“Bella is a great sitter! I left my 3 babies in her care for 10 days while on vacation out of State and she was reliable, punctual, and took care of Mattie, Stella and Biscuit with much love and attention. I received photos and updates daily. She was always reachable by either phone or text. Thanks Bella!!”

“Megan was absolutely amazing with Oreo! She was incredibly kind, reliable, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving Oreo in her care. She kept us updated throughout the stay and sent plenty of pictures, which we really appreciated. Oreo looked happy, relaxed, and right at home with her. It was clear that Megan genuinely cared about her and treated her like one of her own. We would absolutely book with Megan again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“Harrison was great! He was super flexible and communicative. He also checked in a couple times before the drop ins to ensure he had all the necessary information to care for Guillermo. He sent multiple pictures and provided an update for each visit, which I really appreciate. Thanks Harrison!”

“Snowden could not have been better for us! She has amazing energy and our dog took right to her. Incredibly respectful of our home & managing while we were away. We'll become regulars :)”

About: Besides my own dogs that I have taken care of since I was very young, I also have been relied on to take care of family and neighbor dogs. Most dogs that I have cared for have been geriatric, and I am extremely patient with them, and strong enough to even lift the larger dogs when they can’t lift themselves. Before coming to MD, I worked on a farm and interacted with dozens of dogs every day. I have never met a dog that hasn’t liked me, or one I haven’t liked. I work from home and so can easily step out for a drop-in or house sit and work from your home. I can do early morning or late evening according to need. I am unable to board your dogs. However, I am more than able to watch your dogs in your home. When in a client’s home, my philosophy is to only touch what is needed. The client’s direction and privacy is key to a good relationship, as well as my discretion.

About: Lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats for friends, family, and neighbors. I grew up with two family dogs and now have a 6-year-old “super mutt” named Mija who completely runs the household (and honestly, I’m okay with that). I’m responsible, trustworthy, attentive, and genuinely happiest when I’m around animals. Whether your pet loves long walks, belly rubs, playtime, or just a calm comforting presence, I’ll care for them like they’re my own. I know how important it is to trust the person watching your pets, and I take that responsibility seriously — while still making sure your furry family member has a fun, loving experience. I currently work part time in e-commerce and my availability is very flexible. I’m working towards a real estate license and my long-term goal is to retire my mom! I have experience caring for and walking dogs of all breeds and sizes, including large breeds that require confidence, awareness, and strong handling skills. Safety is always my top priority, and I have exceptional risk assessment when it comes to walks, environments, and interactions with other animals. I’m also comfortable administering medications and following specific care instructions and routines. As a lifelong dog owner, I understand how important structure, consistency, and enrichment are for pets. My own dog thrives on her daily routines and knows exactly when it’s time for walks, dinner, and her nightly “search and find” game. I genuinely love building trust with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while their owners are away.
“Maddi was amazing! She checked in on our dogs every day for a week and was always communicative and punctual. She did a great Rover card every time and went the extra mile to cuddle with the dogs when it was too hot to play outside. We love Maddi and highly recommend her!”

About: I’ve cared for my own dog for the past 3 years, giving me daily, real‑world experience with feeding routines, walks, training, and managing anxiety. I’m patient, attentive, and committed to keeping pets safe, comfortable, and happy while their people are away. I work during the day, but I’m available for pet care in the afternoons, evenings, weekends, and on most holidays. I make time to ensure every pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, bathroom breaks, and companionship while they’re in my care. I’ve owned my own dog for the past three years and have experience living with two dogs and three cats, so I’m comfortable caring for pets with different personalities and needs. I prioritize their safety by following your care instructions, maintaining their feeding and potty schedules, keeping a clean and secure environment, and providing plenty of supervision, affection, and exercise. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.
“Rachel is a wonderful, kind hearted, and thoughtful person. She doesn't just take care of your loved one, she thinks about your house and your life. We will absolutely be booking again!”

About: I currently have an Australian Shepherd that I have taken care of and trained for the last half decade, along with having lived with and cared for two cats over a decade. Active Duty military, I am available to provide care prior to 8am, and generally available after 4pm, depending on location I can commit to a 30 minute lunch visit. I am almost always available for the full day on weekends, and holidays. I will return your puppy both tired and happy! I have a small fenced in yard, and a lovely fur-ball that will play with your lovely fur-ball. The location is extremely safe and accommodating to all potential needs.

