About: I have had animals ever since I was born! I fell in love with taking care of animals when my family's dog started growing old. Instead of seeing the extra care you must give a senior dog as a chore, I saw it as a teaching moment, as an opportunity to pour even more love into my dog. And, now, I really enjoy dog sitting! I love walking dogs and can take them on hikes, long walks, or a short trip to the mailbox! If you couldn't tell from my pictures I love animals of all kinds! I have a special place in my heart for guinea pigs because my brother has two! I am an incoming college freshman, so in Maryland my availability will be during the summer months and during breaks. Otherwise, I have no other scheduling conflicts! I make sure that I approach each dog differently. If a dog is low energy, I will be able to match their energy and make sure that they are comfortable. And on the other hand, if a dog is high-energy I can match that too. Play time and long walks are always welcomed!

I’ve had dogs my entire life and have cared for them through every stage, from energetic puppies to seniors needing extra patience and support. I’m experienced with administering daily medication and caring for dogs with special needs, like vision loss and hip dysplasia. I’m very active, so I enjoy keeping dogs engaged with walks or runs—and I even trained my own husky to safely pull me on roller skates. I already look forward to getting outside after 5:30pm for walks or runs, so having a dog to join me just makes it even better. On weekends, I’m usually active and have more flexibility, which means I can spend extra time on longer walks, drop ins, and giving pets more attention. I booked Katherine at the last minute (the day before) to walk my two dogs and she responded quickly to my request. Because my last minute request didn’t allow for a meet and greet, one of my dogs was skeptical of Katherine so she improvised and took them in the backyard to play. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
