Hello there! My name is Ian, and I've been a dog walker of and on for about 7 years now. I grew up with a black lab by the name of Rocky. He and I were best friends. The kind of friendship where he was always excited to see me, go out for walks, and steal the blankets off of me at night! That's the sort of friendship I'd love to share with your dog. I'm experienced with both dog sitting and walking. Before doing either, I like to take some time to visit both you and your dog so they get used to me and vice versa. I like to try and give your pet comfort and a chance to adjust to me. For dog walking and visits, I try to be flexible with my hours. I try to show up early or right on time, if I know I am running late I make sure to call to let you know so you can adjust your schedule if need be. For house and pet sitting, I like to try and leave the house cleaner than when you left it for when you get back. If I am pet sitting, I make sure to stay with your pet throughout the day, and if I plan to do any walks for others during my time there I will make sure to inform you and talk things over to make sure your dog still gets the best treatment and care that they deserve. I'm also capable of making sure of giving them any medication that they might need as well as possible additional care. I'm hoping to meet you!

I am more than happy to help make any personal adjustments your pet might need. That can include feeding, more of a focus on play time, or any other need. I also know pets all have different personalities and enjoy speaking with the owner to best learn about their dog or cat. Knowing their dos and don'ts is very important to me!

Ian walked my border collie mix, Sophie for four years. Sophie was a reactive dog. Ian developed a loving, playful and assertive relationship with Sophie. He learned her body language, ran her and got her to relax. He texted me daily with updates, let me know when he was not going to be available and was often able to step in to help at a moments notice. Most importantly Sophie loved him. I was truly lucky to have found Ian!
Ian has been dog walking for me for over two years. He is very reliable and dependable. I have used him on several occasions to dog/cat/house sit when on travel. Many others here at this retirement community have also used him with very high recommendations. He and my very large dog get along splendidly. Cannot day enough good things about Ian.
Ian has walked my dog (a golden Lab) many times over the past three years and on several occasions he moved into my apartment while I was away. He is very good with dogs. My dog, Dorothy loves Ian. He is very reliable, takes good care of her and does her medications which includes rubbing a lubricating salve on her gums.

Schedule
I currently work part time! I am available starting after 3PM on Mon - Thursday, and free for any time Saturday and Sundays. My current plan is to try and free up more of my time to be able to help in the mornings too!
