About: 🐕 About Me Hi! I’m a dedicated pet caregiver with over 10 years of experience in military contract service, now balancing life as a law student and dog lover here in Maryland. I specialize in structured, loving care for busy families who want more than just a quick walk or check-in. Think of me as your pet’s second home—where routines are respected, details are never missed, and your dog is treated with patience, affection, and intention. As a mom-minded caregiver, I naturally tune into behavior, energy, and comfort. Whether your pup is playful and high-energy or needs a calmer, more reassuring presence, I adjust to them. Pet care is my morning noon and night , if not my big guys , then most definitely someone’s needs a walk or rub. This is my passion, your buddies have my undivided attention I have two fenced areas available for running and play, as well as our location provides to dog parks within close range. A Normal day we attend the dog park twice, morning and night, followed by a mid-day walk and lots of lazy couch snuggles. Our home is a place to come sit stay and play for a while🐾♥️ 🧐should you stay a while? We do have two kennels for sleep if your buddies are down with sharing . Couch is first come first served, all paws welcome..

About: Hey there! My name is Rowan, and I’ve been caring for pets my entire life. I grew up in a big, animal–loving household – currently, I live with seven cats and a very loving husky! I’m home for the summer from Salisbury University, and I’m looking forward to providing services like dog walking, drop-in visits, and potential overnight stays. Having handled a wide variety of breeds and sizes, I’m confident adapting to whatever unique schedule, routine, or medical needs your pet has. I pride myself on my punctuality, communication, and time management. My summer schedule is highly open and flexible and I’m eager to meet your furry friends! Please feel free to reach out and lets chat! I’m currently hosting at a restaurant part time Wednesday’s and Thursday mornings but am available pretty much any time for drop-ins or walks! I have a large, fenced in yard with plenty of grass and open space. My dog likes to free roam the yard but the cats I live with stay indoors.

About: With over 20 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and small animals, I provide more than just pet sitting — I offer a second home for your furry loved ones. From daily walks and feedings to cuddles and playtime, every pet is showered with so much love and attention. Whether it’s senior pets needing gentle care or energetic pups who love adventure, I tailor each visit to meet their unique needs. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. I always communicate clearly so you feel at ease while you’re away. Because pets aren’t just animals — they’re family. 🐾 I stay busy driving for Uber and caring for dogs full-time. I have a super flexible schedule so if you need me to take care of your dog on a short notice if I’m not already booked, I’m happy to help! I’m devoted to giving your furry loved one plenty of attention, affection, and all the snuggles they deserve! 🐾 I live in a very safe and dog friendly environment. I do not have a fenced yard, however, my community is very dog friendly that has a park right behind my house and walk friendly paths to take your fur baby on. I also care for cats as I grew up with both dogs and cats and have experience taking care of little kittens and pups to seniors. If you’d like me to check in on your fur baby at the comfort of your home, please feel free to reach out so I can coordinate a time where I can come and give your fur baby some loving care 💕

About: Since I was a kid I've been the person neighbors, friends, and family have relied on to watch their fur babies of all shapes and sizes. From maintaing clean litter boxes to taking long walks around the neighborhood, spending time with fur babies of all ages is my passion. While the parents are not home, it is all snuggles and play time. I devote my full attention to keeping our furry friends entertained and happy until their parents return. **Please Understand That if I am Contacted Before 8AM or After 10PM, I will not be able to respond in a timely manner as I too enjoy sleep** I am currently going back to school online, so I'll be able to spend plenty of time hanging with the pups and kittkes just goofing around and snuggling. I do have a 9 month old that will be strapped to me on walks and while visiting your home. He is not going to be down and interacting with the pets. In my client's home, I will be respectful of their property. I can ensure the pets are fed and provided fresh water. I will clean after the animals if there is an accident, and will help maintain tidy litterboxes. If the owner has a fenced in yard that they prefer for the dog to potty in, I will still go behind and bag the fresh poop.

About: I’ve always been drawn to animals and getting to be around them is such a blessing. I’ve been around all sorts of animals growing up having: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and even sharks at one point! I’ve always taken pride in caring for these pets and making sure they’re enjoying life and being taken care of properly. I just recently graduated from college and have a lot of free time. I am available all day, every day, and would love to spend my time with your furry friends! I am able to attend to any needs that the animals provider may ask and will happily and joyfully take care of your fur babies!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your The Highlands. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
