“We were very nervous to leave our cat alone for a week. Haley was attentive and patient during the meet and greet. She was empathetic to our nervousness and sent extra pics during her drop ins to make sure we felt confident Albert was doing okay. We especially appreciated the pics of his food and water. She listened and followed our instructions, made sure both locks on our doors were secure, and we came home to a happy cat and a home in perfect order. Will absolutely be booking with Haley anytime we need care for Albert.”
“This is the second time we’ve used Jessica and she is the greatest! Our extremely shy cat adores her and she spends quality time with him. So glad we found such a reliable and kind cat sitter. Highly recommend using Jessie, your pets will love her!”

“Amy took care of our cat Simba on very short notice and sent us pics everyday! He is an indoor/outdoor cat but we wanted him kept inside while we were away and Amy was even able to not let him sneak out! Thanks so much Amy”

About: I’ve cared for dogs for over five years and currently raise a Border Collie/German Shepherd mix, so I understand high-energy breeds and puppy training. I’m consistent, patient, and attentive to routines. I have experience with crate training, basic commands, teething stages, and managing excitement around children. I treat every dog like my own and prioritize safety, structure, and plenty of exercise. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I already structure my days around my own dog’s schedule. I’m used to morning and evening walks, feeding routines, playtime, and weekly training sessions. I spend my work breaks playing with my own dog. I plan ahead and prioritize consistency, so adding additional pets to my routine feels seamless and well-organized. Safety is always my top priority. I follow each pet’s routine closely, keep doors and gates secured, and maintain a calm, structured environment. I’m attentive to body language and behavior, especially with high-energy dogs, and I never leave pets unsupervised in unsafe situations. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and stick to all instructions to ensure their pet feels comfortable and secure. When walking dogs. I always make sure to be attentive and watch our surroundings
“A true star! Taryn was able to come and look after my 4 large breed dogs on last minute notice. She followed all my instructions perfectly and from the pictures you can really see how much my dogs loved her and happy they were. I will definitely be using her again!”

“Ian was extremely quick to respond, thorough with all the details, very affordable and exceptionally flexible with our needs. Will absolutely use Ian again and highly recommend to anyone! ?????????”
“Ziasia was a great dog sitter for my sweet Jaeda. Jaeda was walked and feed, brief updates were given with a photo. I was able to communicate with Ziasia as needed during my time away which was very comforting to me.”

About: Since my teenage years, I have taken care of various pets, cats, dogs, fish, turtles, frogs, birds, rabbits, and hamsters. In Denver, Colorado, I was assistant manager for a pet shop. We not only provided retail, but we provided play space washing, and grooming. I am looking forward to working with friendly only pets. I currently work my digital editing business part-time so I have ample time to add a pet in my daily routine. I am available daily from 4:30 AM until 10 PM. My preference would be to pet sit where they reside, but if a pet does need to stay with me overnight, they can expect a friendly, quiet, playful, safe place with three levels. There's also a dog park walking distance.

About: Hi! I'm a college student home for the summer with a flexible schedule and a genuine love for dogs. I provide a safe, comfortable, and attentive environment where your pet can feel at home while you're away! I have dog sat for family, friends, and even neighbors for a little over 4 years now! I’ve always wanted a pet myself but never had a chance to so I disperse my love and affection for all pets! I understand that every pet has different needs between playtime, walks, needing a specific schedule. I will make sure that whatever the need may be, I will follow it as closely as possible so that they can feel as comfortable as possible. I believe that communication is very important so I will always provide updates, pictures, and etc so that you can have peace of mind at all times! My goal is to make sure both you and your pet have a positive, stress-free experience. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family member! I currently work with the government on a schedule where I choose the days and times that I work! Shifts are not available everyday so in the free time that I have, I love to pet sit! Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a calm, supervised environment and make sure pets always have access to fresh water, a comfortable place to rest, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I will follow your instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special needs. There are no other pets in my home and no children present! Pets can be crated if needed and they are not often left alone (if cannot be left alone at all then your pet will not be left alone!).

