Animals want to feel comfortable and safe just like humans do, and I am joining Rover so I can help provide this type of care for more loving pet owners 😊 If your dog stays with me we will: go on a minimum of 2 15-30 minute walks, have plenty of play time inside and outside, and be cuddled up on the couch enjoying each other's love. Trust that with me, your pet with be safe and have a great time 😊 I work remotely, so I have flexibility between the hours of 7am to 7pm to: pick up or drop off a pet, let a dog out to use the bathroom and get some fresh air, take a dog out on multiple walks and socialize them if their parent wants/allows that, be in the home whenever the pet wants attention and love, stimulate their brain by playing with them, and feed it breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I want to ensure a pet gets the most out of their day! I have been caring for animals most of my life, and I care for them as if they are my own pets. I make sure their needs (food, water, bed/sleeping area) are easily accessible and that I am available to them whenever they need. I have a fenced in yard and communal courtyard, making bathroom breaks and outdoor playtime/exploration easy! I also have an open living room and a long hallway making indoor playtime fun and doable! And I have windows that look out onto the street and nature to keep their mind busy on those days the weather isn't the best (and they may not want to be outside). When on walks, I am alert and ensure they are always close to me and in safe situations. I know all the safe foods & medicines cats and dogs can have, as well as the unsafe foods & meds, which I make sure are put away and/out of reach for the animal. I know when to be stern in my tone of voice to discipline a dog when necessary (e.g. out on a walk and they are pulling or I need to get their attention, if they have gotten into something that they shouldn't have, etc.). I want to always make sure the pet is safe from harm when with me. They are like children to me, and I will do anything to protect a child! In addition to ensuring the pets safety, I love to snuggle and give pets all throughout the day, providing the pet with lots of love and comfort. Making them happy makes me happy!
About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 4 and feel a sense of comfort in their presence . They’re loyalty and respect made me feel safe and still does to this day (even though I own a cat 😂) . Growing up my aunt and cousins had dogs and when I would see them I would always feed them , groom them and walk them .Even till this day I still walk my neighbors dog . I would never look at those jobs as chores but as fun and even now I simply do not look at it as a chore but something I look forward to . Dogs have been an important part of my life and have been they’re for me and it would be great to be there for them. I currently do online school at home so my schedule is very flexible and I’m in the neighborhood and at home most of the time. I have a fenced back yard they can run in and have cat who will be staying in my mothers room and not coming out . Depending on the dogs size it will be able to have space and roam the house but if not I have plenty of space in my living room area . About: I have cared for dogs over 25 years. I have taught my children how to care for and love dogs. Although, we currently do not own any pets- we put our love on your pets. I work from home 5 days per week until 2pm. The children are all home by 5pm when they can walk, feed and play with pets together. I will only care for your dog in my home. Nicole was great with Duke! She clearly has really good dog sense and knew how to handle his energy right away. Duke can be a little excitable and likes to jump when he meets people, and I really appreciated that she didn’t encourage or entertain that behavior and instead stayed calm and consistent with him. You could tell she was comfortable reading his body language and handling a big, energetic Doberman, which gave us a lot of confidence leaving him with her. Duke seemed very comfortable with her as well. We’d definitely recommend Nicole and would be happy to have her watch him again!
