“We greatly appreciated Courtney’s quick assistance and flexibility caring for our pet this week. She is always reliable and provides regular updates. We highly recommend Courtney!”

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life (35+ years) and have experience with a wide range of breeds, ages, personalities, and needs. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, seniors, high-energy dogs, and pets who require extra patience, attention, or medical care. I have hands-on experience administering medications, including insulin for diabetic dogs, and caring for dogs with seizures and other health concerns. I understand the importance of maintaining routines and closely monitoring a pet’s health and behavior. While I’m not a professional trainer, I’ve completed training classes with my own dogs and have continued that experience by working with my mom’s dog as well. I’m comfortable reinforcing basic training, structure, and positive behaviors. I’m a stay-at-home homeschooling mom with two children (ages 4 and 9) who love dogs. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, attention, and care. I also offer care in your home when preferred. Safety, routine, and comfort are very important to me. I closely supervise pets, follow instructions carefully, provide regular updates, and work to make every pet feel secure and relaxed while in my care. I can care for multiple dogs who are familiar and friendly with one another. If needed, I can also accommodate dogs separately to help ensure a calm, stress-free environment for everyone.
“Jasmine was very responsive to my messages and we quickly aligned on scheduling. Jasmine did a wonderful job handling my two very high energy dogs. I’m looking forward to Jasmine watching my dogs more in the future.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid, and it’s still one of my greatest joys. Today, I’m a proud dog mom to two pups: Roxy, my 16-year-old toy poodle with a sweet but sassy senior personality, and Pickles, our affectionate long-haired Chihuahua mix who loves everyone—dogs and people alike! Over the years, I’ve also cared for many friends’ and family members’ pets, including dogs with different temperaments and medical needs. I'm comfortable administering medications and giving each dog the attention they deserve. I love going on walks and always enjoy bringing the dogs along for fresh air and exercise. My family enjoys having a house full of furry friends. Whether your pup is playful, shy, or somewhere in between, they’ll be treated like part of the family in our home. I work from home, so when I board dogs, I am available to them all day and night. I also have my summers off, so I can make even more time for the dogs I walk or board in the summer months. In my home, safety and comfort are top priorities. I have a securely fenced yard for safe outdoor play and potty breaks, and I’ve set up gated areas inside to provide quiet or separate spaces if a dog needs downtime. I have two friendly dogs who enjoy the company of other pups, and my two children are gentle and respectful with animals—they love helping give our furry guests lots of attention and affection. I always take time to get to know each dog’s personality and needs to make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or quiet space, I’m here to make their stay as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who treats every pet like a cherished member of the family. My hands-on pet care experience includes: Senior Dog Care & Special Needs: Over a decade of caring for senior dogs—including my own 10-year-old Chiweenie—so I’m deeply familiar with gentle handling, administering oral medications, adjusting to slower mobility, and sticking strictly to sensitive dietary routines. Feline Companionship: Experience managing feeding schedules, fresh litter maintenance, playful engagement, and reading cat body language to ensure they feel safe, calm, and respected on their own terms. Daily Walking & Exercise: Dependable, safety-focused dog walking structured around your pup's energy level—from brisk neighborhood walks to relaxed sniffing strolls. Balancing work, family, and daily commitments means my schedule is structured, reliable, and predictable. Because I manage my daily routines with clear flexibility, I can seamlessly integrate high-quality pet care into every morning, afternoon, and evening. Peace of Mind: Complete in-home reliability with clear communication and detailed daily photo updates after every visit, so you always know your fur baby is safe and content.
“Jennifer did a great job as usual..she is always willing to come and take care of my pup when I’m gone..even on short notice.. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pups”
“Kathleen has been wonderful so far! Her meet and greet went well - she was patient and kind to our pup Poe. She’s been communicative as we’ve started working with her, especially to work out schedule stuff. We look forward to having her back for stop bys!”

