About: My husband and I have owned multiple dogs, mostly two at a time, since we've been married, 38 years now. Two of which were rescue dogs and one of those two I actually rehabbed to be comfortable around other people and dogs. My daughter, Shannon, is also a Rover Sitter ("Shannon's Doggie Flop Pad"), and occasionally she has needed me to dog sit for her because of high demand. I really enjoyed the dogs I watched and my pups had a great time playing with them, so I decided to become a Rover Sitter myself! Shannon and I have been referring each other ever since. During your dogs stay, they will be loved and cared for as if they were my own. Our big, completely fenced-in, backyard lets the dogs run, play and explore as much as they'd like. I can also take your dogs for walks if that is part of their daily routine. No need to bring toys, we have toys galore. Unless, they have a favorite they can't be without. Taking care of your pets is my first priority! I am home most days all day, if not me, my husband works from home full time and is my partner in caring for the dogs. I do work very part time outside the home, a few days a month, I’m never gone for more than 3 hours at a time. I have a fully fenced in back yard for your pet’s safety. I will care for your pet or pets as if they were my own in my home, giving them lots of love and attention. I do have one small dog of my own who gets along well with all dogs and will be excited to meet yours and to keep your fury friend company.

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover and have been a veterinary technician for 8 years, so your pup will be in knowledgeable, experienced hands. I’m comfortable with feeding schedules, administering medications, recognizing signs of stress or illness, and handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I stay home with my toddler, which means your dog will receive plenty of supervision, structure, and love throughout the day. I also have two very friendly, well-socialized dogs of my own who love making new friends. I treat every dog like part of the family and understand how important it is to have someone you fully trust caring for your pet. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I’m home full-time and already structured around consistent schedules. Our days include regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and rest periods, so adding another pup into that rhythm is easy and intentional. I plan my day around the dogs’ needs — whether that’s supervised outdoor time, enrichment activities, or quiet crate breaks — making sure each pet feels comfortable, safe, and included. Because I’m home, your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will always have attentive, hands-on care. I have a fenced yard for free roaming with my dogs or play time. I also have space for crates if you dog needs to be crated during the night or any specific time.

The ability to run around the large fenced backyard and play with several of Valerie's dogs is excellent exercise and social stimulation for her. The fact Valerie has a spare room Laffy can have to sleep in with no worries about what she can get into is very comforting. Lastly, Valerie is so flexible in drop off and pickup times and responds very quickly to our booking requests. She makes leaving Laffy when we need to a very easy and positive experience.”

About: I have owned pets most of my life. I have extensive experience caring for dogs, cats, reptiles, fish, and many other animals. I am also great with plants. I have been pet sitting outside of Rover for many years. I have a very sweet pit mix and do not discriminate against any breed! I understand the importance of trust and communication while allowing someone to care for your pet! I will always go above and beyond to give extra love to your furry friend, not just take care of basic needs. I keep a well stocked pet cabinet and bring supplies with me for sits, drop-ins, and walks. Anxiety, tummy issues, allergies, discomfort, first aid, grooming, enrichment- you name it, I'm prepared. I've handled several medical emergencies. I take the responsibility seriously. You can trust your family member will be properly cared for in any situation. Any concerns or changes in routine will be addressed with you immediately. *If interested in boarding please note that I do have a 66 pound Pit mix. He previously lived with another dog, a cat, and two toddlers. He is very friendly with absolutely zero aggression. He will not stand up for himself. I would be happy to do a meet and greet in my home or on neutral ground. If your pet is not compatible with large male dogs, please do not request this service. Alternatively, I would be happy to pet sit or stop in for longer visits. I work from home part time with very flexible hours. I can easily fit any needed pet care into my routine. I am up and available at most hours, early morning and late at night included. I do not board more than 2 pets at a time. Though I do not personally crate, I will if it's the routine of your pet and the crate is provided. My home is equipped with baby gates and large bedrooms so I am prepared to separate without your furry friend feeling too cooped up, should the need arise. I do not have a fenced backyard. Walks will be given a minimum of 3 times a day. 4-5 walks is my normal routine, though I am happy to follow your pets cues or their routine. My neighborhood is pet friendly with walking trails and lots of shaded areas. I have a deck with a large umbrella and dog beds, perfect if your pet likes to sunbathe as mine does!
