About: I’ve grown up with huskies and they are very high energy and active! I have experience with puppies as my sister adopted a chocolate lab puppy and I was over almost every week, including several different times where I watched him for a week on my own over the last year. I have also taken care of other small and large dogs and used to volunteer at Lucky Dog in D.C. where I walk ownerless dogs for free. My neighbor has relied on me to take care of her two cats for several different week-long occasions. I love playing with animals and will provide the best care because I know that our pets are our family. I work from home so I am able to watch pets during the day. I work from home Monday through Friday, so I am very flexible. I am able to let your pets out at any time of the day! Although a friend was able to housesit with him at night, she works full-time. Heather came to the rescue and did three check-ins each day for four days straight (walks and feedings)! She is so affectionate with him, and he just loves her. Knowing Heather was checking in on him kept me from being completely distraught! She also was so patient and understanding when I had an issue with my lockbox, and we had to temporarily pivot to another solution. Heather is a pet sitter extraordinaire!
Marley was absolutely fantastic with our 5-month-old puppy, Goose! He’s definitely a handful, but everything went incredibly smoothly. She took detailed notes on my dogs’ specific needs and quirks, which helped me to feel very confident that they would be in good hands. She took the time to send photos and notes after her visits. Mara was amazing at caring for my very senior special needs dog and our other dog who doesn't warm up to people so well (but Mara's energy won her over).
