“Liz took great care of my cat and made sure he did not bother the fish haha. He even sat on Liz’s lap, which he does with very few people. I came home to a happy kitty after my trip”

“Christine has been a godsend for taking care of my three fur babies. They absolutely adore her and it allows me to go away comfortably knowing that they’ll be happy and taken care of!”

“Majdoline was truly AMAZING with our wild and playful puppy, Cooper! She was extremely attentive with following the schedule we provided for his medicine and always kept us updated with pics/messages. I’m so glad we found her and will continue to use her! I would highly recommend Majdoline! We always felt like Cooper was taken care of while in her care. One of the best we’ve found on Rover!”

“Joshua was fantastic with my cat Athena. They got along famously when he came for a visit, and I was very happy with the updates he shared during my 9-day trip. He was flexible and responsive and I would happily book with him again.”

“Emily was great and took excellent care of my two cats while I was away! They were very communicative throughout the entire time and they followed all of my instructions exactly as requested. I really appreciated their reliability and attention to detail. I would definitely trust them again in the future.”

“Tristen was absolutely wonderful. My dog Sergio loved him and they bonded instantly. It’s always good to have someone you know you can trust with your dog in your absence! You are our dog sitter until you decide not to do it anymore Tristen. Appreciate you!”

“Xianting was very patient and professional and monitor the conditions of my cat closely. It was our first time using rover and we immediately love Xianting and would love to come back to her again. Highly recommended!”

“Tavian is amazing! Highly recommended him if you’re looking for someone to care for your pets. Very communicative and I loved his daily updates with pictures and videos. I felt at ease knowing Archie was well taken care off and was getting plenty of play time while I was away.”

“Ashley was so courteous, professional and thorough. I felt reassured every day of vacation with each personalized message and picture of Egg I received! My only concern is that my cat might miss Ashley more than she misses me!”

“We were very happy with Delaney taking care of our sheltie and shih tzu. She accommodated a change in our initial schedule. She also sent pictures while were away to show the boys walking and playing. I appreciated the way the Rover app works with communicating when check-ins occur. We wouldn't hesitate to have Delaney take care of our boys in the future.”

“Angela was the BEST! Our two kittens loved her so much and warmed up to her so quickly. During the initial meetup she was so attentive and friendly and we felt really relieved leaving our cats in her hands. She sent so many awesome photos and videos of her and the kittens while we were away and we could tell how much they were at ease with her. Would definitely recommend Angela as a pet sitter to anyone.”

About: I have over ten years experience working with cats. When I was a child other neighbors from my urbanization always brought me cats and dogs with different needs to take care with my father. Later after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, many pets were abandoned by their owners at that moment, I became part of Save a Gato in Old San Juan to take care of the cats with their team. I learned a lot more working with them and it was a great honor. We practiced "trap, neuter and release" the friendly ones we prepared them for adoptions the feral just stayed around us. We took care of their food and water stations around San Juan. We also keept clean the main house when we treat and take care of sick cats until full recovery for adoptions. The best moment in spending time with them is when we play. For the puppies I have one puppy playground inside my apartment property, so we can have lots of fun there. First greet and welcome, excelent moment for hugs. Taking care of pets never had been a problem for me. I like to use piano music to keep them relax, and use their own plates for their foods and water. We can do trips to the window to see the birds outside and play with the fishing rod with a bird on it. For puppies, I walked them and play with them in the complex dog's park. I live in one apartment with my two cats Sophie and Soru, but they stay in my room during working hours resting, they work hard at night making sure that I exercise enough playing with them. They love "cats" musical, for some reason. I simply love to spend time with pets, paying them the attention and care that they need. Puppies love to snuggle and play ball catch in my apartment small park.

I couldn't have picked a better car sitter. Felicia was perfect--kind and caring. I just loved how she sent me updates and pictures each day as well as what she did that day. She even informed me that Miss Kitty had vomited but not to worry. Felicia cleaned it up and all was good. Eventually by the third visit, Miss Kitty came out of hiding and greeted her--a big accomplishment. I will book Felicia again. Another perk, Felicia lives about 5 minutes from me--who knew.

This was Majdoline’s first time to look after our two 17-year old cats, and she did a wonderful job!! She not only followed our instructions precisely but also went above and beyond. We are very pleased that she took great care of our senior kitties, and highly recommend her!!

I'm very happy with the care Kristy gave my cats. She went above and beyond, and I really appreciated how communicative she was and how she provided pictures and a thorough report after each drop-in visit. I would highly recommend her to others and plan to utilize her services in the future.

May and Pyae were an awesome help! They were so gentle and kind to our cats, and made sure to give each of them lots of love and attention. All of the updates and pictures were informative and helpful, and it was so sweet seeing how our cats got more and more comfortable with them over time. Truly grateful for all the love and care!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
