“She is reliable and always shows up on time. And Taresse even brought in my big heavy packages from the front step which was not expected at all but very appreciated!!”

About: I have been caring for my own pets for 10+ years and could like to get into formal care. I have also pet sat for my friends and family in the past. As of now I am available daily for pet sitting or walking. I don’t mind waking up early. Would prefer not to be out too late alone. I like to hang out with my dog and take him for walks. He’s pretty lazy though so we just sit together a lot of the time. I will follow any instructions you leave.
“Ashley walked our dog twice while we went on an overnight trip. She gave our dog medications at mealtime and sent a summary and pictures after each walk. It’s clear she loves animals and would be a great choice to take care of yours.”
“Thank you Tristen for taking such good care of Maggie. Tristen made an extra trip to pick up house keys and arrived as scheduled to walk Maggie. I received a confirmation upon completion of the walk so I did not have to worry. Thank you again Tristen.”

About: I’ve worked with animals my whole life, I’ve been employed under dogtopia (a doggy daycare) as well as a premium dog walking service. I’m very excited to work with animals again! I am currently on break from school so I have plenty of free time! My goal this summer is fitness so walking dogs fits right in! I am also more than happy to stay overnight or any kind of small visit as well, I am very flexible so I can be wherever, whenever! 😁 I have a black lab, as well as a tuxedo cat, I’ve had them my whole life and been the main caretaker. My pets are very well trained but I am more than comfortable around any kind of pet and am professionally trained on how to handle any shape, size, or personality of animals!
“Vatia has been great with Coco! She is always prompt and communicative. She is now a regular walker for Coco and we appreciate her services. I would highly recommend Vatia.”

About: Hi, I’m Stephanie! I’ve been an animal lover my entire life, and caring for dogs truly brings me joy. I provide a safe, loving home where your pup will be treated like family. I share my home with two friendly dogs of my own—a 9-month-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi and a 9-year-old German Shepherd mix—so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I’m certified in Cat & Dog First Aid through the American Red Cross, and I’m committed to making every stay fun, safe, and stress-free. Whether your dog loves to walk, play, cuddle, or simply relax, I’ll provide personalized care and plenty of love while you’re away. I’d love to connect—please reach out or book a meet-and-greet so we can get to know each other! Because I’m a stay-at-home dog mom to my two pups, your dog will receive plenty of attention, companionship, and personalized care throughout the day. My schedule allows me to be home full-time, so your furry family member won’t be left alone for long periods. Whether they need frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, meals, medication, or simply lots of love and cuddles, I’ll be there to make sure they feel safe, happy, and right at home. My home is a safe, loving, and fun place where dogs are treated like family. While I have a securely fenced yard for potty breaks and outdoor time, it’s not a large yard, so I make sure my dogs get several walks every single day to keep them happy, healthy, and mentally stimulated. We also have a deck with a doggie pool for warm days, plus plenty of toys for playtime and enrichment. I spend most of my day walking, playing with, and caring for my two dogs, and I’d love to welcome your pup into our routine. My dogs are friendly, social, and enjoy making new canine friends, so your furry family member will have lots of companionship, exercise, and affection while you’re away.
About: Most of my pet care experience started January 2025 with the rescue of my pit-mix BB. She was the longest resident at the shelter, and just needed love and a chance. She has returned my fiance and I's love over and over. I grew up with family pets and outdoor cats, and knew the basics of animal care. I wanted a stable life to give any pet the life they deserve! I am grateful for BB and for the village that helps care for her. I hope to be a part of your pets' village! I am currently transitioning between careers, and have the extra time to dedicate to the extra furry ones! Quality time is deeply important to me, and I hope to build bonds on this journey. Without a fenced yard for BB to run around, my fiance and I take turns walking her around our neighborhood circuit. I typically take the morning and he takes the evening. We take extra walks for exercise and socializing, and book SniffSpots to let her run loose! BB has a crate that she sometimes opts to rest in, but 99% of the time she is napping at our feet.
About: I have always grown up with dogs and cats. Animal fur was always a “fashion choice” of mine. Right now, I have a 125 lbs pitbull mix named charlie, he has big paws and an even bigger heart. I also have a stubby, long nosed coonhound named Billie, she is jumpy, rowdy, and loves to cuddle. I have lots of experience with big dogs, I grew up with a Rottweiler and a German Shepherd mix. I love my animals so much, and I know firsthand how having a pet sitter/walker can be nerve-racking. I want to provide you with that trust and much needed knowledge that your dogs are being taken care of. Although I do not have as much professional experience as I would want to, I can provide that same love and care and personal experience that you may not be able to get from someone who doesn’t have big dogs like I do. I am young, strong, and able to respond to any messages sent my way. I’m also always taking pictures to send to any of my clients. Keeping you up-to-date is so important as it assures you that things are going smoothly and that your pet is having a fun, restful, relaxing time. Because your pet deserves a vacation too, of course. Hello! My name is Madeline (pronounced like caroline) I am currently a high school senior, who is going to my freshman year at college in late August. I am looking forward to going to college for acting and getting my bachelors of fine arts in the drama department at Carnegie Mellon University. My weekends are pretty open. Besides the small vacations throughout the summer. I am pretty available most weeks. I am in front of house manager at the Olney theater center. I am usually working nighttime (5-11) shows, so I am available during the day. I have had the amazing opportunity of working with dogs in the last show I was in. I did “legally blonde the musical”. We had two amazing actor pups in the show and that was such a great experience for me. I have grown up with animals my entire life. I have two dogs right now and in previous years I had up to four cats all at once. I have such a huge passion for taking care of animals and being around them. I am very interested in volunteering at animal shelters and will continue to in the future. My favorite type of exercise is to just walk outside. If you have a pup who needs frequent walks I am your person! Walking is my favorite. I have so many favorite places to go on walks. I will usually listen to podcasts, music, or study any of my lines for a show that I’m in. I am incredibly tech savvy and will respond to any message or call within a minute or two. I think it’s incredibly important to keep you updated and “in the know” with what is going on while I’m taking care of your beloved pets. At my home I love to take long walks with my two dogs. I am fairly comfortable walking larger dogs, or dogs who like to be on the move. Based off of what you would like me to do, I will follow your instructions to the T.

