“Susan was a BLESSING for me and my dog when we needed a last minute check-in. She was so incredibly thorough and took great care to make sure she fit our routine and connected with Birdy. I recommend Susan to absolutely anyone who’s looking for competent care, a bubbly personality, and patience with an energetic and home-defending fuzz butt!!! We loved her!”

“Tabitha was great with Riley.. I knew from the first meeting and Riley’s response to her she was a good choice. She took the time to care for her as well as play. She even added a day last minute which I really appreciated! I would definitely book with her again anytime I need a dogsitter.”

“Owen is reliable, kind and trustworthy. He shows up, gives my dog a good walk regardless of the weather, and responds quickly. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs a walker.”

“OMG!! Lanese was a last minute lifesaver before my trip! She was very thoughtful and accommodating towards the task of daily walks for Max. Lanese was always on time and made sure she thoroughly fulfilled the walk. Her daily communication while I was away gave me assurance. She is a 10/10 and I definitely recommend her for any one in need of her services! Will definitely call on again in the future! Thanks so much!!!”

“Shane & Brittany did a great job with walking and caring for my dog while I was away on a work trip. My dog requires extra attention (and understanding) which was handled well and made me feel at ease being away from her. I would recommend them to care for anyone’s dog. The daily reports and photos were also appreciated.”

“Erica is absolutely wonderful, and takes such good care of my very needy girl! And her notes on the walks are hilarious. I've already recommended her to some friends.”

“Carolyn is amazing! It is so comforting as a dog owner to know he is in good hands and the pictures she send after each walk show how much he loves his time with her!”

About: My name is Lindsey and I come from a large family with 10 other children. I graduated from high school in May of 2018 and I decided to take a year off. Usually I’m either working, working out, or spending time outside! I love dogs and have had them since I was a kid! We’ve had everything from Great Danes to Hunting Dogs. My favorite was a Great Dane we had named Iris. She was a harlequin & was the last of my sisters litter. I’m available everyday, and during the evening. I’ll make sure your dog has lots of love, goes on long walks, and gets plenty of food and treats! I’m used to caring for animals and have plenty of time to do so. I also train dogs for basic obedience. I’m currently in the military, so I do have sufficient time for your pets, and they will get lots of walks and so much attention as well! I will care for your pets just as you instruct, and follow everything to a T. I send lots of pictures and track my walks with the dogs, so you’ll always know!
“Stephanie was awesome. I needed someone to come walk my puppy, my regular dog walker couldn’t do it and Stephanie was happy to help. She took Willow for a 1/2 hr walk made sure she had water. She sent plenty of pictures was very easy to communicate with just an overall sweet person! I really liked her and will use her in the future! Highly recommend Stephanie!”

About: I’ve had pets and dogs in my family since I was 12. My neighbors growing up always trusted me to dog sit or walk their dogs while they managed their busy schedules. I’ve helped friends and classmates with their pets in my free time during grad school while they traveled or needed to study for exams. I love walking so why not take a furry friend with me! I’m currently working from home and doing freelance work so I have a lot of free time. My schedule is pretty flexible. I can work around your schedule! I will primarily be walking your dog in parks, trails, and neighborhoods with sidewalks to ensure safety. If you have a yard available, even better!
About: I have continuously been the friend and family member that is trusted with dog sitting. I have had experience with senior dog care and with babies as well. I am a very well-rounded worker! I am currently a full-time employee but telework parts of the week! I have plenty of time to fully support you and your pets needs! I treat your space, as well as your pets space with respect at all times. I am a trustworthy person who follows directions extremely precisely.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