“This was the 3rd time TeQuilla has looked in on our feline boys while we were out of town. Each and every time we leave knowing they are in good hands, and we are so grateful for her care. There is no one else we would ask to check in on them. The boys love her too. Thank you, TeQuilla. 🙏”

“Heather was a last minute fill in for a travel conflict that popped up. She responded quickly and willingly accepted looking after our pups. Very pleased with her timely response and professionalism.”

About: I’ve been a huge animal lover my entire life! I grew up with a family dog for 14 years, and for the last 2 years, I've been a cat parent to my own kitty, so I understand both dog and cat personalities. I’ve been the sitter for my friends and family whenever they go out of town. Plus, giving back to animals is super important to me; I've been volunteering at animal shelters since high school and still do today. Whether your fur baby needs lots of playtime, long walks, or just some cozy cuddles, I'll treat your baby like my own! My work gives me flexibility throughout the week. From Monday-Friday, I normally work in the office from 12-6pm. So, I am available for early morning and late morning walks before I leave, and I am back in time for dinner and evening care. My weekends are pretty open, so I have plenty of time for extended visits and walks. I follow all the rules and instructions you give me for both your house and your pet's care. Whether your pet has a specific feeding schedule, strict house boundaries, or a precise medication routine, I will make sure everything is done exactly the way you want it. Your home and your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities while you are away
“Alayja was amazing with my cat during her drop in visits. She went over and beyond for him and always responded quickly to any questions I had. I will definitely be rebooking with her.”
About: Hello! I’m a college students who has always had a soft spot for animals. I’ve had 2 dogs of my own; Hunter was a black lab German shepherd mix and Bear was a Yorkshire mix. I took care of my friend’s dog, Harley who is a dachshund mix, when they needed help. Hunter had a couple of medical issues so I’m well versed in giving medication to dogs. Both of my dogs were super reactive so I also have experience in that area aswell. Harley is a senior dog so I make sure he gets what he needs adequately. I’m a college who loves being active! Having the opportunity to be with dogs, getting more steps in, and getting paid is like hitting three birds with one stone. So that means I’m available every day for the summer! I’ve had big and small dogs previously myself and I have also taken care of my friend’s dogs as well. I enjoy spending time with animals and playing with them! I’m currently in a apartment so boarding is not suitable for me or your dogs, however, drop-ins and walking are well within my schedule.
“Goldie Loves Milanni! Milanni is someone I can count on for drop-ins or boarding when I’m traveling around the world. I appreciate how easy it is to communicate with her and she confidently takes care of business without any worry. Goldie appreciates Milanni being part of her caregiving community when I am away. I recommend Milanni for your pet and caregiving needs.”

Fridays - Sunday I am available most of the day, with an occasional restaurant dinner shift from 4pm-10:30 pm, with which I am still very flexible and can help out during the day and after work. As an animal lover with experience caring for both pets and other animals, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Taryn was a fantastic Rover sitter for our dog, Rosy! From our "meet & greet" to her actual care of Rosy, Taryn was punctual, professional, and so kind and caring. She is an animal lover and I could definitely tell! She was great at keeping me informed while I was gone, followed all the directions we left for her, and I know Rosy enjoyed her company. I would definitely hire Taryn again!! She was great and I'm so glad I found her!

Robin was is so sweet and our pup just loved her company! She sent updates and pictures to let us know when she arrived/left, and also asked if we needed her to do anything else before she left. We came home to a happy pup! We hope to keep working with Robin in the future.

We are so appreciative of Chris being avail to pop in on our Lil big guy during the holiday. He was great from the communication, the photos he sent and giving big baby some tlc which I'm sure he enjoyed. We'd definitely recommend Chris and look forward to reaching out to him again.- Thanks Chris!!

I cannot recommend Sarah B.enough. From the very first message, their communication was clear, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