About: With over 15 years of hands on experience caring for animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, and farm animals, I provide reliable, compassionate care tailored to each pet’s unique needs. Whether it’s a fun walk, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll treat them like they’re my own.
About: As stated, I have an 8 almost 8 year old German Shepherd myself. I’ve trained him myself to be quite obedient off leash, to listen well, and overall he’s very well behaved. I’ve grown up with dogs, cats, turtles and more so I know my way around animals. I’m currently enlisted in the United States Navy. I work at the Naval Academy typically from around 9 in the morning to about 3pm most days. I’m also married with two kids and my wife is a stay at home mom who can also look after your furry friends as well. I don’t work weekends so I’m always available during the weekends and can be flexible throughout the week as well. At my home my dog is never crated he is always out and house trained. However, when looking after your fur babies if they need to be crated I have no issue catering to your needs. I don’t have a yard but we have a massive field and live in a circle so long walks are always a must. Whatever the needs of your fur babies, I can take care of those from daily dog walking, spending and playing time with your animals, staying over night at yours/my place, and giving g medicine if needed.

Basically your schedule would be my priority. Learning day by day. I can’t board currently but can house sit. I’m active and like nature so ready to take your furry friend on an adventure. Learning treat training but ready to follow any rules you have in place. Want every being to be safe and happy at the end of day. Fun fact have a pittie so have the arm strength of a god!!!
“Liza is the BEST! This was the first time Liza visited Ruby and we will definitely request her again when we need a sitter. She was understanding of my concern for Ruby’s care. I appreciate her attention to details, her communication with photos and her interaction with Ruby. We came home to a very happy pup.”

“Gunner and I could not have been more pleased with Kacie. She did an excellent job with updating their time together. This was my first time with Rover and I definitely recommend Kacie!”

“Jazmin has been highly communicative, very proactive, and sent me a lot of photos of the fur babies, which put me at great ease. She’s also been very punctual and checked in with me during the visits. I so appreciate that kind of thoughtful support and strong communication! Will be reaching out to her for future pet care. Thank you, Jazmin!”

“Pros: - Fed them - gave them meds - took them for potty - First time they came they stayed the fully scheduled amount of time - Willing to come to our house before scheduling so the dogs could meet them. Cons: - Only stayed between 12 and 17 minutes for three of the four drop ins - On the second night they didn’t get to our house until two hours after their scheduled time (we have security cameras in our house so we could see). I messaged them and tried calling but they never responded and the call went straight to voicemail.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Riva
Pam does such a great job in caring for our dog! She puts us at ease when we travel knowing he's being cared for so diligently. She goes above and beyond. Our dog can take a little while getting used to new people but really loves Pam. Will definitely call Pam again!
Marley was absolutely fantastic with our 5-month-old puppy, Goose! He’s definitely a handful, but everything went incredibly smoothly. Her quick and consistent communication before, during, and after her visit gave me complete confidence that he was in great hands. I also loved the pictures she shared and appreciated the updates throughout her time with him. I would happily have Marley watch Goose again and highly recommend her!

Mara was amazing at caring for my very senior special needs dog and our other dog who doesn't warm up to people so well (but Mara's energy won her over). She provided great pictures to let us know they were doing well. Also, I appreciated how she accommodated our last minute booking when I was having trouble finding anything dog sitter. She's highly skilled and a literal dog whisperer. :-)

This was our first experience with Rover. Ava was professional, timely, and provided great communication during pet sessions. We came home to a happy dog, and a clean home ( Ava even pulled the trash cans down the night before needed due to our late return!!). Definitely worth the price for not having to corral several neighbors to coordinate pet care.

Caitlyn has been wonderful with our dog, Hobo. She was flexible and added in extra walks when we called from vacation and needed it. Her visits have always been lengthy with lots of exercise and playtime, and she was willing to come early mornings and late at night. She sent lots of pictures and it was clear that Hobo was having a great time with her. Caitlyn definitely went above and beyond and I would recommend her 100%.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