About: I am an animal lover and have taken care of pets for over 20 years, both my own and others’. I am patient, calm, and playful. I will treat your fur babies with the utmost respect and care. I have more flexibility over the summer as I am a teacher working part time for summer months. I will work with you to find a time to help your pet out! I am happy to come to your house to take walks, fill food/water bowls, etc. I am not watching pets at my own home at this time.
“Marco has been absolutely wonderful with our dog. He's very kind, and his level of communication is so appreciated. He goes the extra mile every day in his care for our dog on their daily walks. Really really grateful we found him for our pup!”

“Majdoline has been a huge help to me caring for my dog while away at work. She has been dependable, punctual, and professional. I will continue to use her services for as long as she is available!”

About: Lifelong dog lover who grew up with a playful Bichon! Experienced caring for both small and large breeds through dog walking and pet sitting for friends (anything from German Shepherds to Maltipoos). I also have experience caring for puppies as well as older, blind, and sick dogs, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and care they require. I recently graduated from college and currently babysit part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the week. I’m a morning person who loves getting outside early, and I try to walk 10,000–20,000 steps every day. I genuinely enjoy long walks, staying active, and spending time outdoors, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. I’m happy to provide dog walking services and spend time playing with and caring for pets in clients’ homes while following their normal routines and any special instructions. At this time, I do not offer boarding or pet care in my own home.
“Naedra helped us out last minute. She was super easy to communicate with. She took great care of our puppy, taking him on two walks each day. She sent pictures and filled us in on everything. We really appreciated her helping us and will definitely use her again!”

V has been absolutely wonderful with my baby boy, Chester. He is always excited to see her when she comes to walk him. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such caring and capable hands. She is incredibly reliable, kind, and flexible with scheduling. Anytime there are changes, she’s always willing to work with me, which I truly appreciate. I completely trust her to keep Chester safe, happy, and well cared for. She does an amazing job, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and caring person to be with their dog.
Sam was absolutely wonderful. She walked our dogs on a regular basis for the past few months. She was always on time, made sure to provide plenty of info and pics, and was extremely flexible with our always changing schedule. Our pups will miss her daily visits as we are moving away. Thank you for treating our dogs just like your own.

Kayla took care of Enzo once again for this weekend while I was out of town. Enzo had some unprecedented health issues on the day I had left but Kayla ensured that he was always safe and cared for. She also kept constant communication with me and kept me up to date with any changes that had happened. She is an amazing sitter and I can’t recommend her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
