“James is the most awesome person! We were really apprehensive about hiring outside care for our Maxx because of prior negative experiences. I shared this with James at our first meeting. He was very empathetic and I could see how Maxx really took to him. His first week of drop-in visits with Maxx went very well. Let me say that we are so grateful to have James! He is very thorough and so loving to Maxx! He carried out all of our instructions precisely, and went the extra mile. James did drop-in visits for week while my family was on vacation and I felt very confident leaving Maxx in James's care. You can rest assured that your pet is in very caring and capable hands with James! I really can't thank him enough. Also, knowing that Maxx was able to stay at home where he is most comfortable took such a weight off of our shouders. I sincerely appreciated all of the daily updates and photos which reassured us that Maxx was in great hands. James is really awesome!”

“Words can hardly express how incredibly grateful our family is for Stephanie! She truly went above and beyond at every turn, capturing beautiful moments of our beloved fur baby and keeping us updated daily. Her thoughtful notes were such a sweet touch, and Bella absolutely adored her! We couldn't ask for a better experience, and we’re excited to continue working with her. If you’re even considering booking her services, don’t wait—trust us, you’ll be so glad you did!”

“Alaina is a fantastic cat sitter! She is a really positive person and didn't give up on my grumpy kitty, taking the time to get him used to her and eventually get him out of his shell a bit-- amazing! While I was gone, she was great about communication and pictures. She also kept my outdoor plants watered and happy during this summer heatwave. I would book with her again anytime.”

“Our cats were on vacation with Aimee while we were out of town! Aimee has a great space for pet sitting and provides so much love and care! We could not be happier with our experience and look forward to booking with Aimee again!”

“Although I ended up having to cancel my trip so Ashley/Olivia didn’t end up doing the drop in visits, Olivia was great at the drop-in visit I scheduled before our trip! My chinchillas took to her immediately. Gus, our fiestiest boy, happily accepted cheek scritches from her and another one of my chins even let her pick him up :) That says a lot about how she interacts with animals because as prey animals, trust doesn’t come easily to chinchillas. She also asked a lot of important questions about their care which I appreciated. She was super responsive and flexible about when I came to pick up my key from her. I would feel at ease with her taking care of my pets the next time I need care for them!”
“Lanese was extremely sweet and patient with our very shy elderly kitty. We got great daily updates with a photo. Although our kitty is shy and often difficult to locate, Lanese was sure to make a connection and help her feel loved while pet sitting. I would definitely recommend this compassionate pet sitter!”

“Sara was an amazing sitter! She looked after my bunny Oliver while we were out of state. She always provided great updates and photos and even topped off his food before it ever ran out. I plan to continue booking with Sara in the future!(:”

About: I have grown up with Pitbulls and Frenchies my whole life so I am confident that I can take great care of your beloved pet! I work from home and will be with your lovely dog all day (unless I need to go out to run an errand) so no need for you to be worried that they’ll be alone! I prefer to crate any dogs that are not mine while I am away from the home just to make sure everyone has their own space. If Dog is not crate trained, then I will place them in a room if I need to leave the house.

I even consider my babies to be my best friends lol, but in my house we’re very good with our feeding times and keeping our dogs on a routine, making sure that our dogs are able to get enough outside time and that they have a good amount of enrichment through toys and playtime.

About: I am new to pet sitting on this platform, but not new to caretaking for pets. I specialize in senior pet care, especially cats with CKD. I am very experienced in giving medications orally or injection, administering subq fluids and lots of extra cuddles are very important! My husband and I enjoy traveling, but found it very hard to find a pet sitter that was well versed in caring for senior cats, especially cats with kidney disease. I will care for your babies as I would my own. They depend on us for safety and I do not take that lightly. I will treat them with respect and kindness because thats how I would want my babies to be treated while I’m away. Our pets are nervous enough while we’re away, so whatever I can do to make their lives a little less stressful, I will certainly do!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities since I was young. I grew up with dogs in my home and currently have two dogs of my own, so I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to find someone you can trust with them. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I truly love all fur babies and would be so excited to care for yours! 🐾❤️ I am currently a part time student at Anne Arundel community college. I also have a part time job. My weekends are available. Weekdays I have a lot of free time during the day between classes before I head to work at 2:30-5:30 (usual hours). Safety is my top priority when caring for your pets. I will always make sure they are supervised, secure, and comfortable, whether we are out on a walk, during a drop-in visit, or staying overnight. I follow each pet’s routine and any instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, and anything else that helps them feel at home.

Maria was phenomenal! She provided care for my 4 cats for a week while I was on vacation, and I couldn't be happier! 2 of the 4 cats are very skittish and usually aren't seen by the sitter in the past. Not only did he see them on several occasions, but she also sent me pics! The other 2 cats seemed to enjoy her company as well from the pics she sent. She even got to give my grumpy, older cat chin scratches!

Chelsea is so sweet and sent pictures for every check in. My 2 cats were often hiding but she stayed for a bit and always sent good updates! I am always nervous about leaving them when we travel but Chelsea made me feel so much better about it. Will definitely rebook when we travel again.

Rowan was absolutely everything we were looking for and she definitely delivered!! We needed her to check in on our cat 2 days while we were away. She fed him, played with him using multiple methods and toys, gave him a ton of attention and mental stimulation and made sure to send us the cutest pictures ever! We highly recommend booking with her. You can depend on Rowan for high quality care!

We have used Elizabeth to care for our two cats and fish for multiple trips and will continue to request her services in the future. We are never worried while away as Elizabeth is great at communicating issues/questions and is careful with our pets care. Anyone browsing looking for a trusted pet sitter I recommend that you can count on Elizabeth! Thanks again!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sabrina. As soon as we met, I knew she would be a wonderful cat sitter. She took care of my babies like they were her own, and they warmed up to her right away. She is extremely professional, but very sweet and personable also. I recommend her highly and of course I will have her watch my cats whenever I have to go out of town. The peace of mind I feel with her is awesome. Thank you, Sabrina.

BreeAnna took exceptional care of our cat and truly went above and beyond. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We received regular, thoughtful updates that gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Our cat was happy, comfortable, and well cared for, which made it so easy to relax knowing she was in such good hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to trust BreeAnna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
