About: Hi! I’m Julia 😊☀️ For as long as I can remember, I’ve been surrounded by dogs. Growing up, I had all kinds—from dachshunds and pit bulls to Australian Shepherds and lovable mutts—and I’ve fallen in love with each and every one. I’ve previously worked at a veterinary hospital as well as a pet boarding facility, gaining hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds and temperaments. I’m now a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful, animal-loving girls who may occasionally join me. I truly believe dogs are best friends and should be treated as such. You can trust that I will care for your dog as if they were my own. I’m at home every day with my two daughters so I have a wide open schedule. I took a 3 year break from rover to raise my babies and now I’m looking to get back to dog walking! I have a lot of availability and love to be outdoors- rain or shine. I live on a 6 acre farm that has some areas fenced and lots of room for my 2 dogs to run and explore. I love to let any dogs that I watch get out some energy by running and getting to sniff & explore everything in sight.
“Anissa has been absolutely amazing with everything - from professional communication to superb care for my dog Chupie. She's great with keeping me updated and sending photos, giving us peace of mind that our pup is happy and loved while we are away. Thank you so much Anissa and the rest of the family for being a second home for my Chupie! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Luisa was incredible with our pup who was staying with her for the very first time. From the consistent updates (photo AND video) to the text updates of how he was managing, she let us have a full trip with a peace of mind! Could not recommend enough!”

“Tiffany was awesome! She kept communication the whole time we were away. She even sent pictures daily. Tiffany showered my Bella with so much love and attention just as we would. I will definitely continue to pick Tiffany for Bella’s care for future needs. She’s perfect 🙂”

“Rachel and her family are fantastic! From the first time we set up a meet and greet, to the end and all the time in between, she made me feel very comfortable leaving my dog in her care. I am/was a nervous momma, but she sent pictures and commentary all throughout the stay showing me that not only was everything in control but my dog was actually very comfortable and having a nice time there. I would highly recommend her and am already rebooking her services for the future. Thank you Rachel and family! 😃”

About: I have experience with my own dog and have professional training in behavior therapy. Your dog will be loved and taken care of while you are away. I like to get to know the dog and its owner very well by taking a comprehensive approach and understanding the dog's unique needs (either physical, medical or emotional). Dog owners will be at peace knowing that I can provide excellent care of their dog. I love to exercise and have an active dog, so your dog will be in excellent hands. I work from home one day a week and my husband gets home early in the afternoons and can provide care for pets as well. I make sure dogs are safe. They are welcome to cuddle with me on the sofa or I can crate them if they want to. Dogs are welcome in all areas of my home. I have one small dog and your dog will also have a furry friend to keep it company and play with.
“Sari did an amazing job with Rusty! From the drop off I could tell she was incredibly attentive to his needs and getting him comfortable in her home. She did an excellent job keeping us updated throughout his stay. If your dog loves long walks, you MUST book Sari. She said over his 4 day stay, she walked him at least 18 miles. He came back happy and relaxed.”

“Ahhhmazing!!! Michelle will absolutely be our go to dog sitter! Oliver is still a puppy so he is high energy and still working on his potty training. This was our first time using rover and his first time away from us. Michelle took care of him above and beyond our expectations! She sent us model pictures of him daily (much better than he lets us take of him, so we have new profile pics of him, lol!) She provided daily updates with the pics too, all of which gave us complete peace of mind! We couldn’t have had a better experience and that made our vacation that much more relaxing. We are extremely thankful to Michelle for treating Oliver like her own! 😊”

“This isbout secind time leaving our pup with Kristy and this time it was for about 9 days, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely proactive with updates and sent lots of pictures, which made us feel so comfortable and reassured while we were away. She was very communicative, transparent, and friendly throughout the entire stay, and truly made us feel at ease knowing our puppy was in such good hands. Traveling felt so much less stressful because of her, and we wouldn’t go to anyone else.”

“Kate is FANTASTIC!!! My pup has separation anxiety and Kate and her family were so patient and accommodating for her. It is such a huge relief to trust that my little anxious girl will be taken care of!!”

“Branca is very attentive to Ellie and her needs. She will also check in with me to get my approval before taking on another client while Ellie is staying with her which is greatly appreciated. I received lots photos and updates throughout our trip. Ellie is warmly welcomed in her home and receives lots of love during her stays. Ellie was very excited to return for another long visit. We’ve used Branca twice now and will continue to try to book with her in the future.”

Yukia took FABULOUS care of my Rottiegirl. She was friendly, courteous, organized, clear about asking questions and observing my dog - which shows me she wants all to be safe. Very much on time, sent pics and communications! My dog was very well cared for and I SO appreciate it. Thank you Yukia, will definitely book with her again for quality care.

Tom & Aimee took great care of our dog, communicated well, and sent pictures. We felt assured that our dog was safe and happy with a sweet family while we were away. Their neighborhood was lovely and their backyard was fenced and a great place for a dog to run around. We would use them again!

Winona was excellent with our cat Meow! She shared updates every day, including lots of pictures, to keep us in the know. She was able to give the medicine Meow needs, which is not easy, and she made Meow feel at home. She even cleaned the litter box for us at the end of the week, which is far above and beyond our expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