About: I’ve had the pleasure of growing up with all types of animals and learning at a young age the responsibility of caring for them. I started pet sitting when I was 15 and have been comfortable with all sizes of dogs, cats, and critters in between. I am comfortable administering medicine if needed and have had experience doing so with my own fur babies as well as the ones I have cared for. I also have experience and am comfortable with caring for animals with anxiety. I know that it can be challenging finding the right person to fit the needs/wants that your companion requires and I strive to provide the dedication, patience, and love your friend deserves. My hours are flexible and I am able to make my own schedule for work, therefore I am able to accommodate the needs of your pets care at your convenience and am a very dependable pet care taker. I have always had so much love for animals since I was a little girl and that love has only grown more as I’ve matured. I know how weary it can be trusting a new person with something so precious to you and I want to be someone who can put your mind at ease knowing that your fur baby is in great hands! I am a very responsible, reliable, and loving individual who really enjoys caring for and being around animals. Your companion will get all the love and attention they deserve while in my care!
“Heather came through for us after we had a late cancellation for a cat-sitting. I reached out to several Rover sitters and she was the very first to respond. It meant the world to go on our family trip assured that our boy was in good hands. Heather sent photo updates and promptly messaged back: would absolutely recommend her!”

“Maria was so kind, responsive, and thorough providing care for our dog. She was prompt, asked questions when needed, and made us feel comfortable that our pet was taken care of! We were in a pinch, and she was quick to get back to us! We’d definitely recommend her and ask her to care for our pet again.”

“Paige did a great job taking care of our cat, Dommy! Thanks to Paige, we had the peace of mind to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely reach out again the next time we need a sitter!”

“This is the second time Jun has come in clutch for me and my cats with drop-in visits when I had travel scheduled. He’s diligent, respectful of the property and my cats love him. I’d highly recommend Jun for your pet care needs!”

“Andrew is the best! I have felt so comfortable with him in my home taking care of my dogs. He is great with communication and flexibility. I always appreciate the extra time he takes to write a detailed note with pictures following his visit. I would 10/10 recommend him to anyone who seeks pet care.”

About: I have experience taking care of a border collie, Australian Shepard, and a German Shepard. I enjoy walking around the city and always open to a companion or two joining me. I am able to host dogs at my place, with my German Shepard. I have a fully fenced in yard that all dogs can play in, and I can walk them around my neighborhood. I am also able to do drop in visits for dogs or cats and stop by to walk any dogs. I normally travel for work 3 days a week. When not traveling I am either working from home or have local visits. I plan out my visits so that any pets staying with me will not go longer than 4 hours alone. I will allow all dogs to roam freely while I’m at home and take a break to play with them, and my dog, for about 10 minutes every hour. It gets boring sitting in front of a computer. For any walks or drop ins the time is spent making sure they get plenty of stimulation. Whether it’s walking a new route or playing in the yard I have a fenced in back yard. No other dogs or animals get in the yard, except a squirrel or two. When walking in my neighborhood there is minimal traffic since it has no way for cars to go through it( a lot of dead end streets). I’m close to 695 so if an emergency happens I can get to many vets in the area fast.
“Kaitlin did a great job with my pups! We had an overnight trip planned and needed two checking-food & walks each day. One of my dogs (Frenchie) can be a handful (gets very excited) and Kaitlin did a great job of making workable suggestions to help with better visits/walks. The house was very clean when we returned home and I could tell that my dogs were happy and well taken care of. She also sent great communications/updates and photos.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Rosedale
This is the second time that Kelly has taken care of my cats. She is very professional, kind, and compassionate with my little trouble makers! The cats remembered her from the first visit and they enjoyed her company. While I think Kelly is great, what really matters is what our furry four legged kids think.

Crissy took great care of Vinny during her drop-in visit. We did a meet and greet first and she was super patient with him since he is slow to get to know new people. She asked great questions at the meet and greet, then gave thorough (and cute!) updates after the visit. He was comfortable with her and she kept his occupied and happy.

Sierra is wonderful! She asked a lot of thorough questions ahead of our trip and was flexible with her timing. Sierra was very attentive and spent a lot of time playing with our cats, who were thrilled with her company based on the numerous photos she sent throughout. Highly recommend!!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
