“Angela was amazing! She was so kind, attentive, and kept our dog active and happy while we were away. She is a true animal lover! We really appreciated all the updates, photos, and videos, it gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend her and would absolutely book again! 🐾”

“Megan was wonderful - I would say she went above and beyond. My dog Carter and I had not been apart for a full day or even an overnight since I adopted him in January and I was very worried about being apart from him for nearly a week. Megan clearly made Carter feel at home, listened to the things I told her would help maintain Carter's routine, figured out how to adjust when Carter made clear he wasn't staying in his routine when he out of his routine. They clearly had great affection for one another and Megan sent me many photos and videos showing me that Carter was doing well. It was a great experience and I would want to hire Megan again for a similar occasion.”

“We only had 22-month-old Addie less than two weeks, when we unexpectedly had to go out of town. We were concerned about leaving her so soon, but after meeting Marcella, we were no longer apprehensive. Marcella is wonderful, as is her sweet dog, Caesar! Addie stayed with Marcella for two days and two nights, and did well, had fun with the other dogs, and enjoyed the fenced backyard. If we had any lingering doubts (of which we had none), they would have been chased away by the photos and videos of Addie in action, that Marcella sent each day. It’s obvious that Marcella is a caring person who loves animals. We definitely will be leaving Addie in her care again.”

“This was my first time using the app, and Estela answered all my questions before I booked. When I dropped off Coco, she immediately went to her. She also sent me pictures and kept me updated on how my dog was doing throughout the day and overnight. I appreciate how much she cares about animals, ensuring they return happy. I was pleased to see my dog happy when she came back, and we will definitely use her services again.”

“Michele, Went out of her way to come personally to my house the day before the reservation to meet Yogi and ease the transition. She taught me things about Yogi in two days of caring for him that I hadn't realized after seven years of being a dog parent to him. She is our dogs first sitter outside of the home and because of her steady kind care, he did amazing. My dog is anxious and has had trauma as a puppy. He was happy with Michele and she sent me updates along the way so I could feel confident in his stay there. THANK YOU MICHELE!”

“I am absolutely and positively grateful that we found Alison and Brian (and Megatron!) Woof!!! Cash was loved like he belonged to their family; when he didn't eat his food (which happens anytime he's away from home) Alison reached our to me, and offered alternatives. Thank you so much for taking care of Cash and for your brave service to our country! Looking forward to having you look after our fur boy again soon :-) xoxoxo”

“Late review, but Bria was amazing and took great care of my puppers while I went on vacation. She consistently updated me and took plenty of photos of my dog trying to get accustomed to the new environment. I provided Bria with essential instructions and tips, and she followed them to the best of her ability. I would recommend using her services to watch your pet, as I plan to use her again :) thank you Bria for everything.”

“We are absolutely thrilled to have met Anissa and her family! From the meet and greet and throughout all of our booking, it was easy to see that Anissa is experienced and professional. Our dog Chupie had a wonderful time and it gave us such peace of mind to know that she is cared for and loved. Anissa sent me frequent updates and photos and it was always a joy to communicate with her. She even got Chupie a coat when the weather got colder ❤️ Thank you so much for taking great care of our Chupie ☺️”

“Barbara was absolutely what I had been searching for. I wanted someone to care for Bentley as if he was their own. I needed to have a person that understands pups that are somewhat privileged (spoiled). Bentley was cared for and loved on and was never exposed to danger. Barbara cared for Bentkey so well that he became possessive when her when her pup Justice wanted her attention. Barbara is an A1 sitter and I would use her again.”

“April made me feel comfortable leaving my dog as a first time Rover user. Great communication and service! I loved the picture updates and will definitely book again. Thank you, April!”

“My fur baby stayed with Lynette and Vincent during the weekend of January 12-15. I loved that they communicated via text with me daily morning/evening as to what activities were taking place along with providing pictures. I appreciated that level of communication. My baby enjoyed his stay and was really exhausted once he returned home. I would highly recommend this couple as pet sitters. They know what they are doing!!!! They are passionate about caring for the pets.”

“Jessica had my puppy for a full week. She was great with communicating and sent us a ton of pictures daily. it was great to get the daily updates, especially since it was our first time leaving our pup. Will definitely book again for future trips!”

“This lovely couple is my fur baby’s preferred boarder. He’s stayed with them now more than 3x and when I use this app, I always rebook with them. They are kind, share updates and have a clean and safe home. My little guy - typically shy - is excited when he stays with them. 5 out 5 stars”

About: Since my teenage years, I have taken care of various pets, cats, dogs, fish, turtles, frogs, birds, rabbits, and hamsters. In Denver, Colorado, I was assistant manager for a pet shop. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Bowie
Nicole was amazing with our kitty on her first boarding experience. Nicole gave Paris the space to adjust at her pace, and gave lots of love and attention to make her feel at home. I loved all of the photos and videos each day so we could see how well she was doing!

Ms. Mady checked in every day with a photos and videos of our babies. Letting us know that they had eaten, gone out, and play. She followed both of our babies food instructions amazingly. We truly enjoyed every photos and updates, sent to us daily, which eased our worries helping us to enjoy our trip. We highly recommend her service .

I had a wonderful experience with Renea boarding my dog, Gucci! Renea made Gucci feel right at home and kept me updated with adorable pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind. Gucci has a very particular diet, and Renea followed it carefully and attentively. I could tell Gucci was happy and well cared for the entire time. I highly recommend Renea to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog boarder!

Again, Jayme was absolutely wonderful. My two senior dogs had a blast with her! They made themselves right at home within minutes from drop off. In the daily photos I received for updates, it was clear that they were enjoying themselves and feeling safe/relaxed. Jayme was very receptive to my concerns and ensured that my dogs had their needs met and more. The more I use her to Rover my dogs, my decisions continues to be positively reinforced that she definitely is the right sitter as my “go-to” person for Rover.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
