“I was hesitant to board our dog due to his senior age of 7 1/2 years and sometime grumpiness around other dogs after too much exposure which lead me to investigate other options. Jessica's reviews were very positive. I too, am very happy with the service Jessica provided. She sent pictures of the individual visits and we communicated by text if needed. However, our dog could have cared less that we were away because he was with his new walking buddy. I will definitely be using Jessica's services in the future.”

“This was my first experience with rover and Delaney made it great! She was quick to respond to my last minute request and spent quality time with our Cocoa girl. Highly recommend her and will definitely use Delaney in the future. Thank you!”

“My babies (2 dogs, 1 cat) were taken well care of while we were away on vacation. I was notified each visit with photos and updates and felt at ease leaving them in Jasmine’s hands! Thank you so much for making our vacation even better and on such short notice!”

“This was my first time using any sitter from Rover and Erika was great! She put me at ease introducing me to ths whole process. She sent daily pictures and drop-in descriptions of how my cats were doing, which made me feel better about leaving them alone. I will definitely recommend her and certainly use her again.”

“Sara was AMAZING with our puppy, Cooper! She made sure he didn’t eat anything on his walks because that’s been a big issue with him. She always made sure he was taken care of and administered his medicine since he recently was discharged from the animal hospital. We can’t wait to use Sara again!”

“Destiny was great with our dog! She was punctual and playful for his drop-in visit. She provided us with peace of mind and some awesome photos of playtime! He already looks forward to her next visit!”

“Victoria was super sweet with our two cats and took extra care with them. She was also very communicative and asked a lot of helpful questions, which I felt was a blessing considering she was our first sitter experience on Rover!”

“Stephanie is AMAZING! I am so glad I found her. I was in search of a new cat sitter and found Stephanie. She recently watched my two kitties and did a phenomenal job. She was always on time, followed all instructions left, communicated with me during her visits, and sent tons of fun pictures. It’s clear that Stephanie loves what she does and has a true passion for taking good care of one’s pets. I will definitely be using her moving forward! She’s great!!!!”

“My first booking, and Kayla made me feel at ease about the process. She is easy going and patient with the cats and my pup, and gave me a heads up when his eating seemed off. I much appreciate your care of Augustus, and I would certainly book again if the need arose.”

“Christina was the best cat sitter we have had! Extremely responsive, extremely attentive to our three cats with very different personalities. Sent us a ton of photos to keep us updated and even helped us grab our mail when we got an unexpected delivery. We will 10000% rebook with Christina again!”

“Angela was punctual and gave me good communication. She stayed later than the agreement to make sure my dog went potty, for which I was thankful. Would hire again.”

“We’ve had Olivia do drop in visits with our two dogs twice now so far and she has been amazing! She is very responsive and has been extremely helpful with us learning rover. Our two dogs are usually not the best with new people and are reactive, but she has been absolutely wonderful with them.”

“Marissa was quick to respond when we had a last minute event come up and needed someone to drop in and feed our pets for dinner. I know our pets are taken care of whenever she's there.”

“Anna is literally the best! This is our third time booking her and we have never had anything go wrong. She’s always friendly and loving with our pets! She makes sure they have the attention they need/could ever want when we are away. 10/10 would recommend 🤟💕”

Jessica always takes good care of my two cats. She is attentive to their needs. My cats are not really that comfortable around strangers but from the pictures she sends, one of my cats is really starting to bond with her. The other cat is a lost cause😊but she does come out from under the bed.

Stephani did an excellent job with our two cats! She came each day and spent the full drop in time with them, scooped litter, made sure they ate, and also played with them while we were away. It was clear to us that our boys loved having Stephani around, and she flagged anything amiss to us each day she came by. We will absolutely book with Stephani again!

Christina was the best cat sitter we have had! Extremely responsive, extremely attentive to our three cats with very different personalities. Sent us a ton of photos to keep us updated and even helped us grab our mail when we got an unexpected delivery. We will 10000% rebook with Christina again!

I totally enjoyed having Won take care of my 10 year old cat, Hal. Won's communication style is thorough and open, he leaves detailed daily reports and great photos. He also takes initiative and when he saw the kitty litter was drifting in the next room, he vacuumed the room. I was very impressed, its a first for me. Won followed Hal's medication schedule and when I got home after 4 days away Hal was happy and relaxed. I plan to hire Won for future trips,
Sierra is so knowledgeable which was immensely helpful with my cats as I was getting ready to leave on vacation, my male cat had an episode of stress cystitis. Sierra knew about this disorder, gave me advice, particularly on how to entice the cats to eat the new renal wet food that they hate, and I felt extremely comfortable with her monitoring my male cat for any issues while I was out of town. She sent updates and kitty pics which I love. I will definitely hire again! 😻

Mikaela has been caring for our cat while we are on vacation for the last 3 years & our experience has been nothing but great! Leaving your pet at home while on vacation can be an heartbreak, but it is absolutely reassuring if you have someone like Mikaela, who is so reliable and caring! We find our cat happy and cared for when we get home and there is no better feeling!

We’ve used Grace through Rover for years, starting with our senior cat and now with our two kittens. She’s been wonderful every time and always takes such great care of them. Knowing they’re with someone we trust gives us so much peace of mind when we’re away. We love getting her updates and photos, and it’s clear she truly cares about the pets she watches. We always come home to happy, well-cared-for cats, and we’re so grateful to have found Grace. We highly recommend her!

Caroline was absolutely wonderful while we were away on vacation! She took amazing care of our boys, making sure they always had fresh food, water, and plenty of attention. She kept us updated with the sweetest photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were gone. It was clear they were happy, comfortable, and well cared for the entire time. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and would happily book with Caroline again. Highly recommend!

Here’s another option with a slightly different tone: Emma did a wonderful job taking care of my pet. Communication was quick and consistent, and she was always very responsive whenever I had a question or update. I felt confident leaving my pet in her care and appreciated the updates while I was away. I would absolutely book with her again and recommend her to others!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
