“I highly recommend Vanessa. We had an emergency situation and Vanessa immediately responded to our request for a dog walker and was to our house within 30 minutes. She kindly sent us the most adorable pictures of her with our dog. He clearly enjoyed his time with her. She was a lifesaver and so kind to our dog!!”

“Taresse, is one of the best! My sweet pup took to her immediately. Tess is always prompt picking up my pup and dropping her back off. Reliable! You will not regret booking Taresse.”

“Naedra helped us out last minute. She was super easy to communicate with. She took great care of our puppy, taking him on two walks each day. She sent pictures and filled us in on everything. We really appreciated her helping us and will definitely use her again!”

About: Most of my pet care experience started January 2025 with the rescue of my pit-mix BB. She was the longest resident at the shelter, and just needed love and a chance. She has returned my fiance and I's love over and over. I grew up with family pets and outdoor cats, and knew the basics of animal care. I wanted a stable life to give any pet the life they deserve! I am grateful for BB and for the village that helps care for her. I hope to be a part of your pets' village! I am currently transitioning between careers, and have the extra time to dedicate to the extra furry ones! Quality time is deeply important to me, and I hope to build bonds on this journey. Without a fenced yard for BB to run around, my fiance and I take turns walking her around our neighborhood circuit. I typically take the morning and he takes the evening. We take extra walks for exercise and socializing, and book SniffSpots to let her run loose! BB has a crate that she sometimes opts to rest in, but 99% of the time she is napping at our feet.
“Great communication. Goes over and above for my dog. My dog is a more complicated case with anxiety and GI issues. Ariana is great with helping my dog out. 100% would recommend. She is our dogs best friend.”

“We had a great experience with Elizabeth. She showed up exactly on time and took things slow when Charlie was a little nervous at first. Her calm, gentle approach helped him settle in quickly, and he ended up happily trotting along on their walk. Elizabeth clearly cares about dogs and knows how to make them comfortable—would absolutely book her again!”

“Laurie and James are the absolute best. Professional, attentive to the breed-specific needs of our dogs, loving, and highly responsible. I trust them implicitly with our pups and feel like we hit the jackpot in finding this duo. 💗”

“Zachary was fantastic. We took a trip over Christmas break and he took the time to work with our dog who can be shy with strangers, he even brought his dog along with him so he had a friend to play and walk with. I highly recommend him will definitely use him again in the future!”

“Vergil took the request with less than 24 hours notice and quickly am a connection with our pups. He clearly took the time and effort to maximize their walks and they got great exercise. He even managed to accommodate an extension ensuring we had a great time while we were away. We will DEFINITELY work with him again.”

“Sara did an amazing job with my Bulldog Phil. He can be a handful sometimes and she did an amazing job making sure everything went smoothly. You can tell she really cares about animals. Definitely will be using her services again!”

About: I have grown up with animals in the house all my life, and have experience taking care of dogs, cats, and some types of small rodents. I adore animals and love spending plenty of quality time with them. I am available to drop-in and visit, walk, or stay with animals as per my schedule on Rover. If in doubt, you can always contact me personally. I can offer a safe and enriching environment for your animal(s) through playtime, walks, and cuddling. I value all animals' space and comfort-levels, and will adjust to their needs based on how they react to my presence.
“We can't say enough good things about Christina. We were looking for a dog sitter who was not only reliable but would also give our pup plenty of love and attention. Christina exceeded our expectations.”
About: I am a dog lover and have been caring for pets for the majority of my life. I have three dogs of my own; two 11-year-olds and one energetic, almost 2 year-old. Caring for dogs and all animals throughout my life has given me experience with both senior dog care and the exercise and attention younger dogs need. I am comfortable and confident in my dog-walking, feeding schedules, playtime, and basic grooming abilities. Most importantly, I always ensure the pet is happy, healthy, and comfortable. I understand the importance of patience, consistency, and attention-to-detail when it comes to pets, especially senior ones. I love playing with pets, and have fun engaging with high energy dogs. Every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I will treat your pets with the same love, attention, and care as I do with my own. I am currently a college student home for summer break working two part-time jobs. I work at Merriweather Post Pavilion, which has taught me strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills. My other position involves working with neurodivergent children, which has helped me further my skills of patience, responsibility, adaptability, and the importance of understanding individual's unique needs. Pet care is already part of my daily routine. My pet and work experiences have helped me become more dependable, organized, and attentive, which I carry with me to every pet I care for. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, or companionship, I am committed to providing safe, loving, and reliable care. When caring for pets in a client's home, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and consistency. I understand that pets are most comfortable in their normal routine, so I make it a point to follow all care instructions closely, whether this is feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, or any special needs. I always keep dogs securely leashed, pay attention to their surroundings, and make sure they have plenty of food, water, and attention. I also understand the importance of trust when entering someone's home. I am always respectful of client's property, keep doors and gates secure, and provide timely updates to owners so they feel confident in their pets safety and well-being. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while giving owners peace of mind knowing their pet is in responsible hands.
About: I’ve trained police dogs when I was young and have had dogs around me since I was born. I have cared for animals my whole life. I have one cat that is very friendly to other animals and grew up with dogs and cats around.
“Brett is a great asset to my family. Shadow adores him and I am so very happy with his services. I am physically unable to walk her as far or fast as Brett does. Also, he is a consummate professional. Randye Brittain”
“Jaeda arrived on time for both the meet and greet and dog walk. She’s personable and took the time to get to know my pup a little better. She asked good questions about her habits and temperament. She was respectful of my home and pup!”

“Destinee is thoughtful, prompt and diligent about her job. She was able to help me on very short notice and kept me informed in a way I appreciate very much. Most of all, Lilly was happy to see her and that is the thing that counts the most. I will definitely use her services again.”

“Michelle was great! My dog is older & has some health issues. Michelle scheduled a meet & greet with us which boosted my comfort-level knowing my dog was relaxed & comfortable with her. Michelle is very kind & professional. She had a great interaction with my dog, took plenty of pics during the walk (let's face it, we love pics when we can't be with our pups), and she provided a detailed summary of how my dog was on the walk. We were definitely lucky to find Michelle on Rover & hope to schedule more pup-walks in the future! Thanks Michelle.”

Kim is amazing. She is calm, kind, empathetic and my dog is truly in love with her. Shes also always on time and extremely responsive via the app. I was super nervous about finding a dog sitter/walker after some bad experiences with our last dog and feel truly relieved to have someone we can rely on to treat our dog like her own. If she ever stops walking dogs, I’m not sure what we’ll do!

Denssy continues to be an all star walker for us🤩 She helped me by covering some last minute booking days over the past two weeks and even tried to go the extra mile and let me know that she could cover even more if needed. We appreciate her so much!! And she’s always so sweet with Gibson🩷

Michaela has been absolutely wonderful with my dogs, Max and Lucy. She is consistently on time, reliable, and incredibly kind. It gives me real peace of mind knowing they’re in such caring and capable hands. She goes above and beyond to be helpful, and it truly shows in the way Max and Lucy respond to her. I highly recommend Michaela to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
