“Kaitlin did a great job with my pups! We had an overnight trip planned and needed two checking-food & walks each day. One of my dogs (Frenchie) can be a handful (gets very excited) and Kaitlin did a great job of making workable suggestions to help with better visits/walks. The house was very clean when we returned home and I could tell that my dogs were happy and well taken care of. She also sent great communications/updates and photos.”

“I’ve now used Jennifer multiple times and she is always willing to accept my request on short notice and does a great job stopping in and checking on Jax. She even left holiday treats, which is much appreciated. I definitely recommend Jennifer and will certainly use her again.”
About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid, and it’s still one of my greatest joys. Today, I’m a proud dog mom to two pups: Roxy, my 16-year-old toy poodle with a sweet but sassy senior personality, and Pickles, our affectionate long-haired Chihuahua mix who loves everyone—dogs and people alike! Over the years, I’ve also cared for many friends’ and family members’ pets, including dogs with different temperaments and medical needs. I'm comfortable administering medications and giving each dog the attention they deserve. I love going on walks and always enjoy bringing the dogs along for fresh air and exercise. My family enjoys having a house full of furry friends. Whether your pup is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, they’ll be treated like part of the family in our home. I work from home, so when I board dogs, I am available to them all day and night. I also have my summers off, so I can make even more time for the dogs I walk or board in the summer months. In my home, safety and comfort are top priorities. I have a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor play and potty breaks, and I’ve set up gated areas inside to provide quiet or separate spaces if a dog needs downtime. I have two friendly dogs who enjoy the company of other pups, and my two children are gentle and respectful with animals—they love helping give our furry guests lots of attention and affection. I always take time to get to know each dog’s personality and needs to make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or quiet space, I’m here to make their stay as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
“Joselyn was an amazing drop in sitter while we were away for the weekend. She provided photos and message updates at each visit. We felt assured our GSD and cat were being well cared for.”

“Second time booking with Lori! I have had a little bit of bad luck with pet sitters before finding Lori on Rover. She showed up for a meet and greet and I got the immediate impression that she was dedicated, honest and trustworthy so I decided to give her a try. I'm glad that I did! I now (finally) have a go to pet sitter who I trust completely with my fur babies. Lori will continue to get my business.”

“I am so appreciative of Jasmine's care for my dog. My pug is shy and takes a minute to build trust and Jasmine no doubt earned! She moved at the speed of my pug. The updates from Jasmine showed a happy pup that trusted her more and more every day! Can't thank Jasmine enough! Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life (35+ years) and have experience with a wide range of breeds, ages, personalities, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, high-energy dogs, and pets who require extra patience, attention, or medical care. I have hands-on experience administering medications, including insulin for diabetic dogs, and caring for dogs with seizures and other health concerns. I understand the importance of maintaining routines and closely monitoring a pet’s health and behavior. While I’m not a professional trainer, I’ve completed training classes with my own dogs and have continued that experience by working with my mom’s dog as well. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training, structure, and positive behaviors. I’m a stay-at-home homeschooling mom with two children (ages 4 and 9) who love dogs. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, attention, and care. I also offer care in your home when preferred. Safety, routine, and comfort are very important to me. I closely supervise pets, follow instructions carefully, provide regular updates, and work to make every pet feel secure and relaxed while in my care. I can care for multiple dogs who are familiar and friendly with one another. If needed, I can also accommodate dogs separately to help ensure a calm, stress-free environment for everyone.
“This is the second time Jun has come in clutch for me and my cats with drop-in visits when I had travel scheduled. He’s diligent, respectful of the property and my cats love him. I’d highly recommend Jun for your pet care needs!”

“Jennifer took care of my puppy, Maya in spite of last minutes request. She was flexible and reliable. She sent detail update each time with wonderful pictures! She is very sweet and caring person whom we could trust caring for our energetic puppy.”

“Nathaly is caring and dependable. My pets look forward to their time with her playing and being snuggled. I have an elderly dog who requires medication and a special diet and Nathaly carries her down the steps and makes sure her needs are met. She is a loving person and flexible with my crazy schedule and long shifts. 💕”

“Megan is fantastic! Super on top of everything and extremely good with Ozzy. She takes him on varied walks and gets him plenty of healthy exposure to the world! Cannot recommend enough!”

“Paige did a great job taking care of our cat, Dommy! Thanks to Paige, we had the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely reach out again the next time we need a sitter!”

“Lovely to meet Courtney, so grateful to have her scheduled to look after our little ones. So appreciative of her stopping by to meet the gang before their weekend together!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rosedale
Kelly has been wonderful with our animals. Our boy cat can be so temperamental when we go away, especially if he has hairballs. The care she showed in asking questions and changing routine where necessary to make both cats as comfortable as possible made us confident that we chose the right person to look after our fur babies.

Sierra is wonderful! She asked a lot of thorough questions ahead of our trip and was flexible with her timing. Sierra was very attentive and spent a lot of time playing with our cats, who were thrilled with her company based on the numerous photos she sent throughout. Highly recommend!!!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Rosedale. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
