“Valerie did a great job with my kitties. She kept me informed about what they were doing while I was away and sent tons of pictures. I miss my cats when I’m traveling but I know they were in good hands with Valarie and I loved getting pictures and videos everyday.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets since I was a kid and I love all animals as if they were my own. I have experience caring for a variety of different pets, whether sick, injured or senior. I always show gratitude and quality care towards all pets and pet lovers in appreciation to their lives and to the homes we provide for our little loved ones. I currently work part time, therefore I have plenty of time to care for your pet and their individual needs. I am typically available during the long weekends, where you will be able to take time away from your pet assured that they will be in a loving, patient and caring environment. I have a big yard and a very nice community with trails that I can take your pet on long and adventurous walks. I give pets all the love and attention they could ask for and I respect and appreciate them as well. The safety and well being of your pet is my utmost priority.
About: I’ve always had dogs in my life! I adopted my first dog, Beth, in 2015 when she was just 14 weeks old, and I trained her myself. During the pandemic, I adopted my second dog, Buz, at 8 months old who had aggression and resource guarding issues. Because of them both, I am very watchful of dog behaviors and am not afraid of big barks! I know training basics and am comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes! I am a teacher in SE DC, so during the school year, my availability is primarily evenings and weekends. During the summer, my availability is very open! I am very attentive and respectful of others homes, dogs, and instructions. Knowing that my own dogs take a minute to warm up to someone new, I will be sure to follow specific routines or guidance given! Your home will remain as it was when I enter!
“Imani was very professional. She asked me detailed questions to assure that she knew how to relate to my dog who is an old lady. She was quick to respond and carried her duties just as she said she would. I was hesitant to let someone in my home but after working with her, I will definitely use Rover again.”

“I feel like I struck gold when I found Rita— she dropped in daily for 3 weeks to take care of my three skittish cats while I had to unexpectedly spend time in the hospital. Through the Rover app she was able to communicate daily about her visits while providing pictures or video through face time. She was dependable, reliable and caring — she even brought a special cat toy from home to build rapport with these shy cats. I appreciated her going the extra mile and her assistance to me. I got to recover rather than worry about the cats — what a gift! I will always request her in future and recommend her and Rover to others.”

About: I have had dogs since I was a child. My current dog has been with my family since we rescued her from a tough situation during puppyhood and now she is a senior! We love her all the same. I have experience with grooming, feeding, and walking! My cat that I adopted 3 years ago, Zara, is my absolute world! She is very well taken care of so I have experience with playing, grooming, feeding, medication administration, and litter box care! I am currently working part time as a tutor so I will have plenty of time to support you and your pet’s needs! My availability is a lot more open currently especially since it is the summer! As a former educator, I am very detail oriented so if there are any specific needs or instructions that you have for the care of your pet, you’re coming to the perfect person to get it done! I am also incredibly cleanly and organized!
About: I have taken care of dogs for 12 years now! I am very loving, dependable and attentive. I provide a safe, nurturing and fun environment. I currently am not working right now , so I do have a lot of free time to care for pets and spend time with them!! I treat every pet like my own. The environment is very safe and there is a lot of grass areas to walk and run around!
“So nice to have a responsible, pet-loving sitter in the Pointer Ridge area. Jessica was amazing, 10 stars out of 5, truly. She was always timely, consistently sent at least two photos per visit, and went the extra mile by bringing packages inside (when we were out of town). Our day of departure didn’t go as planned and Jessica was very patient, flexible, and understanding. Again though, having someone on the P section of Bowie who could literally walk to our house for the sitting gave us that extra piece of mind. Already planning to schedule with her for the holidays.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Upper Marlboro
Uduak was wonderful! She was communicative with my husband and I, and very patient with my pup who is not comfortable with new people. Uduak followed instructions to a tee, and also used her discernment in caring for Mozzy (even cleaning up an accident he had without us requesting she do so). 10 out of 10 would recommend. We will definitely be using her services again in the future.
