“Jodie was a huge help for us when we went on vacation. I even had the dates wrong and she still showed up and took care of our pup. We are very appreciative to have had her.”

“Kennedy was very communicative with this being Harlem's first walk and with Rover. The communication was timely, professional and helped me to be comfortable with the process. Will definitely use Kennedy again. Thank you Kennedy!”
About: I have had a dog of every age at some point in my life and they brought me so much joy. I no longer have pets of my own but I would love the chance to care for yours. I am not currently in school so I will have plenty of time to give your pets (or pets) all the love and attention needed. I have a small fenced yard if the service will be done in my home, and will follow the pet parents routine if the service is at your home.
About: I grew up with several dogs living in CT. Over the last eight years in MD I have offered to pet sit and walk or let out neighbors dogs building clientele. A dog to me is more than a pet its a loving companion, its therapy! Nobody else gives you unconditional love like a dog everyday you come home. I'm currently working remotely, which gives me the freedom to stay at the house all day and to make sure your pet feels comfortable and well taken care of. I like to stay at the client's home to make them feel safe and comfortable in their own environment and so they can stay in their routine.
“Rachel was excellent with our senior dog (Bentley). She took on the assignment at the very last minute due to our original Walker coming down with an illness. Ulthough a last minute request, Rachel came over the night before to make sure she met Bentley and to introduce herself to us. We explained our walking and feeding processes to her, and she was very accepting to the routine. While we were on our trip, Rachel sent us numerous pictures of Bentley either at home or on his walk. She kept us well updated on his activities. Unfortunately, while we were gone, he did have some accidents in the house, and Rachel cleaned them up and took care of making sure that everything was disposed to properly and that the rags used to clean up the mess were washed. Wonderful customer service. We would not hesitate to use Rachel again, as well as recommend her to any of our friends.”

“Taryn was prompt in responding to my request to walk my dog Leo and went over and beyond what was expected of her while walking him. She changed his water after walking him (voluntarily) and left detailed reports for each day she walked him. Thank you Taryn!”

“Mike is good with large, energetic dogs. He's able to be flexible about when the walk should begin should the owner's schedule need it. He's makes sure you know when he has arrived.”

About: I have 2 years of pet sitting experience. I have cared for up to 7 pets at once, including both cats and dogs. Owners would rely on me for feeding, walking, and playing. I also gained experience administering medications to pets by mouth and through feeding. I deeply care for my own pets, so I would treat any other pet like my own. I work part time as a server, but in my free time I am available to care for pets. I have a very flexible schedule so it is easy to accommodate the needs of clients. I am always respectful of the clients home, making sure to clean up after myself and the pets. I always stay alert and pay attention to the pets needs.

About: I have watched dogs and cats for the past 2 years. I’ve always loved animals and bonding with them! I love dog walking and playing with dogs outside to make them happy. I am very good with caring for dogs and making them feel loved! I am not working another job but I do have practice most nights during the week. However, during the day I will always be around unless I am at the gym or running an errand! I have a fenced yard and 2 very friendly dogs. I take them out every 3 hours and keep a routine schedule of when to feed them. Any dog is able to sleep in my room and bed if they would like.

