About: I love snuggles, walks, and spending quality time with all pups! I’ve cared for many friends’ and family members’ dogs over the years, and I’m the kind of person who’s always stopping to say hi to as many dogs as possible everywhere I go. I’m dependable, communicative, and attentive. Whether your pup loves playtime and adventures or prefers naps and quiet company, I adapt to what makes them feel happiest and most comfortable. Expect lots of love, attention, photo updates, and peace of mind while your pet is in my care! Starting August 17 I’ll be unavailable from 7AM-4PM during the week due to my full time job. I have off during the summer until Aug 16 so my schedule is pretty open! Beginning Aug 17, I can be available all day if needed on Sat/Sun and before and after work during the week. I honor your pet’s normal routine and give them lots of attention, affection, and companionship while you’re away. I follow feeding schedules, walk routines, medication instructions, and any other care preferences you have. I also make sure pets get plenty of exercise, playtime, potty breaks, and cuddles based on their personality and energy level. I know being away from their owners can sometimes be stressful for pets, so I create a calm, loving environment where they feel safe and cared for. I’m very respectful of clients’ homes and always keep things clean, organized, and secure. I also send regular photo and message updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and doing well!
“Miranda did a wonderful job with our boys and kept us posted the whole time with photos and check-ins. The boys probably would have even preferred us to extend our vacation since she spoiled them with so much playtime :)”

About: With over ten years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds, I have developed a deep understanding of their unique needs and personalities. From playful puppies to senior cats, I provide attentive, compassionate care to ensure every pet feels comfortable, safe, and well-loved. My commitment is to treat each animal with the same respect and dedication I would give my own. I’m currently working part tome while also attending school but can provide frequent check ins for your pets while also provide house sitting on weekends if needed. I provide dependable in-home pet care, ensuring your pet feels safe and comfortable in their own familiar environment. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, administering medications, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away.
“It’s hard for me to trust people with my dog as he has a long list of requirements as an elderly Great Dane and James is absolutely phenomenal with him. He goes above and beyond to take care of Max like I do which is a high bar-I would recommend him to anyone in need of a sitter for any kind of situation. He’s a true professional which is hard to find in this business!”

“Rowan was absolutely everything we were looking for and she definitely delivered!! We needed her to check in on our cat 2 days while we were away. She fed him, played with him using multiple methods and toys, gave him a ton of attention and mental stimulation and made sure to send us the cutest pictures ever! We highly recommend booking with her. You can depend on Rowan for high quality care!”

“Sabrina and Ryan are amazing! They took such good care of our senior goldens. This was the first vacation we have gone on where we didn’t have to worry about our dogs. Sabrina and Ryan were spot on for communication and transparency. Our dogs always looked well taken care of and happy. Every visit was completed on time. Will book again and again!”

“Melissa was such a delight to work with. I needed someone who could check up on my cat Mimi while I was away and she heeded the call. She was very professional and flexible. But make no mistake, she really does care for the animals that she is responsible for. Mimi likes her too which is equally important. I will definitely use her again when I'm out of town!”
“Alex and Andrea did a great job with our cat during our recent trip. Our cat is a bit complicated, and requires several medications. They handled everything just fine and we could relax knowing our cat was in safe hands!”

“Rebecca is a great pet sitter, attentive to our senior kitty’s special needs. Great communicator. We are looking forward to working with her many times in the future!”

“This was our first time hiring Noor to care for our three dogs, and we had complete peace of mind knowing they were in her hands. From our very first meet-and-greet, it was clear that she was incredibly experienced, which immediately put us at ease. Our fur babies are our children, so finding someone we can truly trust means everything. We have a senior dog with special needs and two energetic female dogs, and Noor was absolutely amazing with all of them. She gave each of them so much love and attention, made sure they were well-fed, and took excellent care of all of their individual needs. We’ve struggled to find a trustworthy dog sitter, but I’m so happy to say we’ve finally found one in Noor. We are beyond grateful for the care and compassion she showed our pups. Thank you so much for everything, Noor—we can’t wait to have you watch them again!”

“Chelsea is so sweet and sent pictures for every check in. My 2 cats were often hiding but she stayed for a bit and always sent good updates! I am always nervous about leaving them when we travel but Chelsea made me feel so much better about it. Will definitely rebook when we travel again.”

“Jaclyn is great with our dog Gunner! She takes the time to make sure he gets plenty of attention and care while we are not at home. She is great at giving us updates and photos to ensure he is well taken care of. We have used her services a few times and will continue to in the future!”

