Kal has been a dream come true—I cannot praise her highly enough. My cats are very shy and can be anxious when I’m not around. Kal went above and beyond to meet them at their comfort level and help them feel secure. For the first time in their five years of life, they actually came out to interact with a sitter. That’s the kind of energy Kal has. From booking through sitting, she has been extremely thorough, detail oriented, and easy to communicate with. I feel so much better knowing that my boys have her to hang out with while I’m away. Your pets new favorite spare human indeed! Thank you so much Kal ❤️🐾

About: I am a therapist full time and I grew up with a labradoodle (he’s 13 and thriving!) I have two cats of my own as well. Growing up throughout high school, I was a dog sitter and dog walker for neighbors and family friends. I have so much love for animals and experience in senior dog care, post-surgery care, and all sorts of cat care :) I also have watched bunnies!! I work full time as a therapist but full time looks different as a therapist, I work about 25 hours a week so I have lots of time to drop by and check on your animal(s) or take ‘em out for a walk! I approach every animal with love and respect for their boundaries! I am a huge animal lover and my empathy I would say is my strong suit for both my full time job and this one :)

About: In college, I helped my friend raise a seeing-eye dog in training for two years. We had him from the time he was 6 weeks old until he went back to the Seeing Eye at 1 and 1/2 years. This gave me experience training puppies, and since the Seeing Eye had strict standards, I can be as tough or as gentle as you need. I love also playing or just hanging out with dogs, so however energetic or relaxed you dog is, I can handle it. Since college, I have watched friends's dogs from anywhere between quick walks to overnight stays. I am a law school graduate currently studying for the bar exam. My schedule is pretty flexible as I set my hours, so I am pretty available throughout the week. I am available some weekends as well! Above all, I am a very neat person and will respect you space if I come to care for your pet in your home. I will happily clean up any messes that come up with taking care of your dog, and I will put everything away before I leave. I recognize it takes a lot of trust not only to allow someone to take care of your dog, but to also let that person into your house. I will never do anything beyond your instructions (barring an emergency), and will gladly send pictures and updates at every opportunity. Additionally, I am always prepared with toys and treats!

Im always conscious that every pet is going to have their own needs and boundaries and my goal is always to first establish what those needs and boundaries are and then work with them for that.

Nicole is amazing! We have had the same dog sitter for 7 years, this was the first year we had to get a new sitter cause prior sitter moved too far away. When I left on Saturday I was so anxious about my baby. Every check in Nicole provide an update. She was so aware of Sandy’s behavior as they changed a bit through the week. She set me pictures and updates. I can’t tell how amazing that feels to know my baby was cared for in the same way I would have cared for her. When we got home, and for the fist time in while, Sandy was not “mad” at us for leaving. Yes I can tell when my dog is not happy with me. Thank you so much Nicole for your amazing care for my baby. Hope to be able to book you in the near future. ?

About: I've had dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahua to Great Dane and Great Pyrenees (multiple at a time), over the last fifteen years. I've cared for my rescue pup Dumpling on my own for the last five, and have helped to rehab her into the lovebug she is today. I like talking multiple walks per day, will give your fur baby lots of love and attention, and I work from home so they will always have a watchful over them. I understand how much pet owners love and cherish their babies, so I will treat them like they're my own while I have them. I work remotely full time and can be fairly flexible if needed. I walk my own dog four times a day, and she loves having walk buddies, so we'd of course take your pet along. On the weekends, I like going for extra long walks, so if that's something that your pet enjoys, they'll have a great time with me. I live in an apartment downtown, so I don't have a fenced area, but I let pets have free reign in my apartment. There are also two dog parks within walking distance, so for extra and off-leash play time, we can spend lots of time there.

Ned is fantastic and our normally quite cautious cats warmed to him very quickly. He took his time to make them feel safe. He documented every visit in great detail and we were glad to know they were in good hands while we were away. Ned even let them out on a leash. Could not be happier or more grateful!

Jasmine is so fabulous! She is extremely smart, so she was thoughtful about how to introduce our dog to another dog she was taking care of (which worked out great). Jasmine was easy to work with, easy to connect to, and an overall kind and wonderful dog sitter! We look forward to seeing her again, and we know Tucker will too!

Kimberly is absolutely wonderful! Both of my cats loved her! One of my cats is typically skittish and hides from new people, but you would have never known that with Kimberly because he warmed right up to her and even let her pet him which speaks volumes about how comfortable she makes animals feel. She did a great job at caring for my cats and giving my diabetic cat his insulin shots. I loved that she gave thorough updates and great pictures. I highly recommend booking with her!

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 3,187 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Baltimore. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Baltimore. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
