“We needed a sitter last minute and Hollie was just the right person. She took care of our cats and even helped out when we forgot something. Hollie is definitely the person to get to watch your animals.”

“Mel was available on short notice, very thoughtful, communicative and pro-active. We got lots of photos showing us everything was taken care of even though our shy kitty hides under the bed. We are h happy to have Mel car sitting for us again soon”

“Keira was very flexible as I figured out my last minute schedule changes. My dog loved her and Keira kept me updated on the when she arrived, how my dog was doing. It was very nice to know my pup was taken care of while I was away.”

About: I've house sat my sisters 100 pounds saint bernard before for a couple days. My family had a black lab that lived to be 14 and I helped take care of him and we have a 4 year old German shepherd who we have had since he was a puppy. I am currently unemployed so I am available anytime during the week from Monday to Thursday to walk or watch your dog or dogs and I am always vigilant when watching pets. I have a small fenced in yard and I take my dog for a walk everyday at noon and I am always vigilant and make sure that dogs don't get into anything

“Sam is the only person that we trust to watch our dogs and he does such an excellent job each time. We've been using Sam for years and plan to continue to use him in the future.”

About: I love going on long walks and love having a fur covered, tail wagging friend join me on those little adventures. I am fairly flexible with being able to do lunchtime walks during weekdays as well. We all know how important it is for our four legged friends (and us) to stretch their legs! If you're going away and your dog like hikes or trail adventures to get their zoomies out, I am happy to take them on those adventures as well. I currently go on camping and hiking trips with a larger sized dog, hang out regularly with a big German Shepard, and grew up loving and caring for small dogs like Westies. From the tiny guard dogs to the the large cuddle bugs we all adore, I am comfortable with a range of dog sizes and energy levels. I can't wait to meet yours! I am currently working full time, but remotely Wednesday through Friday and can take care of your pet around lunchtime as my daily schedule is flexible. If not lunch time, I am off work at 4pm m-f and can care for your pet at 4pm or after. On weekends I am usually around and can work your pet care schedule around my own. I can usually be flexible with walking your dogs throughout the day. I am also capable of taking them on long walks if needed. I can follow whichever precise directions you need me to follow and if you are training your pet can do my best to follow those training tips you have been working so hard to enforce.
About: I have grown up around cats and dogs and I currently foster them, as well as volunteer as a cat adoption counselor at a rescue. This means I have dealt with animals of all kinds with different needs and personalities, and as a cat adoption counselor, I am familiar with cat behavior and how to make them feel most comfortable. I am currently a fourth year Penn State student with a relaxed schedule so I am free most of the day and have long breaks in between classes which I can dedicate to spending time with your pets! Every pet is different and if there are special care instructions, I’ll follow them very closely to make sure your pet feels safe and cared for just the way you’d do it. If no specific routine is provided, I like to start off gently and let the pet set the pace until we get to know each other better. Building trust is so important to me and I always take my time to make sure a pet feels comfortable and respected. I’ll treat your pet with the same patience and love I give my own pets and fosters and I’ll always follow your guidance since you know your pet best!

About: I have been a dog lover and dog mom for many years. I grew up with a dog and have a dog of my own now that I adore. I enjoy young dogs that are full of energy but I also have a soft spot for the senior dogs who have a heart of gold. I currently work as a school teacher during the day. My hours are 7-2. I am free in the evenings and weekends. I will be free during the day throughout the week in just a few short weeks once school ends. I can come to your home to care for your dog and and walk your dog whenever needed. I am flexible and willing to work with your busy schedule.

“Here’s another option with a slightly different tone: Emma did a wonderful job taking care of my pet. Communication was quick and consistent, and she was always very responsive whenever I had a question or update. I felt confident leaving my pet in her care and appreciated the updates while I was away. I would absolutely book with her again and recommend her to others!!!”

“Sophie is simply the best! She is very reliable and caring. We felt confident leaving our three cats in her care, especially our 15-year-old cat with dementia. During our trip, we knew our cats were in great hands. We are already looking forward to our next international vacation, knowing Sophie will take care of our beloved pets.”