About: I have been helping with a variety of family pets since I was about 10 years old. I’m used to caring for dogs, cats, and small mammals but also have a limited experience with turtles, birds, and geckos. My available represents my general schedule, but I can be flexible with notice. Let’s chat about your needs! I work mostly from home and have flexibility to check on your furry friends often! I usually work cuddled up next to my own kitty but would love to spend time with yours! While I can’t board pets at my own home, I can assure you that I will take great care of your furry friends in your home and keep things in order.
“Ryan did an excellent job taking care of my cat Casey. I was very happy to receive pictures of Casey where Ryan was interacting with him. This meant that Casey liked him and felt safe around him, which is very important to me. I hope to book Ryan again for Casey's care.”
“Last month I found out that my previous dog walker moved out of town, I ran across Emma's profile and noticed she had many good reviews. We met for a meet and greet and my husband and I both felt comfortable having her care for our dog. We scheduled a weekend trip and we had no issues. I booked her again for a week long of drop in visits and she went above and beyond to make sure our dog was well taken care of. I would definetely recommend Emma to care for your pups. Thanks again for everything <3”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for pets in different life stages. I have been the primary caregiver for my own dog since he was 45 days old, and he is now 5 years old. This has given me experience with puppy care, daily routines, training support, and long-term health and behavior needs. Before that, I lived with my family and helped care for multiple animals in the household, including 2 dogs and 7 cats. I was involved in feeding, cleaning, supervising, and making sure all pets were safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I truly enjoy being around animals and always treat them with patience, love, and responsibility. I understand how important trust and consistency are when caring for someone’s pet, and I always aim to provide a calm and safe environment. 🐾✨ I have a flexible schedule and can adjust my availability throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. I am able to dedicate focused time for pet care, including walks, feeding, playtime, and supervision. I make sure to plan my day around the pets’ needs and routines, ensuring consistency, attention, and reliability. 🏡 Safety, trust & environment I always prioritize safety, comfort, and trust when caring for pets. I carefully follow each pet’s routine and any instructions provided by the owner. I create a calm, patient, and respectful environment where pets feel secure and stress-free. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs, and I always ensure they are supervised, hydrated, and comfortable at all times. 🐾💛
About: Hello, my name is Lindsay! My neighbors have trusted me to watch their dogs for years when they’ve gone away. I’ve trained both of my dogs to listen when called and to do many tricks. My goal is to keep pets happy and safe, and maintain any routines they might have. I am a college student that is also working part time. I have classes in the early afternoon Monday-Thursday, and work as a life guard Friday and Sunday mornings, but am otherwise able to care for your pets any time of the week. I care for pets in their own homes. Being in a space they are comfortable in allows pets to feel more at ease and safe versus being in a new place with a new face.
“Lanese was extremely sweet and patient with our very shy elderly kitty. We got great daily updates with a photo. Although our kitty is shy and often difficult to locate, Lanese was sure to make a connection and help her feel loved while pet sitting. I would definitely recommend this compassionate pet sitter!”

Chelsea is so sweet and sent pictures for every check in. My 2 cats were often hiding but she stayed for a bit and always sent good updates! I am always nervous about leaving them when we travel but Chelsea made me feel so much better about it. Will definitely rebook when we travel again.

Amy was very responsive, communicative, and helpful. I came back to clean litter boxes, nearly organized mail, and cats with fresh water. My cats were uncooperative, but that's due to their comfort level with strangers. All, in all, she was great and would use her services again.

Aimee is absolutely the BEST!!! I cannot emphasize that enough! Every visit she left a thorough message about her visit, plenty of pics with my babies, and went above and beyond to find my apparently shy girl when she didn’t see her for a couple days! My food bowls were always full, the water too, and the litter boxes always cleaned. She took her time to let my babies warm up to her and get to know her smells and it’s so unfortunate that we will be moving soon and can’t take her with us haha. Thank you Aimee!!!

Rowan was absolutely everything we were looking for and she definitely delivered!! We needed her to check in on our cat 2 days while we were away. She fed him, played with him using multiple methods and toys, gave him a ton of attention and mental stimulation and made sure to send us the cutest pictures ever! We highly recommend booking with her. You can depend on Rowan for high quality care!

Absolutely wonderful sitter! I am always highly anxious about leaving my cats behind when I travel, but James’s very thorough report cards and photos made me significantly less anxious about them. The cats loved him and I returned home to 2 happy kitties ☺️

We have used Elizabeth to care for our two cats and fish for multiple trips and will continue to request her services in the future. We are never worried while away as Elizabeth is great at communicating issues/questions and is careful with our pets care. Anyone browsing looking for a trusted pet sitter I recommend that you can count on Elizabeth! Thanks again!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sabrina. As soon as we met, I knew she would be a wonderful cat sitter. She took care of my babies like they were her own, and they warmed up to her right away. She is extremely professional, but very sweet and personable also. I recommend her highly and of course I will have her watch my cats whenever I have to go out of town. The peace of mind I feel with her is awesome. Thank you, Sabrina.

BreeAnna took exceptional care of our cat and truly went above and beyond. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly has a genuine love for animals. We received regular, thoughtful updates that gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Our cat was happy, comfortable, and well cared for, which made it so easy to relax knowing she was in such good hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to trust BreeAnna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in The Highlands. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
