About: I’ve recently started pet sitting for friends and family and found it very rewarding. At home I am use to looking after my dog Remy who is an 90 pound poodle mix along with my cat Mia. They both are a handful but they are members of the family that have prepared me for looking after others. I am currently attending graduate school and am looking to start work near my home. I am always looking for opportunities to pay my way while helping others. I will work to make time in my schedule to accommodate yours! I always try and be friendly and patient. At home my dog Remy takes medication nightly while also having quiet the personality. His boisterous nature can be hard to rein in but when he is given his time he settles.

About: I truly believe pets are part of the family—and when they’re in my care, that’s exactly how I treat them. ❤️ I have experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities, including walking, drop-in visits, and caring for them in both my home and their own homes. I love getting to know each dog and figuring out what makes them happy. Whether they want to play, go for a good walk, get lots of attention, or simply curl up beside me, I’m happy to follow their lead. I’m an active, engaged pet sitter and love playing, talking to, and spending time with my furry friends. Once they’re in my care, they become part of my family. I enjoy playing with cats too, and giving them attention, but I also understand that many cats are happiest doing their own thing. I’m perfectly comfortable letting a cat have their space while keeping a watchful eye and making sure they’re safe, comfortable, fed, and cared for. My home is smoke-free, clean, calm, and pet-friendly. I keep food safely stored in cupboards and maintain a clean and sanitized environment. I’m mindful about keeping floors and common areas clean and making sure pets have a safe, comfortable place to relax. I have lengthy experience with large aquarium set ups with fish, turtles, geckos and lizards. Most importantly, I’m dependable, attentive, and respectful of your pet’s individual routine and personality. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep you updated while you’re away, and treat your home and belongings with the same care I would want someone to give mine. Whether your pet needs a long walk, a playmate, a quiet companion, medication reminders, a cozy place to stay, or simply someone to keep them company—I’m happy to help. Your pets aren’t just pets to me. They’re little members of the family, and they deserve to be treated that way. 🐾 P.S. Rover is my first experience charging for pet care and that’s why I don’t have many jobs posted or reviews. Previously I traded services or offered free. I have been a Trusted Housesitters member for over 6 years. Right now, I’m working during the day, so my availability is primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays. Monday–Friday: Available after 6:00 PM for evening walks, drop-in visits, and pet care. Weekends: Flexible availability for walks, drop-ins, pet sitting, and boarding in my home. Holidays: Available for pet care, flexible. I’m also happy to care for pets in my home M-F when the timing is a good fit. I know pets do best with consistency, so I’ll work with you to understand their normal routine and make sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need. As my schedule changes, I expect to have more daytime availability in the future! When you leave your pet in someone else’s care, trust matters. I take that responsibility seriously. Your pet’s safety and well-being will always come first. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, stick to their normal routines as much as possible, and pay attention to the little things that help them feel comfortable and secure. I’m also happy to send updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is doing well while you’re away. I treat your home with the same respect I would want someone to show mine. I’ll keep things clean and secure, make sure doors and gates are properly closed, and never take shortcuts when it comes to your pet’s safety. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to doing what I say I’ll do. If something unexpected comes up, I’ll communicate with you rather than making assumptions. Most importantly, I understand that your pet isn’t “just a pet.” They’re family. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, comfortable pet—and to feel confident that they were cared for with kindness, patience, and genuine attention while you were gone. 🐾

About: I am a therapist full time and I grew up with a labradoodle (he’s 13 and thriving!) I have two cats of my own as well. Growing up throughout high school, I was a dog sitter and dog walker for neighbors and family friends. I have so much love for animals and experience in senior dog care, post-surgery care, and all sorts of cat care :) I also have watched bunnies!! I work full time as a therapist but full time looks different as a therapist, I work about 25 hours a week so I have lots of time to drop by and check on your animal(s) or take ‘em out for a walk! I approach every animal with love and respect for their boundaries! I am a huge animal lover and my empathy I would say is my strong suit for both my full time job and this one :)

About: I’ve been the primary caregiver of our family dog for over a decade (miss you Luna!). She was small but feisty and I have experience taking care of dogs of all sizes and ages for friends and family! I’m a grad student and have classes and my internship to attend to Monday through Thursday, but am free in the evenings those days, and all day on the weekends! About: Hi, I’m Emily and I’m new here! I’ve been a dog lover my whole life. Growing up, my family always had dogs, and now as a young professional, I have one of my own, Maverick, a very spoiled German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees rescue! My passion for pets grew even more when my sister started her own pet services business, Kailey Walks Dogs, in Salisbury, MD. Whenever I have extra time, I head to the Eastern Shore to assist her and shadow her during appointments. It’s given me valuable, hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m comfortable working with pups of all temperaments. Having a reactive dog myself, I understand how overwhelming and sometimes isolating it can feel. I’ll always take the time to get to know you and your dog and work with whatever makes them feel safe and comfortable. I can’t wait to give your pet all the love, attention, and pets they deserve! Fun fact: I can say “Can I pet your dog?” in five different languages! Not sure I can think of anything better than spending my weekend around pets! Most of my weekends are wide open. Just shoot me a message and we can figure out a plan! I’m detail oriented and committed to following your dog’s routine and specific needs. I’m also very active, so if your pup loves a high-energy lifestyle, I can definitely keep up! On every walk, I come prepared with treats, water, and dog deterrent spray to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.

