About: My husband and I have been taking care of dogs and cats since we were in high school. Our family and friends relied on us to sit their babies while they are out of town. No dogs larger than 80 lbs. We work from home, so we can ensure your pets have constant company. We are attentive to their needs and can address them promptly whenever necessary. A community park is only 5 minute walk away and our home provides plenty of space for your babies to explore. We currently do not have any pet and children at home. We’d love to learn about your pet’s routine at home so we can keep things as consistent as possible and help them feel comfortable in a new environment.
“Liz took great care of my cat and made sure he did not bother the fish haha. He even sat on Liz’s lap, which he does with very few people. I came home to a happy kitty after my trip”

About: I’m a recent college graduate with 10 years of pet care experience and a genuine love for animals of all kinds, including dogs, cats, rabbits, and reptiles. I have the most experience caring for large breed dogs such as Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and Labradoodle mixes, and I’m confident handling strong, high-energy pets. I also enjoy caring for small dogs and cats and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. My schedule is flexible, I’m able to now dedicate quality time to the pets I care for. I enjoy keeping animals active, engaged, and comfortable throughout the day with walks, playtime, attention, and companionship. As a recent college graduate, I’m able to provide dependable care and make sure your pet gets the attention and exercise they need while you’re away. Your pet’s comfort and safety are my top priorities. I prefer creating a calm, loving environment where pets can feel relaxed and part of the family. I don’t like keeping animals caged unless it’s necessary or part of their normal routine, and I always respect each pet’s individual needs and personality. I make time for exercise, play, and affection so pets can burn energy, stay happy, and feel secure while in my care.
“Kristy is amazing and super easy to work with. She did drop ins for my two cats and she took wonderful care of them. I can’t recommend her enough. She went the extra mile on everything and I will be booking with her as long as she continues to do this.”
About: I’m the go-to dog sitter for my friends and family. I’ve watched pitbulls, rotties, small dogs, you name it. I had rescue pit mix for 3 years. She was older and I was glad to spend the time I could with her. I learned a lot about separation anxiety, leash reactivity and the impact of positive reinforcement. I work from home and am flexible. Just message me and I’ll respond asap to confirm or reschedule. I don’t have a set time I can provide at this time. I have a cat at home. She’s a bit fearful of larger and high energy dogs. I won’t do dog sitting in my home until I’ve accessed the dog with previos visits. I can drop by and stay for a few hours if you prefer or just drop by for the food/ bio break. Dog walks will always be 1-1. Unless they’re siblings. On leash with plenty of treats and water.
“Alexandra was incredible! She has great communication skills and truly loved my cat like I would when I was away! She is now my go to sitter. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my little baby girl ❤️”

“Nia it’s a great care of my dog. When I was on vacation she came to the house. She walked him. She fed him. She followed details instructions, and also inform me if anything was out of the ordinary I highly recommend .”

About: I’m a high schooler and I’ve been taken care of pets ever since I stayed with my aunt. I learned so many new things of taking care of pets especially dogs. Pet care helps me better whenever I decided to get a pet, I can do better learn how to take care and maintain any pets I can play with your dog with toys you bring, I personally don’t like dogs when in crate bc I believe that they like running around and having fun. I would have take your pet to stroll around and have some fresh air
“Mariah was amazing! She got along great with my pup and was super reliable. My cats even liked her! She sent great pics and we were so relaxed on Vacation knowing our boys were well cared for.”

I'm very happy with the care Kristy gave my cats. She went above and beyond, and I really appreciated how communicative she was and how she provided pictures and a thorough report after each drop-in visit. I would highly recommend her to others and plan to utilize her services in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Laurel. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
