“A very positive experience. My Bear received highly personalized care and a happy home to live & play in. Very communicative service and professional care! Highly recommended.”

“Angela was amazing! She was so kind, attentive, and kept our dog active and happy while we were away. She is a true animal lover! We really appreciated all the updates, photos, and videos, it gave us so much peace of mind. Highly recommend her and would absolutely book again! 🐾”

“Megan was great! We enjoyed getting photo and video updates. She made our dog feel right at home and helped our dog get more comfortable with being around other dogs.”

“Mady was wonderful! She welcomed Sydney in to her home and took her out for regular walks. She communicated regularly and showed great care and concern when Sydney happened to get a bee sting while outside. We plan on boarding her with Mady again!”

“Jasmine was fantastic with our two dogs for 10 days over Christmas! Daily walks and pictures were sent to us. I felt so at peace knowing they were being well taken care of. When our flight times coming home got changed, Jasmine was so understanding and flexible with our pickup. Great experience, highly recommended!”

“Eli is so awesome! I had to change my schedule a few times and he is always very flexible!! My Skittles loves him so much!! Eli sent me plenty of pictures, he is definitely my first pick for sitting for my baby girl Skittles!!”

“Sandra took great care of our pup! She was very easy to work with and gave lots of great updates with photos while we were away. I also love that she treated all the dogs to a little taste of Thanksgiving in their dinner bowls.”

“Barbara was absolutely what I had been searching for. I wanted someone to care for Bentley as if he was their own. I needed to have a person that understands pups that are somewhat privileged (spoiled). Bentley was cared for and loved on and was never exposed to danger. Barbara cared for Bentkey so well that he became possessive when her when her pup Justice wanted her attention. Barbara is an A1 sitter and I would use her again.”

“Crystal was wonderful looking after our two small dogs! She gave them lots of attention and took great care administering medications for our elder one. Her frequent updates and communication were great! We received photos and videos of their day. Our “kids” are exhausted, in a good way. I’m pretty sure they’d have been happy to stay. We’re thankful for all of Crystal’s care and love! Knowing they’re in good hands makes our time away a little easier.”

“Marta was amazing!!! I am a firefighter with a crazy schedule but that didn’t phase her one bit. She accommodated my schedule, and loved my puppy like it was her own. I got pictures throughout the day and updates about how she was doing. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Definitely recommend.”

“Alicia was a lovely sitter to care for my Cinnamon. Cinni was at home after the first meet and greet. Alicia was communicative and sent plenty of pictures. Cinni also made a new friend with her dog Tamarind as well. We look forward to using her services in the future.”

“Kiki is the best! She is flexible, responsive, and gave me complete peace of mind. Finley clearly had a great time with her and Skittles, and I really appreciated the regular updates- it made me feel like he was safe, happy, and well cared for the whole time. Highly recommend!”

“Carlie was amazing with our puppy Sadie. It was our first time leaving her with anyone and it went so well. Lots of love to our sweet puppy and she was happy all day. Carly shared lots of pics as well. Highly recommend!”

“Dana was great with my older dog Luna who can sometimes be "fussy" when she stays away from home and go on hunger strikes. Luna wasn't even mad at me when I got back after the weekend (and as part Husky, I often get an earful). Dana was communicative and responsive about everything and was able to take Luna last minute in a pinch for me. Overall wonderful experience!”

“Branca is very attentive to Ellie and her needs. She will also check in with me to get my approval before taking on another client while Ellie is staying with her which is greatly appreciated. I received lots photos and updates throughout our trip. Ellie is warmly welcomed in her home and receives lots of love during her stays. Ellie was very excited to return for another long visit. We’ve used Branca twice now and will continue to try to book with her in the future.”

“Kelly & Maurice took great care or our fur baby. He’s a bit skittish with strangers but he warmed up quickly and seemed to enjoy his time with them.”

“Ashley was amazing with Bingo and provided constant updates. She was very patient with him as it took him some time to get comfortable. Had some personal emergencies, so we had to extend Bingo’s stay, and she was very accommodating.”

“I love Maria she was so attentive to our lil peanut and you can tell she loves animals. When we picked him up she was so concerned about the tears in his eyes that she kept trying to clean it. I will definately be using her again and loved that she cared for our lil family member like he was her own.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Crofton
Barbara was very easy to work with and took great care of my fur baby while I was away. I especially liked that she welcomed us in her home. She was not afraid to show her home and where my dog would be, and eased any worry I may have had. We will definitely use her again.

Yukia took FABULOUS care of my Rottiegirl. She was friendly, courteous, organized, clear about asking questions and observing my dog - which shows me she wants all to be safe. Very much on time, sent pics and communications! My dog was very well cared for and I SO appreciate it. Thank you Yukia, will definitely book with her again for quality care.

Tom & Aimee took great care of our dog, communicated well, and sent pictures. We felt assured that our dog was safe and happy with a sweet family while we were away. Their neighborhood was lovely and their backyard was fenced and a great place for a dog to run around. We would use them again!

It is our first time to board our Cooper with her for a weekend —- we were really thankful we met her here in Rover. We had a meet up before his boarding and she asked all about our dog’s routine and tried to understand how she can handle him. She gives updates and pictures so often while we were away, which really appreciate! Note our dog is super active, playful, can be a lot to handle and still being trained ——our dog is still a pup (1 year and 8 months!) —- she was able to handle him really well. I see his pictures all smiling, and i couldnt be happier we found Winona. I will recommend her highly! She is fantastic! Thanks again for taking care of our Cooper! ❤️❤️

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
