“Madeline has been an awesome dog walker. She shows up on time and my German shepherd absolutely loves her ! I hope to always be able to book with Madeline in the future.”

About: I have been caring for my own pets for 10+ years and could like to get into formal care. I have also pet sat for my friends and family in the past. As of now I am available daily for pet sitting or walking. I don’t mind waking up early. Would prefer not to be out too late alone. I like to hang out with my dog and take him for walks. He’s pretty lazy though so we just sit together a lot of the time. I will follow any instructions you leave.
About: I have been raised around dogs all my life. My dad bred bigger dogs like cane corsos & i breed french bulldogs. The love for animals, especially pups, should be unconditional, just as theirs is to us!! I train pups as well, notably walking my pup around without a leash when in safe environments. I love any pet that comes into my care! I am self employed as well as an experienced dog breeder. I love pets, cherrish them, & treat them like my children! I spend all day with my pup & take her everywhere. I am self employed from home. I have different arrangements for client preferences including food options, crate options being a cage or a flexi kennel, and a gated area to safely allow the pups to enjoy being pups!
“Thank you Tristen for taking such good care of Maggie. Tristen made an extra trip to pick up house keys and arrived as scheduled to walk Maggie. I received a confirmation upon completion of the walk so I did not have to worry. Thank you again Tristen.”

“Stellar communication and super adaptable to my changing plans. I appreciated his focus on safety for my pup by initiating a meet and greet and being contentious of the heat index with my senior dog’s capabilities.”

About: I enjoy walking and playing with all dogs! I have owned a few dogs and cared for them since I was little. I currently have a Cane Corso. I also volunteer at the animals shelter. I am currently home from school and have plenty of time during the day to walk and engage with your dog. I am available Monday through Friday. I’ll provide regular updates, photos, and honest reports on the dog’s progress. I’ll use positive reinforcement and patience to help your dog feel safe and comfortable.
“I love Shanae's energy and truly appreciate the ease of setting up the dog walks! My pup loves her on initial meet up!! She's very responsive, informative and extremely helpful. ❤️”

“Vatia has been great with Coco! She is always prompt and communicative. She is now a regular walker for Coco and we appreciate her services. I would highly recommend Vatia.”

About: I have a mini Australian shepherd of my own so I know how important it is to make sure a puppy is well exercised. I can’t wait to meet your pup and spend time on a nice walk! I work from home most days so my schedule is pretty flexible! My evenings are usually free as well so I can be flexible based on what works best for you! I have my mini Aussie at home with me and I also have a crate and lots of toys for him to enjoy. I take him on walks all the time so i know what goes into a good sniff walk to get them well taken care of.
“Majdoline has been a huge help to me caring for my dog while away at work. She has been dependable, punctual, and professional. I will continue to use her services for as long as she is available!”

“Olu has been walking for us for about 6 months and we couldn’t be happier with her. She’s on time and walks the full time allotted. What I like best about her is she walks according to the dogs pace . If the dog wants to walk fast, then they do. If the dog wants to sniff the whole way, Olu goes slow. My dog is ecstatic to see her everyday!”

About: I have 12 years of experience caring for my own dog, Snickers, who was a beloved part of my family before crossing the rainbow bridge a few years ago. I also regularly walked my neighbor’s dog during the COVID-19 pandemic while she was at work, which gave me additional experience caring for and building a routine with a dog outside of my own home. Through these experiences, I’ve learned the importance of consistency, patience, attention, and plenty of love when caring for a pet. My experience is primarily with dogs, and I’m excited about the opportunity to spend time with and care for other people’s fur babies. I work full-time during the week, so I primarily provide pet care in the evenings and on select weekends. I enjoy having the flexibility to spend my free time with animals and am happy to make time for walks, drop-in visits, and plenty of attention and play. I keep my availability updated so I can commit to the pets I care for and give each one the time and attention they deserve. My goal is to make sure your pet gets the attention and care they need while you’re away. Depending on your pet and their routine, we can go for a walk, play with their favorite toys, get some fresh air, or simply spend time together. I’m also happy to send photos and updates during visits so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and being well cared for.

