“Ana provided excellent care to my furry companions for nearly 2 weeks we were out of the country for my daughter’s quinceañera. They are afraid of new faces, but she was able to get them warmed up to her quickly. Her communication was above and beyond. I highly recommend her and hope she will be available for the next time we take a long vacation. Thank you Ana!”

“Yeji did a great job taking care of Athena and was very patient with her while she was feeling a little nervous. She kept us updated throughout her visits, sent plenty of photos, and made sure Athena was comfortable and well cared for!”

About: I do not own a dog personally, however I have had experience caring for dogs. I have dogsitted for as long as I can remember, feeding, walking dogs and genuinely caring for them. I love all dogs alike and at the end of the day I just want to see your dog happy. I am very active, patient and gentle with pets and understand a dog/cats needs from experience and teachings from pet trainer friends and friends that own pets. I am meticulous and detailed when it comes to care, especially understanding that when dogsitting I am dealing with another persons pet, but most importantly an animal that deserves care and respect. I would love to walk or play with your dog, and have committed the time to this work despite also working from home in another profession. Services will include -Meet and Greet. -Only one dog at a time guaranteed. -Convenient/flexible drop off and pick up times. -Excercise/walks at least 3-4+ times a day or whatever is preferred by the owner. -Sanitized rooms, vacuumed daily, and house will never be shared with other pets. -Around the clock attention for overnight boarding, I am able to be work from home every day when I have a dog in my care. I work from home in Ellicott city with time dedicated to care for pets. I am pretty flexible and willing to go out of my way for pet care work. I live in a very walkable and safe neighborhood community in Ellicott City. While not gated, it is a closed community and offers numerous paths for dog walkers, including a dog park nearby as well. There is a shared backyard where I have seen dogs play and ample space in my townhome. I have had cats/ dogs in my home in the past with no problem.
“Brent took great care of our dogs while we were away. He was reliable, communicated well, and made sure they were happy and well cared for. It gave us peace of mind knowing they were in good hands. We really appreciated his help and would definitely book with him again. Highly recommend!”

“Alexis took amazing care of Mikey. We are new to the area and this was a new experience for us. She made both Mikey and I feel comfortable. Her flexibility and communication were excellent and I loved all the pictures and updates! We will be using Alexis for sure again!!”

“Laurie is punctual and very professional. She is very good with my dogs and I could not be any happier with the services. My dogs love Laurie and James, we enjoy having them as our walkers.”

“We were looking for someone to watch after our senior dog when we are away on trips and luckily found Olivia on Rover! She took great care of him on our first booking and we already have additional dates confirmed. It’s a great relief knowing that we are leaving him in great hands while we are away”

“Tabitha took great care of my needy and noisy older cat with separation anxiety. It’s great to know I can leave her in experienced hands. Would love to book again if she’ll have us!”

“Taresse was amazing! She was on time, flexible, very attentive to our dog and cat (and gecko) and very responsive. Taresse was very sweet with both our furry pets. She played ball with Loki and even got our cat to come out and get pets/attention. She also was very gracious when there were a few scheduling hiccups that we made on our side. I would highly recommend her!”

“Thank you for caring for our cats while we were traveling! You really made them feel happy, played with, and fed! We really appreciated you staying for the whole drop in visit and sending pictures as we were really missing them while we were away!!”

“Susan did a great job taking care of our two dogs while we were away. We felt totally confident in her ability to care for our pets. I highly recommend Susan for your pet care needs!”

“Here’s another option with a slightly different tone: Emma did a wonderful job taking care of my pet. Communication was quick and consistent, and she was always very responsive whenever I had a question or update. I felt confident leaving my pet in her care and appreciated the updates while I was away. I would absolutely book with her again and recommend her to others!!!”

About: I love training dogs bodies and minds through exercise and mental stimulation. I’ve owned, walked and was a pet sitter for a variety of dogs. I’ve most recently owned/trained a puppy (he is now almost one). I’m currently working part-time and have a somewhat flexible schedule. Because of this, I will have plenty of time to love on and care for your pup! I am open to walking your dog on a leash, playing with it in your yard, or taking it to the local off-leash dog park.
About: I’ve been taking care of animals for over 10 years. I have grown up with both cats and dogs, and I currently have a 3 year old cat of my own. I also volunteer with BARCS for their dogs day out program, so I have a lot of experience with big dogs. I currently work full time in logistics, and I work from home 3 days a week. I have free time throughout the day on my remote days and on the weekends as well. I always like to take care of animals as if they are my own. Your animals will always be safe and secure and I always go the extra mile to make sure they are as comfortable and safe as possible.

“Alex was absolutely great! She took great care of our cat when we were away. Camden takes awhile to warm up to people, and Alex was great and patient and we came home to a very happy kitty. Alex also helped take our trash cans up and down when we were gone, which was super helpful. Her daily updates about Camden and pictures were detailed and appreciated! We would definitely hire her again to help out with Camden.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Columbia
Charles was wonderful with Bear and Luna! This was actually my first time leaving my pups home alone for the entire day, so I was a little worried about them. Charles made the whole experience so much easier and gave me great peace of mind. He stopped by twice—once in the morning and again in the evening—to feed them, give them potty breaks, and make sure they had plenty of fresh water. He also sent me pictures during his visits, which I absolutely loved. Being able to see Bear and Luna happy and doing well really helped put my mind at ease. Charles is also very responsive and easy to communicate with, which I especially appreciated since I was a bit of a nervous dog mom this time around! Bear and Luna are both fairly big dogs, and I felt completely comfortable having Charles care for them. He was dependable, attentive, and made sure they had everything they needed. I’m so happy with the care he provided and will absolutely book Charles again. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone reliable and caring to look after their pups!

Jaeda did a great job with our golden retriever. She knew just how to manage him on his walks and provided him with lots of petting, as well as playtime. She followed our directions thoroughly and took initiative with providing him with longer walks to calm his energy. She has a natural and caring temperament which really made him feel comfortable.

Alexis took amazing care of Mikey. We are new to the area and this was a new experience for us. She made both Mikey and I feel comfortable. Her flexibility and communication were excellent and I loved all the pictures and updates! We will be using Alexis for sure again!!

Nancy was wonderful dropping in to visit our dog in the middle of the day over a period of one week. Very professional with good communication and feedback. And our dog was very happy to see her. We liked the fact that she owns a large dog, so was very comfortable with our large dog. Highly recommend. Will definitely contact her in the future as needed.

Jason was amazing! He was attentive, prompt, friendly, and communicated so well throughout the entire visit. During his drop-in with my dog, Goose, he sent tons of photos and videos along with a detailed update, which gave me great peace of mind. I will absolutely book Jason again in the future and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.
Second time that Jasmine has taken care of Kiko and it was great. Kiko is very nervous around people, and we threw Jasmine right into the middle of a family reunion to to ease Kiko into the situation. During the three hours that Jasmine was here, her instincts were excellent, and by the time an hour or so had passed she had helped Kiko to be totally at ease around the 25 or so attendees, eventually leading Kiko to kind of be the star of the show. :) Thanks Jasmine!!

Zachary was great! The visit turned out to be a drop-in visit where he and my girl Bella met for the first time. Zachary was caring enough to commit to giving Bella more time to get to know him.and he was concerned and expressed his desire and willingness to help me without me having to ask or convince him to give us more meet and greet time. You are a God send and I’m so glad you are willing to try to help help us. Thank you.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
