, I can confidently say that Marta loves our dog just as much as we do. We have complete trust in her, and her professional-quality pictures not only keep us informed but also make us miss our pup even more—they are so cute! If you're in search of an exceptional sitter for your pup, look no further. Marta is, without a doubt, the best choice. We highly recommend her!”

“Our dog is normally very anxious and barky around other dogs but she was wagging her tail and happily hanging with the other pups when we picked her up. Pamela was also very flexible with return times. Thanks so much!”

“Tabatha is a great sitter and I cannot recommend her highly enough! I have a shy cat, Pixie, who is currently mid-treatment requiring daily medication not an easy ask for any sitter. Tabatha handled it all with so much patience and care. She took the time to earn Pixie's trust, gave me daily updates so I never had to wonder how things were going, and closely monitored her eating and litter box habits throughout my trip. Knowing someone was paying that level of attention gave me genuine peace of mind. Her sweet cat Gracie was a bonus, such a gentle companion in the home. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pet like their own, Tabatha is your person. Absolutely will be booking again!”

“Michele was very flexible with our schedule and extremely helpful in taking in our pup at the last minute... he came home tired and really seemed to enjoy his vacation with Michele and Chula.”
“Stephanie and Luis were great with my dog, Shipley. I felt like I picked the best possible spot for him to stay while I was out of town. I will definitely rebook in the future!”

“Tommy was excellent. I had to leave last minute for a work trip and he was more than happy to pick up Goggins. We messaged and met before the days agreed on. I was stressed about work and making sure Goggins was going to a safe place Tommy reassured me he got everything taken care of. He would send me pictures and updates. He dropped Goggins off with everything I gave him and it was an overall great experience. Oh, and it was my first time using Rover! I will definitely rebook with Tommy!”

About: I've grown up with dogs since I was 2 years old and have experience caring for dogs with a variety of personalities and energy levels. I am knowledgeable about potty training puppies and reinforcing good habits and routines. I understand that every dog is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and needs. I am committed to providing safe, attentive, and loving care while keeping pet parents updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. I am especially comfortable with energetic dogs and know how to channel their energy into fun, productive activities that build confidence, reinforce good behavior, and strengthen important life skills. Whether your dog loves playing fetch, practicing basic commands, exploring new walking routes, or simply getting extra attention and companionship, I strive to make every visit enjoyable and enriching. I am free every day from Monday to Sunday from 11 AM until 1AM. I have a very flexible and free schedule . No dog is too much work for me. I can handle it all 😌. I go back to community college in the fall semester. So summer days are perfect for me. I am open to meet and greets before a booking is made. “My active pug had a great stay with Colleen and family. I knew he was in great hands and they kept in touch with pics of Vinny and their lab Lily. Lucky to have found them!”

“Asha was AMAZING! She took care of my 120 pounds German Shephard for a weekend, ans she took very good care of him. Plenty of walks and snuggles! She provided updates twice a day with pictures, so I could see that he was doing well! I would totally book her again if I go away for another weekend!”

About: My love of dogs began when my mom got a puppy when I was in sixth grade. Now I am a dog mom. I've been the proud mom of a Boston Terrier/Frenchie mix for the past 4 years. I've raised her since she was 3 months old, through potty training, puppy training and intermediate training. I'd love to care for your fur baby too. I'm at home during the day and available to drop in/ walk your fur baby. I am available in the mornings and in the afternoon. I have an unfenced end unit townhouse. There is grass on the side of my house and plenty of unfenced grass in my townhome community. I work from home almost every day of the week so I will have time to take care of your baby during the weekday. I'm able to get out and walk dogs on the weekends. I have an unfenced yard and a fenced play area in front of my house. I have a friendly fur baby who likes to play and thinks she's the leader of the pack.
“Sending a huge Thank You to the entire Hopkins Team! Nothing brings me more peace than knowing that Teddy is well taken care of and having a blast when I'm away and when he’s with them I’m truly at ease! Both he and I truly appreciate Team Hopkins and the experience they provide.”

“Abigal was very kind with Chiquita, responsive and very communicative with pictures and daily updates on how she was doing. She accommodated a late arrival and a last minute change in pickup, and her care for my pup was visible. Great sitter and would gladly book again!”