About: Note: I live in downtown Baltimore but work in Arlington, VA so housesits in DC/Virginia are ideal. Hi! I’m Serena, a dependable and experienced pet sitter with over 10 years of experience caring for pets and homes. I grew up in a home full of cats and 1 dog and was a proud cat owner for many years. Since then, caring for other people’s pets has become something I truly enjoy. Friends, neighbors, and travelers regularly trust me to care for their pets while they’re away. I understand that pets are family, and I always work to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed in their own environment. My clients often tell me they appreciate my communication while they’re away. I make sure to send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see how your pets are doing and feel confident they’re in good hands. Outside of pet sitting, I’m an avid gardener with over 30 indoor plants and a vegetable garden. Because of this, I’m also very comfortable caring for plants and maintaining a home while you’re traveling. At the moment, I am available full-time some weekdays during the day as well as some weekends. Please send me your dates, and I will check my calendar. My Care Style My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. During visits I focus on: • feeding and fresh water • litter box or bathroom breaks • playtime and attention • monitoring behavior and wellbeing • maintaining routines your pet is used to I’m also happy to help with small household tasks such as watering plants, bringing in mail, and keeping your home tidy while you’re away.
“This was my first time using Rover so I was a bit hesitant but Carolyn B. made me feel secure with my animals under her care. She was prompt, thorough and conscientious for all of the visits while I was away. She stayed in communication with me and responded promptly to any of my questions. I recommend Carolyn and would use her again!”

“I appreciated Keira's cheery disposition and professionalism. She was quite knowledgeable about animals in general because of her regular profession and that helped put me at ease. I would book with her again.”

“Janine took good care of my kitties. She followed up each visit with good photos after, and she helped me figure out my automatic feeder. She was also very flexible when I asked if we could make a schedule change.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Catonsville
Kudos to Ryan for coming to our house for a meet and greet with our dog ahead of time. Quinn was very comfortable with Ryan. Ryan was punctual for both the meet and greet and on the day he let Quinn out for 30 min. From the pictures Ryan took, it appeared Quinn had a great time with him. Thank you Ryan!

Caroline came in at the last minute and saved the day for a week-long trip for us. When we met, it was clear she had a ton of experience and she was so patient with our high-energy pitties, who absolutely loved seeing her every day! You cannot miss if you book Caroline, she's passionate, communicative, flexible, and the dogs love her.

Sophie is a real pro! Our two dogs and cat loved her right away. Our cat rarely comes out to see new people, but on the first day she came to see Sophie and ask for pats. Sophie is extremely knowledgeable and asks good questions. She is great at daily communication. She provides thorough reports as a default. If you want less info, you can ask for that, too. I really enjoy knowing the details of her visits. We honestly can’t think of one thing she could improve! Three days a week we need to be away for 14-15 hours. Sophie is always on time for her midday visits and the time she spends with them is keeping them happy and well. We feel super lucky that Sophie was able to take us on.

Samantha has watched our dog twice now and she is always so fantastic with Tahlee! She sent photos of Tahlee while I was out of town! Samantha was able to work with our schedule even with her weekend already being booked out! Absolutely recommend Samantha to house sit your pets!

This was the first day of leaving Coda by himself for a full work day and as pawrents we were very anxious about it, but ee decided to trust in Lisa to come and spend some time with him. During the short meet up we did, Coda loved her, we had never seen him connect with someone so fast. We are glad we got Lisa to come hang with him because it gave us a piece of mind and Coda had a great time with her. She followed all the instructions step by step.

Keira came through for us in a pinch when we were going to be out of town last minute, and we appreciate her so much! This was our second booking with her, and just like last time, everything went perfectly. She stopped by for drop-in visits with our dogs and took great care of them — no stress, no worries, just smooth and easy. She’s officially our go-to now! If you need someone reliable, responsive, and great with animals, definitely keep Keira at the top of your list. 🐶❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment.
