“Michelle is amazing! After she took great care of our Rotty Junior for a weekend, we rebooked Junior to do an extended two week stay with Michelle, as my wife and I were out of town for our wedding/honeymoon. Michelle always kept us updated with photos, videos and how he was doing overall, but even more then that Michelle treated Junior as family and provided him with genuine loving care and an extremely fun social environment while we were out of town. 10/10 recommend booking Michelle!”

“Barbara was absolutely what I had been searching for. I wanted someone to care for Bentley as if he was their own. I needed to have a person that understands pups that are somewhat privileged (spoiled). Bentley was cared for and loved on and was never exposed to danger. Barbara cared for Bentkey so well that he became possessive when her when her pup Justice wanted her attention. Barbara is an A1 sitter and I would use her again.”

I truly appreciate her and her husband and I can assure you will vacay at ease with them caring for your pup. I can’t wait til next time!!”

“This is my 4th booking with Alder and Kathy and unless they are unavailable, I will continue to book with them. They are incredibly kind and soooo good with my little guy who can be shy. They send updates and I literally NEVER worry when he’s staying with them.”

“Jessica took great care of our pup Bailey! Bailey had the time of her life playing with balls and going for a hike. We got great pictures every morning. Jessica is really thoughtful in making sure the pups integrate well together. We will definitely have Bailey sit with her again.”

About: Since my teenage years, I have taken care of various pets, cats, dogs, fish, turtles, frogs, birds, rabbits, and hamsters. In Denver, Colorado, I was assistant manager for a pet shop. We not only provided retail, but we provided play space washing, and grooming. I am looking forward to working with friendly only pets. I currently work my digital editing business part-time so I have ample time to add a pet in my daily routine. I am available daily from 4:30 AM until 10 PM. My preference would be to pet sit where they reside, but if a pet does need to stay with me overnight, they can expect a friendly, quiet, playful, safe place with three levels. There's also a dog park walking distance.
About: I've grown up with dogs since I was 2 years old and have experience caring for dogs with a variety of personalities and energy levels. I am knowledgeable about potty training puppies and reinforcing good habits and routines. I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, providing plenty of exercise, and finding engaging activities that help keep them mentally stimulated. I understand that every dog is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, preferences, and needs. I am committed to providing safe, attentive, and loving care while keeping pet parents updated with messages and photos for peace of mind. I am especially comfortable with energetic dogs and know how to channel their energy into fun, productive activities that build confidence, reinforce good behavior, and strengthen important life skills. Whether your dog loves playing fetch, practicing basic commands, exploring new walking routes, or simply getting extra attention and companionship, I strive to make every visit enjoyable and enriching. I am free every day from Monday to Sunday from 11 AM until 1AM. I have a very flexible and free schedule . No dog is too much work for me. I can handle it all 😌. I go back to community college in the fall semester. So summer days are perfect for me. I am open to meet and greets before a booking is made. I have a pond behind my house where I can walk dogs to get in a good exercise. I also have a long sidewalk trail in my neighborhood that also has a great area of grass land for dogs to run and play. I lastly have a park 2 minutes from my house where dogs can run, play and interact with other dogs.

“Danielle is simply amazing! She communicated often and made Moe feel like he was at home, as we were leaving Moe fan and gave her a good-bye hug. He likes it there. I will use her again. Thank you so much!!!!!”

Nicole was amazing with our kitty on her first boarding experience. Nicole gave Paris the space to adjust at her pace, and gave lots of love and attention to make her feel at home. I loved all of the photos and videos each day so we could see how well she was doing!

Ms. Mady checked in every day with a photos and videos of our babies. Letting us know that they had eaten, gone out, and play. She followed both of our babies food instructions amazingly. We truly enjoyed every photos and updates, sent to us daily, which eased our worries helping us to enjoy our trip. We highly recommend her service .

I had a wonderful experience with Renea boarding my dog, Gucci! Renea made Gucci feel right at home and kept me updated with adorable pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. Gucci has a very particular diet, and Renea followed it carefully and attentively. I could tell Gucci was happy and well cared for the entire time. I highly recommend Renea to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog boarder!

Again, Jayme was absolutely wonderful. My two senior dogs had a blast with her! They made themselves right at home within minutes from drop off. In the daily photos I received for updates, it was clear that they were enjoying themselves and feeling safe/relaxed. Jayme was very receptive to my concerns and ensured that my dogs had their needs met and more. The more I use her to Rover my dogs, my decisions continues to be positively reinforced that she definitely is the right sitter as my “go-to” person for Rover.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
