About: I truly can’t imagine life without paws! Caring for dogs and cats has been a lifelong passion. I take a calm, thoughtful, one-on-one approach to pet care, paying close attention to each pet’s individual routine, personality and comfort level so they feel secure, respected, and genuinely cared for while away from home. I’ve cared for pets of all ages and personalities and believe quality care goes beyond basic supervision. Much of my approach comes from my own experience as a pet parent. I spent 15 wonderful years with my dog, Fawn, and 18 years with my cat, Pepper. They taught me the importance of understanding and caring for each pet as an individual. Current Availability: Dog Boarding — Available weekdays for dogs comfortable with a typical in office workday routine (up to 3 weekdays/week), plus weekends & holidays. Cat boarding — 7 days a week Additional Services Walks, Day Care & Drop-In Visits: Fridays–Sundays & Holidays Do you work overnight or nontraditional shifts? My schedule may be a great fit for pets who need care during those hours. Let's connect if my availability fits your needs — I’d be happy to provide reliable, personalized, one-on-one care for your pet. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priority. • Low-volume scheduling for individualized attention • Routine-based care that respects your pet’s comfort level • Supervised, calm, and structured environment • Clean and sanitized home, with thorough cleaning between stays • Consistent updates for your peace of mind • Safe, stress-free care in my home, yours, or on neighborhood walks
“Michelle did an amazing job taking care of my two boys while I was away. She was on time for every visit, sent lots of great photos, and kept me updated on how they were doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. She even left the sweetest note for me when I returned. It’s not easy finding someone you can truly trust with your fur babies, but Michelle exceeded all my expectations. I will definitely be using her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Allison was great! She visited our two cats daily and was fantastic about administering medication to one cat. I really appreciated the daily updates, especially during the holidays. She also took great care towards their litter boxes. Am extremely happy and so are the cats.”

“Fennel was truly amazing with our puppy, Cooper! They were so attentive and communicative. As new dog parents who work full time, we wanted to ensure someone was there to care for Cooper while we were out of the house. Fennel did that and then some! Above and beyond! Many many thanks to the best dog sitter we could have asked for! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! We will be booking with Fennel again any time we need assistance!”

“Rebecca is terrific! She was so accommodating and took great care with our senior dog. She was prompt and was able to fit us into her weekend schedule. Thanks, Rebecca! We will be back! :)”

“Our cats love Sabine and she always sends lots of pictures! She’s totally on it with asking questions and checking in, and responds quickly to messages! Also takes care of giving our cat an inhaler, and does a great job!”

About: I have extensive experience caring for a variety of pets, including cats, dogs, and rodents. I have personally owned and cared for pets throughout their lives, including providing dedicated care for my dog until he reached 17 years of age. This experience has given me a strong understanding of the patience, responsibility, and compassion required to provide animals with a safe, healthy, and loving environment. I am currently part time, I will be available to fit any bookings you need for your dogs or cats any day of the week! Unfortunately, I cannot care for your pets at my home at this time. I will make sure all of your pets needs are taken care of.
“Rachel was amazing! She took excellent care of my dog while I was out of town, allowing me to enjoy my time away without any worries. She was very responsive and sent lots of pictures. I highly recommend her as a sitter!”

About: I have been house/pet sitting since I worked at a veterinary hospital while in college. I am a nurse at school during the day with great availability! Summers, holidays, weekends and evenings. Again I am a nurse at school during the day so my best hours are afternoons, evenings, summer, weekends and holidays. I am also available to sit at my home. I have a secure fenced yard within a great neighborhood if your dog/dogs come to me. I am comfortable and confident with all shapes and sizes and breeds of pets.
“Talia took great care of my cats, and the super shy one came out to see her! She even brought in a couple packages that were delivered, so they weren't sitting on the porch. I am so thankful for her help.”

“Melissa was fantastic, going above and beyond to make sure my two boys were taken care of. I will definitely try to book her again next time I need the cats taken care of. Thank you so much!”

“Miranda was AMAZING. So reliable and extremely flexible! She was so good with our 3 month old puppy. She even went above and beyond by helping us with puppy training and teaching him fun tricks. We would absolutely recommend Miranda!!!!”
“Beth took care of our 2 cats & home and she was simply awesome! She communicated with us throughout the process and always let us know what is happening. Beth sent us plenty of pictures and as-it-happened updates during her visits and never gave us any reasons to worry. We highly recommend Beth and would gladly work with her again. Five+ stars for this one!”

“Jessica was great even though Chuck was a bit timid and unhappy that I was not home … she did a great job giving him his pills and making sure he was ok … highly recommend !! Thanks so much”

“Benjamin was very conscientious & dedicated to his task of finding & befriending my scaredy-kitty! He also kindly filled our birdbath & watered our flowers to keep our other denizens (feathered and pollinator) content during our absence. Benjamin caught a glimpse of wRen in flight, however, I’m hoping he’ll return to give both of them additional time to get acquainted.”
“Ashley and Olivia have been great with our 2 pups, a lab and husky. I know they are in caring and capable hands with them! They are always so responsive and flexible. Thank you so much!!”

“10/10, I would absolutely book with her again! She made the entire experience seamless from start to finish. Communication was excellent, everything went smoothly, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pets were in great hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend her to others.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Gambrills
Talia took care of our two cats for a week. She arrived on time every morning as promised. Talia completed all the requested tasks and spent plenty of quality time with our fur babies each day. She also provided detailed updates and lots of pictures, which made us feel as though we had never left them. We truly appreciated her excellent communication and the wonderful care she gave our cats. We would gladly recommend Talia!

The girls keep telling us how wonderfully you treated them and they look so happy. It’s obvious they really enjoyed spending time with you and it already seems like they miss you. We also noticed that you filled up the hummingbird feeder. Thank you so much for thinking of that. The flowers look happy too.! We truly appreciate all the care and kindness you showed to both the girls and our home. It means a lot to us. I hope you know how much we appreciate everything you did. Thanks and hugs Mark and Patti

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gambrills. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