About: New Customer Discount Code: kylat35017 *Teacher Hours: Friday drop-off availability is after 3pm. However, please contact me if you are open to working something out beyond those hours (crate-ing, early morning drop-offs, etc.)! Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and experienced pet sitter with a 5-star rating on Rover. I understand how important it is to find someone who will care for your dog like family, and that’s exactly how I approach every visit. Having loved and cared for my own dog for many years, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I have experience with dogs of different ages, sizes, and personalities, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. Whether it’s overnight boarding, drop-in visits, or walks, I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and personalized care while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re apart. I’m reliable, communicative, and committed to making both you and your pup feel at ease. My goal is for every dog to feel safe, loved, and right at home. I look forward to meeting your furry family member and giving them the care they deserve! As a teacher, my schedule reflects my summer availability. I plan to be available all throughout the summer but if anything changes my schedule will be updated promptly! My apartment is extremely dog-friendly and I am fortunate enough to have a decent sized patio for late night/early morning potty breaks or just basking in the sun. I am also a short distance to Patterson Park, perfect for long walks. I have fostered dogs from BARCS in the past as well as watched my friends dogs and I cannot help but treat them like the babies they are. I have no shame in showering every dog with all the compliments. I am diligent in how I let dogs interact while making sure everyone is happy and comfortable. I also have experience with administering medication orally as well as ear drops.

This is my first time being a client on Rover. As a Rover sitter myself (and Raechel’s sitter!) my expectations (and anxiety) were high. My two cats were used to family and friends checking in on them and have never had anyone “new” taking over that role. Raechel responded right away when I checked in during a visit. Every visit had photos and notes. One of my cats did not come out for Raechel over the ten days I was away, but Raechel and I communicated often and tried different tips and tricks to try and get him to come out and eat. She was very patient and willing to meet my anxious needs. At my request, she even went back to my place after ending the visit to modify the feeding situation because of my anxious kitty. I came home to well taken care of cats and everything like i had left it. I recommend Raechel and will request her again in the future.

Catherine took great care of BuBu while I was gone. From the pictures she sent me, it's clear that he warmed up to her quickly and enjoyed the attention she gave him. It looks like Catherine spent a lot of time brushing BuBu, which is one of his favorite things in the world. Catherine went above and beyond by emptying the litter genie when it was full and throwing the bag in the dumpster.

About: Note: I live in downtown Baltimore but work in Arlington, VA so housesits in DC/Virginia are ideal. Hi! I’m Serena, a dependable and experienced pet sitter with over 10 years of experience caring for pets and homes. I grew up in a home full of cats and 1 dog and was a proud cat owner for many years. Since then, caring for other people’s pets has become something I truly enjoy. Friends, neighbors, and travelers regularly trust me to care for their pets while they’re away. I understand that pets are family, and I always work to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and relaxed in their own environment. My clients often tell me they appreciate my communication while they’re away. I make sure to send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see how your pets are doing and feel confident they’re in good hands. Outside of pet sitting, I’m an avid gardener with over 30 indoor plants and a vegetable garden. Because of this, I’m also very comfortable caring for plants and maintaining a home while you’re traveling. At the moment, I am available full-time some weekdays during the day as well as some weekends. Please send me your dates, and I will check my calendar. My Care Style My goal is to keep your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. During visits I focus on: • feeding and fresh water • litter box or bathroom breaks • playtime and attention • monitoring behavior and wellbeing • maintaining routines your pet is used to I’m also happy to help with small household tasks such as watering plants, bringing in mail, and keeping your home tidy while you’re away.

Sarah is hands-down the best pet sitter we have ever hired! We left our dog Everest and cat Eli in her care for the weekend, and she provided total peace of mind from start to finish. Her drop-in visit cards were so thorough, thoughtful, and filled with photos. She made sure Everest got plenty of exercise playing fetch (even improvising indoors when it rained!) and gave Eli so much love and playtime with his favorite wand toys. She paid close attention to every detail of their routines, feedings, and treats. We came home to very happy, relaxed pets.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Baltimore stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Baltimore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Baltimore with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Baltimore. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