About: I’ve had cats and dogs throughout my life and also spent a year early in my career working as a veterinary assistant, where I gained hands-on experience caring for animals with different personalities, ages, and needs. I currently offer dog walks and drop-in visits (dogs and cats) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. During drop-ins, I’m happy to handle feeding, fresh water, litter boxes, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention while you’re away. For walks, I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine and any instructions you provide. A little about me: I live in Crofton, am a mom of three girls, and a pet mom to two boy cats of my own. I also previously worked as a government contractor, where reliability, responsibility, and attention to detail were a big part of my everyday work. I’m currently in school working on my Political Science degree. Between my professional background, veterinary experience, and years of caring for my own pets, I understand how important it is to have someone you genuinely trust caring for your animals and entering your home. I’ll treat your pets with the same care and attention I’d want someone to give my own. I’m available for drop-in visits and dog walks on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. My weekend availability allows me to give each visit the time and attention it deserves, whether your pet needs a walk, a potty break, a meal, or just some company while you’re away. I’ll always follow your pet’s normal routine and any care instructions you provide. My previous experience as a veterinary assistant taught me to pay close attention to an animal’s behavior and recognize when something seems out of the ordinary. During walks and drop-ins, I’ll prioritize your pet’s safety, keep you updated, and treat your home with the same care and respect I would want someone to show mine.
“Lauren was extremely friendly and receptive to information about our dog Beane. We appreciated her knowledge of rescue dog behavior as our guy came from an unknown situation. We loved her pictures of Beane playing and it was clear he enjoyed his time and she enjoyed hers. We loved her level of service and can’t wait to have her walk Beane again!”
About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes since I was a kid. Walking, feeding, bathing, and training have all been part of the routine for over 11 years. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me with their pets time and again, and that trust is something I take seriously. Whether your dog needs a calm and structured walk, a bath, or just good company while you’re away, I bring the same patience and attentiveness every time. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine and I have a lot of flexibility throughout the week, so I can work around most schedules. Whether you need someone on short notice, over a weekend, or during the week, I’m generally available and happy to accommodate what works best for you and your dog. Your dog will be in a safe, pet-friendly home with a fenced yard where they can run and play freely. I have pets of my own, so your dog will have friendly company and will be comfortable in an environment that’s already used to animals. I’m attentive to each dog’s individual temperament and make sure every pet in my care feels secure and at ease.
About: Hi there! I’m Kelly! I’m super energetic and passionate about animals. I have past experience working in a pet hospital, along with taking care of my own pets and family/friends pets. I currently work from home three days per week on a rotating schedule. I have the ability to walk a pup on my lunch break between 1 PM and 3 PM. I also have the ability to walk a pup in the evening time between 6 PM and 11 PM. I will currently be available for dog walking only. Unfortunately, I will not be home sitting any pups. Maybe in the future I can offer this.

About: I’ve always been around animals—I currently have a dog and three cats, so I’m used to daily care, feeding, and handling different personalities. I’ve also helped take care of my mom’s and brother’s pets over the years, so I’m comfortable stepping into someone else’s routine and making sure their animals are taken care of the right way. I’m patient, reliable, and I actually pay attention to details like feeding schedules, behavior, and making sure pets feel comfortable while you’re away. My schedule is pretty consistent, so I can plan around your pet’s needs. I’m available most days and can do mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on what’s needed. I already take care of my own pets daily, so feeding, walks, and check-ins are part of my routine. I’m flexible and good with sticking to whatever schedule your pet is used to. I treat other people’s pets the same way I treat my own. I pay attention to routines, feeding instructions, and behavior so your pet stays comfortable and stress-free. I have experience with multiple animals at once, including my own dog and cats, so I’m used to different personalities and energy levels. I keep a clean, safe environment and can follow any specific instructions you have, including crating if needed.
“Hailey did a terrrific job walking Sulley! She even went above and beyond and took Sulley for a jog and he was worn out and so well behaved for me when I returned from work!”

About: As a homeschooling mom, I’m home most of the day, so pets in my care get plenty of attention and aren’t left alone for long periods. I have a fenced yard and love spending time outdoors, giving dogs lots of fresh air and playtime. I am happy to stick to your pet’s schedule! As a photographer, I also love sending cute photo updates so you can see how much fun your pet is having while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine, so pets get plenty of attention and aren’t left alone for long. Dogs enjoy regular walks in a safe, sidewalk-filled neighborhood along with playtime and a comfortable, relaxed home environment.

Talia was amazing, as always! This was our second time booking with her, and once again everything went smoothly. She communicated well throughout the stay, kept us updated, and took great care of Luna. The entire process was easy and stress-free. We definitely plan on continuing to book with her in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter. 🐾😊

Lauren is just fantastic! She took care of our 70lb labradoodle when he stayed at my folks' place while we were out of town---she was communicative, on time, professional, and most important of all, sje clearly just loves dogs, and took great care of our pup. Hire her!

Beth is so well attentive and cares for my Nova like her own! She’s always doing little things like bringing up the trash and making sure the waters are filled before leaving, which is so appreciated, especially being gone for so long out of the day. Having her walking nova every day makes me feel a little better that she has somebody who loves and cares about her during that time!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