About: I am a true Capitol Hill dog lover and I have always had a strong passion for animals, mostly for dogs. I have been caring for dogs since I was child, taking care of my mother’s beloved shitzu. Taking care of her helped me acquire basic canine behavior and taught me the responsibility of taking care of a pet. Most recently I raised my own best friend, Gelato an English Bulldog. I gained my breeder experience with Gelato and cared for her and her 6 puppies, until they were rehomed at 8 months. I enjoy taking long walks, which I consider the ultimate stress reliever and best way to exercise. I have no problem getting my hands dirty. I have 20 years of experience in the customer service field and enjoy striving to provide the best experience to my clients. In my personal time I am spending time with my 2 little girls teaching them how to play sports, and of course how to be loving pet owners. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! I’m currently working part time and will be available to walk most pets during early mornings hours during the week and mid day and evenings during the weekend. I definitely would like to know your pets temperament, and what might scare them. I know they will feel most comfortable at home but if they are with me, I’d like to keep a calm, pet friendly setting for them to be comfortable in.
“Eli was awesome! My dog is somewhat shy but she took to Eli right away. Eli picked my furbaby up and once he was back to his home he sent a picture of my pooch and where she had her kennel setup. Skittles was able sit and stare out the windows, which she loves to do. I received plenty of pictures to put me at ease. Eli also had a camera setup so I could see my dog if I wanted!!! I’m super happy with Eli as he was on time for pickup and drop off and overall is a very nice person! I will definitely board my dog with Eli again!!!!”

“I had 2 trips back to back, so had to leave Otis for an extended period. He was in good hands, and enjoyed himself so much with the other dogs that I think he is a little shocked to be at home where he is the only one!”

“Lia was responsive and sent detailed updates throughout each day. Lia was also very flexible with some last minute changes I needed to make to the booking. Foxy had a great time staying with her!”

“Joseph was very communicative and shared pictures of our pups with us daily. He followed all directions we gave him and made sure our pups feel at home under his care. I would recommend Joseph as a pet sitter and would entrust him with watching our pups again in the future. Thanks for taking care of our babies!”

Crystal is my forever sitter! Every time I get my lil man back he is calm and glowing. He has been coming out of his shell thanks to her loving care and creative enrichment. My shy, old guy even plays tug and initiates play with other dogs now! It’s so great to see this side of him. Thanks Crystal for always taking such good care of Scooter 🙏🏾

So happy to have found Estela. She is very good with Dexter, who is not open to everyone. I go away on vacations knowing that he is in good hands. Estela is wonderful to work with and responds quickly. I appreciate that she lets me modify my booking when needed to extend the time. She stays in contact with photos. I am grateful to have her care for Dexter.
Ilia is an outstanding sitter! She came over and bonded with Tofu prior to our travels. We were also fortunate that he got along well with her two dogs. She provided me with daily updates with pictures. Tofu made himself at home with Ilia and settled in pretty well by the first night. I strongly recommend Ilia to sit your fur baby. She's caring, attentive, communicative, and overall compassionate. I was comforted to know that my dog was in the greatest care in my absence. Thank you, Ilia!

Trayonna was great with Hunter. She communicated very well and left my mind at ease when it came to leaving him with someone new in such short notice. She took him out to play regularly and sent me so many updates which I loved. Hunter seemed very happy in each picture & enjoyed his cuddles. He came home happy and tired lol. I will 100% be trusting her with Hunter again.

Angela communicated excellently with me from our first interaction after I requested the booking. From setting up our meet and greet, dropping off and picking up my boy, and throught the period he was in her care, she was very engaged. While I was away, she was concerned when my dog was not as friendly (as he was initially) and she reached out to ask how she could improve his mood; which showed how vested she was in his wellbeing. It was a joy reading about, as well as seeing the videos and pictures of her family getting along with my dog, and I will surely use her service in the future. Thank you for taking good care of my boy, Angela!

Samsara and her daughter, Layla, were absolutely fantastic with Oliver. As we drove up, Layla came toward the car and you could see her excitement and enthusiasm. It was comforting to know that my dog was going to be in a home which truly appreciated dogs. Samsara and myself discussed rules and expectations, another comfort because the process assured we would be on the same page. Wonderful communication, wonderful times, wonderful choice. You can’t go wrong if you choose Samsara and Layla!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
