About: Hi! 💖 I’m Amanda, a recent University of Maryland graduate and animal lover. I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, and fish throughout my life and love learning about their fun personalities and behavior. I trained my Labrador retriever as a puppy and have experience caring for dogs of all personalities, including senior dogs with hearing and sight issues, anxious dogs, and animal reactive dogs. I’m a very active person so I’d be more than happy to take your dog out multiple times a day. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved while giving you complete peace of mind. Currently I have open availability as I study for nursing school so I’m taking care of dogs all day/everyday! I’m happy to find a time that works for your schedule. I treat every pet with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I am very agile, organized, and attentive to the behavior of every dog I walk.

About: 🐕 About Me Hi! I’m a dedicated pet caregiver with over 10 years of experience in military contract service, now balancing life as a law student and dog lover here in Maryland. I specialize in structured, loving care for busy families who want more than just a quick walk or check-in. Think of me as your pet’s second home—where routines are respected, details are never missed, and your dog is treated with patience, affection, and intention. As a mom-minded caregiver, I naturally tune into behavior, energy, and comfort. Whether your pup is playful and high-energy or needs a calmer, more reassuring presence, I adjust to them. Pet care is my morning noon and night , if not my big guys , then most definitely someone’s needs a walk or rub. This is my passion, your buddies have my undivided attention I have two fenced areas available for running and play, as well as our location provides to dog parks within close range. A Normal day we attend the dog park twice, morning and night, followed by a mid-day walk and lots of lazy couch snuggles. Our home is a place to come sit stay and play for a while🐾♥️ 🧐should you stay a while? We do have two kennels for sleep if your buddies are down with sharing . Couch is first come first served, all paws welcome..
“Always on-time, great communication, flexible, and my dog’s new favorite playmate, Rebecca is professional and comes highly recommended by me…I don’t just trust my puppy-friend-son with anyone.”

About: I’ve always been drawn to animals and getting to be around them is such a blessing. I’ve been around all sorts of animals growing up having: dogs, cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, and even sharks at one point! I’ve always taken pride in caring for these pets and making sure they’re enjoying life and being taken care of properly. I just recently graduated from college and have a lot of free time. I am available all day, every day, and would love to spend my time with your furry friends! I am able to attend to any needs that the animals provider may ask and will happily and joyfully take care of your fur babies!
“Fennel is an outstanding sitter! They always keep me informed about the status of my pet and provide feedback and photos even when it is just for a short walk. They were also extremely helpful and reliable when I booked them for an all day stay. Highly recommend!”

“Emma has been on time with my big guys (Rocko, Atticus, and Axel). We sat down for a “meet and greet” ahead of starting the walks to make sure it was a good fit, and so far it has been great. She will be watching them while I go away; I’m sure they’ll be looking forward to her visit.”

About: Caring for animals has always been part of my life (horses, goats, chickens and my beloved GSDs). I volunteered at a humane society and interned there as a dog trainer as part of my formal behavioral dog training program. My training philosophy focuses on positive and constructive relationships between dogs and their carers. I strive to create a “fear-free” environment focused on the needs of the dog and the expectations of the owner(s). In caring for my own dogs, I do all my own bathing and grooming and provide massage for rehabilitation, health benefits, and to comfort and calm them. My formal dog training education includes a Pet CPR and First Aid certificate as well as a Pet Massage certificate in addition to my certification as an Obedience Dog Trainer. Massage proved to be of particular benefit to my senior dog who suffered with osteoarthritis. Training and care of senior dogs is often overlooked and I aim to positively impact this area as well as providing the highest standard of care for dogs of all ages. I am currently completing a course on dogs with aggressive behaviors as part of my continuing education in dog care and wellbeing. My at-home hours enable me to provide lots of stimulating mental and physical activities in caring for your pups and older dogs. This schedule allows me to provide careful monitoring and supervision of your pet. Dogs will be crated at night for safety and for no more than two to three hours during the day for adult dogs (less for puppies). I have a small training room with dog play and fitness equipment indoors and have a large fenced-in area for outdoor play, exercise, and training. Any activity will be agreed based on client needs and all activities will be constantly monitored and supervised. This is also an extremely dog-friendly area for loose-leash walking. You and your wishes will be respected and your dog’s needs will come first. Additional services may be requested.

“Shane & Brittany did a great job with walking and caring for my dog while I was away on a work trip. My dog requires extra attention (and understanding) which was handled well and made me feel at ease being away from her. I would recommend them to care for anyone’s dog. The daily reports and photos were also appreciated.”

Highly recommend! Super responsible and reliable dog walker. They always provide detailed updates with lots of pictures, which really gives me peace of mind while I’m away. They followed all of my instructions carefully and were very attentive to my dogs’ needs and routines. You can tell they genuinely care about the pets they work with. Thank you so much for the wonderful care!

Sam has been so sweet and loving with our boy Charlie from the moment they met. He’s been super protective of the pack since we got a new family member but she was able to convince him to leave the house and walk farther than any other dog walkers have. Highly recommend Sam!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