“Joshua was very thoughtful and communicative! We’re looking forward to having him as part of our regular walking team for our pups. The dogs loved him and we appreciate the help and genuine care!”

About: Dogs have been in our lives since childhood, and as pup parents ourselves, we understand how hard it can be to find a trusting person to leave your pup with in your times of need. As previous owners of an energetic dog [Cesar], and a foster dog [Argo], we are prepared for the active lifestyle required to care for some dogs. Similarly, we have experience with more relaxed dogs that just enjoy being pet and pampered. We currently serve as pet sitters for our friends who need dog sitting from time to time. I am open to communicating with you as much or as little as you'd like while your pet is with us. Don't worry, I'm that Dog Mom that Facetime's her pup so there's no shame! Currently working from home two days a week, I’d love to have a furry co-worker join me! My work is primarily centered around hosting meetings, and I’m probably the only person on camera without a pet! I have an open home with easy access to the backyard or front of the house for potty breaks. I can crate your dog if requested or let them roam around my baby-proofed home! There are gates and locks EVERYWHERE!
About: I’m a high schooler and I’ve been taken care of pets ever since I stayed with my aunt. I learned so many new things of taking care of pets especially dogs. Pet care helps me better whenever I decided to get a pet, I can do better learn how to take care and maintain any pets I can play with your dog with toys you bring, I personally don’t like dogs when in crate bc I believe that they like running around and having fun. I would have take your pet to stroll around and have some fresh air
“He was nice and respectful, also very flexible which we appreciated and needed. The dogs loved him and seemed happy to hang out with Brandon. We would definitely use his services again in the future!”
“Leroy was so good with my boy even when he would pull his leash out of excitement and just handled him really well. He listened to all download. I gave him about Ranger and put me at ease immediately. I was out of town for work so he picked my boy up from my parents and ended up chatting with them. Also just showing what an overall friendly and helpful person he is I would recommend him to others and my Boy being a lab is strong and he handled him really well.”

I highly recommend Tiera! She has been walking my boy, Ozzy, and has been wonderful from day one. She is dependable, professional, and always arrives at the agreed upon time. I never have to worry because I know Ozzy is in good hands. One of the things I appreciate most is that she sends photos during every walk, which gives me peace of mind and lets me see what Ozzy is doing during their walk. She is also patient, caring, and attentive to his needs, and it's obvious she genuinely loves the dogs she works with. If you're looking for someone who is reliable and trustworthy, I wholeheartedly recommend her.

Ryan has been such a huge blessing. We walk our neighbor's dog regularly but since I was traveling for two weeks, we asked our neighbor if we could hire a dog walker for that time. Ryan not only managed a big strong dog but willingly accepted the dog's owner walking with him. She has some medical challenges that make it hard for her to walk her dog but she still wants the exercise. He was always early as well as patient, kind and respectful. We will definitely use him again.

Majdoline was such a precious and amazing dog walker for Gamja. She treated him with so much love and genuine care, and I couldn't be more thankful. I’m so sad that our move means we have to part ways. I know without a doubt that she will succeed and shine in whatever she does. Wishing her nothing but the absolute best!

Iliana is amazing! Hallie warmed up to her after one day and she is always very happy when we get home. I highly recommend Iliana. She is very loving and caring and takes excellent care of Hallie. We look forward to continue using Iliana for dog walking services.

Sam was absolutely wonderful. She walked our dogs on a regular basis for the past few months. She was always on time, made sure to provide plenty of info and pics, and was extremely flexible with our always changing schedule. Our pups will miss her daily visits as we are moving away. Thank you for treating our dogs just like your own.

I hired Jennifer the day before Thanksgiving, and she was incredibly accommodating. She came for a quick meet-and-greet and walked my dog on Thanksgiving so he wouldn’t be stuck inside too long. She was kind, communicative, and followed all my directions. Teddy loved her, and I feel at ease knowing I have a reliable walker nearby. Highly recommend Jennifer!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
