“Talia took great care of my cats, and the super shy one came out to see her! She even brought in a couple packages that were delivered, so they weren't sitting on the porch. I am so thankful for her help.”

“Heather has done a great job letting Whiskey in and out. I can tell by the photos that she sends that he's happy and enjoys his breaks. She's always on time and reliable.”

“Great sitter. Spent time not just feeding but playing with my cat and ensuring he had interaction while I was away. While also being incredibly flexible with my work travel changes, easily earning 5 stars”

“Kathryn was fantastic. She had drop-in visits on my two collies over the weekend. One of my dogs is older and has arthritis challenges and had an episode where she was unable to stand up. Kathryn video called me right away and spent some extra time with her to make sure she was getting back on her feet a bit. This visit was her last of the weekend, but she even messaged me on Rover later in the day to check-in on her and see if she was getting better. I really appreciated the extra attention and will definitely be booking with Kathryn again.”
“Michelle did an amazing job taking care of my two boys while I was away. She was on time for every visit, sent lots of great photos, and kept me updated on how they were doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. She even left the sweetest note for me when I returned. It’s not easy finding someone you can truly trust with your fur babies, but Michelle exceeded all my expectations. I will definitely be using her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Candice is AMAZING!!! She has a genuine love and heart for fur babies. Jace & Candice instantly connected during their 1st meet and greet 💙 She was very interested in understanding everything about Jace from his habits, the food and treats he likes most even his favorite toys! Such a comfort to know that our boy Jace would be in the care of such a loving sitter. Candice shared updates and photos while we were away and made sure that Jace was happy. Thank you sooooo much Candice, we cannot wait to have you care for Jace again. Welcome to the family 😊”
“Ashley took wonderful care of our pets during our trip! They were so relaxed and happy when we arrived back home. We will absolutely rebook as more dates come up. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, always loved taking care of them and giving them the love, attention and care they need! I have one dog, he’s a pitbull who’s been around most of my life. I’ve been dog sitting and walking for a few years now so i have plenty of experience and i’m excited for more! My schedule is pretty clear so i can be very flexible, i'm available Monday-Sunday from 11am-6pm. I can be available most holidays throughout the year. I have a fenced in yard and lots of open space for them to run around. If i’m at a clients house i will be respectful of any rules they may have.

“Allison took great care of our kitties while we were out of town. She really went the extra mile — coaxing our shy kitty out of hiding with his favorite treat and sweeping around the litter boxes. I always know my furry little guys are in great hands with Allison. 🐈⬛ 🐈”

“We had an emergency and asked Haley to stop in very last minute and late at night to make sure our pet was okay. Haley responded immediately and checked on our home to make sure our animals were safe. We are so grateful to have a sitter as caring as Haley. 🙏🏻”
“Jessica was really great with our shy, older cat! He is very low maintenance but she still spent lots of time giving him love and attention. I’m so happy we found Jessica and we plan to use her for our next trip!!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities since I was young. I grew up with dogs in my home and currently have two dogs of my own, so I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can trust with them. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I truly love all fur babies and would be so excited to care for yours! 🐾❤️ I am currently a part time student at Anne Arundel community college. I also have a part time job. My weekends are available. Weekdays I have a lot of free time during the day between classes before I head to work at 2:30-5:30 (usual hours). Safety is my top priority when caring for your pets. I will always make sure they are supervised, secure, and comfortable, whether we are out on a walk, during a drop-in visit, or staying overnight. I follow each pet’s routine and any instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and anything else that helps them feel at home.

“Michael was incredibly helpful and accommodating to my cat. We just recently lost our other cat and Michael took extra care to make sure everything went smoothly. He took lots of pictures too! I highly recommend him and I will be rebooking for future trips.”
“Nicole has been amazing with our Nyla. We had to make a quick transition when our previous sitter needed to step away. She has come in and made fast friends with this lovable Presa pup! We look forward to seeing how this blossoms. Choose Nicole and your fur baby will be in great care.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Crofton
Julia did an amazing job taking care of our dogs and cat! We were away for an extended trip, and she handled everything with exceptional care, professionalism, and warmth. Her attention to detail is remarkable—she noticed and seamlessly took care of extra things around the house and with our pets without us even having to ask. It provided so much peace of mind knowing our animals were in such thoughtful, capable hands. We are so grateful for her help and will absolutely book her again!

Talia took care of our two cats for a week. She arrived on time every morning as promised. Talia completed all the requested tasks and spent plenty of quality time with our fur babies each day. She also provided detailed updates and lots of pictures, which made us feel as though we had never left them. We truly appreciated her excellent communication and the wonderful care she gave our cats. We would gladly recommend Talia!

Rachel was amazing! This was our first experience with Rover and leaving our senior cat for a longer amount of time and Rachel made us feel comfortable from the start. She was very communicative throughout our trip, sending pictures and updates everytime she visited. She gave our cat pills, wet food, cleaned the litter box, and made her feel loved and cared for. She treated our cat as if she was her own. We are very happy with our experience with Rachel!

Heather was outstanding watching our two dogs and cat while we were away for 2 weeks. She is reliable, communicates clearly, and is very comfortable handling multiple pets. During our trip, one of our dogs had an unexpected medical issue, and Heather handled everything start to finish. She recognized something wasn’t right, notified us and with our ok took him to the vet, kept us informed the whole time, and took care of the treatment he needed to get better. Her experience working in a veterinary setting really showed, and while we felt completely comfortable trusting her to make the right decisions, she also made sure we knew what was going on every step of the way. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pets and everything in great shape. Heather is truly extraordinary and we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crofton. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
