“Although I ended up having to cancel my trip so Ashley/Olivia didn’t end up doing the drop in visits, Olivia was great at the drop-in visit I scheduled before our trip! My chinchillas took to her immediately. Gus, our fiestiest boy, happily accepted cheek scritches from her and another one of my chins even let her pick him up :) That says a lot about how she interacts with animals because as prey animals, trust doesn’t come easily to chinchillas. She also asked a lot of important questions about their care which I appreciated. She was super responsive and flexible about when I came to pick up my key from her. About: Hi there! My name is Ava. I’m originally from Tampa, Florida, and I’m currently stationed at Fort Meade. Since I live in the barracks and can’t have pets of my own, I joined Rover to get my much-needed animal therapy 😄 I’ve grown up around dogs and cats (plus a few other furry and not-so-furry friends) my entire life, and I’ve been pet sitting for others since I was 16. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and I truly miss my fur babies back home. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals of all kinds. I’m really looking forward to meeting you and taking great care of your pets! My current work schedule runs from 8am-12pm. Some days I have to stay a little extra for work events, or my hours might be different. For example, on a day I have an event it typically lasts from 11-3/4 I plan to care for pets by following their routines closely, providing plenty of attention, exercise, and affection, and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved at all times.

About: I’m from the south so my grandparents would always have different animals in the backyard. We’ve even had a goat before! I’ve always been there to help family and friends with taking care of their pets. I’ve also had an internship at a hospital and I’m going into my 4-year on the pre-med track! I am currently an incoming freshman so I will be free all summer and I’m trying to find ways to fill up my extra time.
