Availability
I commute in to the office some days and work from home some days. Whether we are spending time in the backyard, off to school and work, or running errands, every day includes time dedicated to each pet in my care. I'm sure to build in walks (or backyard free time) at least three times each day. I feed them when and how they are fed at home, even if this requires some special food prep. Any dog that stays with us is welcome to visit and cuddle with us while we are relaxing, or keep to themselves if that's what suits them.

Safety, trust & environment
When your pet stays with me, we accommodate their personalities and quirks. I have two children, both of which are familiar with all types of animals. We've been dog sitting for five years now, there are not many dog breeds we have not met! When at my home, dogs have the ability to roam the home and find their own favorite spot. I only host one pet at my home at a time unless those pets come from the same household and get along. We adopted a dog of our own in late 2025. Bria, the dog, is friendly and well behaved. I will introduce your dog and Bria only with your permission. Introductions take place after 1-2 days of an initial stay and based on my assessment of their compatibility. Guest dogs are always separated from my dog while they are home alone. Bria is crated while guest dogs are behind a gate, on a separate floor.

Information Dana P. would like to know about your pet
I always want to know about the dog's basic routine, what and when they eat, how and when the usually go out for potty breaks, and how they prefer to interact with people.
A typical day
I have a small, fenced backyard for potty breaks, fetch, or running around. My neighborhood has lots of sidewalks and paths for short or long walks.

Pet care experience
Lifelong animal caregiver with extensive experience. I find joy in getting to know each new fur baby in my care. Dogs that stay in my home are temporarily part of our family! I only take dogs that are good with children and never take dogs from more than one household at the same time.

Reviews

Dana is great! My cat, Mooncake, was diagnosed with IBD right before the holidays and Dana gave him his medicine and followed special feeding instructions to help keep his symptoms under control while I visited family for Christmas. Mooncake can sometimes be skittish around new people, but he seemed very comfortable around her immediately and I knew he was in good hands.
Dana and her family took good care of Holly and were very communicative with us throughout the stay. We would recommend them for your pet as well.

Dana was great with my senior dog and gracious to watch her over Thanksgiving. I appreciate she only watches one dog at a time. Will use again!

Dana is absolutely wonderful! We appreciated her caring, calm and gentle approach to our special needs dog.
