About: With years of hands-on experience caring for hundreds of pets, I bring a level of dedication and knowledge that truly sets me apart. From energetic puppies needing structure and training to senior dogs requiring extra patience, meds, and mobility support—I’ve done it all. I cared for my own beloved pup for 17 wonderful years, so I understand how much trust it takes to leave your furry family member in someone else’s hands. Whether it’s administering medication, reinforcing good behavior, or just offering lots of love and attention, your dog’s well-being is always my top priority. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and my flexible schedule means I’m available when you need me—whether that’s early morning walks, midday drop-ins, or overnight stays. I prioritize each pet’s unique needs and can easily adjust my day to fit their routine. Whether your dog thrives on a strict schedule or just needs some extra attention and playtime, I’m here to provide consistent, loving care whenever it’s needed. I welcome your pet into my home as part of the family—because they deserve nothing less! I’m located between two beautiful parks, perfect for daily walks and playtime. My schedule is flexible, and I always tailor care to match your pet’s usual routine, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.

“With Nina as a sitter, I felt my cat was in good hands. Not only did my cat get some exercise, but she was fed and even began to greet Nina at the door! Not only is Nina prompt, but she provides photos and detailed info on how your pet is doing. It gave me peace of mind while I was away. Would definitely book with Nina again.”

“Kathleen was great, very communicative with us which was amazing! We trusted her with our babies and would definitely have her watch them again!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Kimberlyn! For my cat parents - this was the first time I’ve been away from my baby for longer than three days…. Ever. I was so anxious! This was my first time using Rover, and Kimberlyn made the whole process a breeze. I mean really and truly, she mitigated my separation anxiety in a way that I will forever be grateful for. She was willing to meet my cat prior to the sitting, she followed my *insane* care instructions well, constantly went above and beyond, and from the five pictures I received every day I could SEE that my sweet boy fell in love with her. I mean, truly - no notes for Kimberlyn. I loved her, my kid loved her, and in the event that I have a last minute trip again I will ABSOLUTELY be requesting Kimberlyn.”

“Lindsay has helped us several times now. She’s a wonderful, attentive, caring dog walker. She always send updates and adorable photos of my dogs while she’s caring for them. I highly recommend her, and I look forward to having her help us out again!”

“Nicole took great care of our two cats for several days - coming by twice a day and always providing an update and photos. She is wonderful and our cats are in great shape! We’ll check with Nicole first when we need care for our sweet kitties in the future.”

“Tanner took such great care of my cats! I My cats were very anxious since we just moved into a new place and Tanner was very patient and caring considering that they were very anxious. I will definitely boom Tanner again in the future!”

About: I'm a life-long dog owner and have had cats much of my life. Years of volunteering at animal shelters has given me real, hands-on confidence with all kinds of animals and temperaments, including the reactive and anxious ones who need a calm, patient hand. I also have advanced training for working with dogs with behavior challenges, training protocols, dog and cat body language, and I am currently in the process of getting certified in pet first aid and CPR. I'm comfortable administering medication, managing mobility limitations, special needs, and the kind of quirks that make pet parents nervous to leave instructions for a new sitter. No matter the animal (even birds, fish and other animals), the basics stay the same: sticking to their routine, and sending updates and check-ins so you're never wondering how things are going. Your pet is in calm, capable hands. I work from home and am available for walks and drop-ins in the mornings and evenings, and midday as my schedule allows. I’m also available for house sitting. Have needs outside of this? Let’s talk! If the travel distance exceeds my daily service range, additional fees may apply. For walks and drop-ins, I keep things low-key: familiar environment, familiar routine, minimal disruption to their day. For house sitting, I stay in your home and keep your pet's routine exactly as you left it. I treat your space with the same care I'd want someone to treat mine. Got a weird routine, like needing to fake a 5-star meal, or finding the perfect blade of grass for a potty break? Tell me about it, I'll make it happen.
“Isabel was a great sitter to our two kitties! Great communication, very timely and our cats, even our hard to please one, trusted and enjoyed their time with them! Would highly recommend :)”

“Julie did a great job taking care of our cat. She was prompt, reliable and came to visit when she said that she was planning to do so. My cat continues to really enjoy spending time with her. :-)”

“Christine was super communicative, easy to talk to, and clearly had a natural bond with our cat. We will definitely be reaching out to book her when we go away again!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life. I currently have two perfect one eyed cats and I couldn’t be more obsessed with. I love dogs of all sizes and adore cats. I currently work from home, so my day to day is pretty flexible. We can workout whatever schedule you need that your pet is most used to! Whatever your pet needs, I will take care of! It’s as if you were never gone! I’m active, so long walks are not a problem
About: 10 years ago I worked at wagmore dogs and since I’ve taken my skills to my community and taken care of family and friends pets when they went out of town or when they simply did overtime at work I only work my full time 3/4 days a week and it gives me ample time to take care of pets.mid week and weekend availability I can easily crate your dog if needed but I typically clean up after every little thing your fur babies do. I’m a parent and had fur babies of my own so I understand how important caring and attentiveness is
About: I've had dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahua to Great Dane and Great Pyrenees (multiple at a time), over the last fifteen years. I've cared for my rescue pup Dumpling on my own for the last five, and have helped to rehab her into the lovebug she is today. I like talking multiple walks per day, will give your fur baby lots of love and attention, and I work from home so they will always have a watchful over them. I understand how much pet owners love and cherish their babies, so I will treat them like they're my own while I have them. I work remotely full time and can be fairly flexible if needed. I walk my own dog four times a day, and she loves having walk buddies, so we'd of course take your pet along. On the weekends, I like going for extra long walks, so if that's something that your pet enjoys, they'll have a great time with me. I live in an apartment downtown, so I don't have a fenced area, but I let pets have free reign in my apartment. There are also two dog parks within walking distance, so for extra and off-leash play time, we can spend lots of time there.

So grateful to Brianna for taking such good care of my cats, including giving one eye drops. She was very communicative and caring throughout and very understanding of me still figuring out Rover. A super lovely human overall, would highly recommend her to anyone :)

Maheen is super communicative and treated our pets like they were her own. She was great with both our cats and dogs and very reliable! She kept us updated throughout our time away and during every check-in, and was patient with our animals. I would recommend Maheen as a pet sitter to anyone in the area and I’m sure our pets are looking forward to seeing her again during our next trip.

An amazing sitter. I came back and the kitties were happy, fed, and totally taken care of. Kiernan, my usually shy boy, was actually even out and about, which showed that he had gotten used to her as a visitor and felt comfortable with her. Was consistently on time, and I have no complaints. 5/5 stars, would absolutely recommend.

We needed a sitter at the last minute before a holiday, and SJ responded *so* quickly to our request! SJ was incredibly proactive with communication and setting up a meeting time. Not only did SJ provide adorable pictures of our sweet guy, but he also addressed our specific requests in the Rover card following the drop-in. It was a hot weekend and there were lots of power outages, so we were able to enjoy our time away a lot more knowing that our cat was in great hands. If you need a sitter, I highly recommend reaching out to SJ!

My wife and I have had Sylvia petsit for us a few times now, from a couple days to a week or more. Everytime she is thoughtful, communicative, and addresses our wide array of pets needs with the utmost professionalism. Having 3 cats and a few reptiles with different care routines means we ask a lot but she always steps up to the plate. Sylvia really goes above and beyond and we couldn’t recommend her more!

Sophia was so attentive and sweet to my two cats! This was my first time leaving my cats alone for the weekend but they were in such good hands with Sophia. She made sure they had plenty of food and water and spent extra time petting them so they wouldn’t get lonely - I highly recommend her to any other cat parents out there!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
