“Leydi and her family did a excellent job keeping Nova for a week while I was out of town taking care of personal family business. Nova enjoyed having other dogs her size to play with. I will surely use Leydi again in the future.”

“Excellent sitter for my dog who tends to be anxious in a new environment. My dog had a stomach issue and Linda took care of him as if he was her own. . My dog didn’t want to leave! Linda provided 5 STAR service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Wren had a great time with Alessandra! She was very kind, responsive, and sent photos and updates while I was away. I know Wren was happy and comfortable because I was told she was a talker which she only does with people she likes. She was also great with schedule changes since my flights didn’t go exactly as planned. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Julie and Jacob H. were amazing! I loved knowing that Sandy was with a family that had another doodle, and I really appreciated the photos, videos, and updates throughout my trip! We will definitely be reaching out again! Highly recommend them!”

“Lexie did a fabulous job with my sassy cat, Brontë! She went above and beyond to update me and to follow the instructions/notes I had written out. We are new to town, and I was nervous about leaving my cat with someone new, but she put me at ease. :)”

“Andrew and Beau were the best. My two dogs stayed with Andrew for 5 weeks and were happy, healthy and cared for like family. Updates and photos were wonderful to get throughout their stay. I would highly recommend Andrew to anyone. He gave me piece of mind for a lengthy time away from home and time away from them.”

“Nathalie was great with our dog, and her dog Nico is slapper friendly and playful with other dogs. I really felt like she gave my dog Piper the attention she needed, and was reassured about her well being with regular photo and video updates. I also appreciated her flexible dropoff and pickup times. I will definitely book with Nathalie again if she is available!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life, all ages and all sizes. Friends and family have frequently relied on me to watch their and house their dogs over the years. I am currently doing a Bachelors degree from home, so will be here almost all hours of the day. I am currently available everyday of the week. I have a large fenced yard and allow pets to roam the downstairs. I have two friendly dogs that will love keeping your dog company. I can crate your dog and provide separate attention if needed.
“Meredith & Kevyn are absolutely wonderful! During my doggos stay I had a couple of personal emergencies come up and not only were they accommodating, they went above and beyond to ease my worries about the inconvenience. When I picked up Harlowe she was happy, worn out from hanging with her new frens, and clean! She behaved better when I brought her home than before I left LOL. We love you guys!”

“Marissa is extremely caring and flexible and treats the dogs she watches like family! I consider her house to be a second home for my dog. Unlike a kennel I always know Marissa will be there to snuggle and play with the dogs and the dogs will get tons of time to play together.”

I was a little concerned about leaving my older dog with a stranger. Alisia was friendly and bonded with Beau immediately. She provided him with a warm, friendly environment and he did very well. She sent daily pictures that put my mind at ease. Alisia is a fantastic provider and I would definitely request her again in the future.
We are so incredibly thankful to have found Crissy. She is reliable, friendly, responsive and trustworthy. Our yellow lab, Daisy, loves going to Crissy’s house. When we had to deliver our son earlier than expected, Crissy was a huge help in watching Daisy and allowing us to feel at peace knowing that she was taken care of. I highly recommend her!

Rich was a true professional. He delivered on every aspect of care for my dog Kaido. Despite being a little dog Kaido can be stubborn and difficult. Rich handled it. He gave me regular updates and asked questions when he needed to. I really appreciate him and highly recommend him. John Gardner

Katherin was kind and communicative throughout my dog, Enzo’s, stay with her. We were visiting from Florida and he stayed at her home for 3 days while we stayed with friends who couldn’t have a dog at their house. I would highly recommend Katherin as a pet sitter!

From the moment I met Robert and his wife, I had a great feeling. They gave off such positive, calming vibes, and I immediately felt comfortable leaving Luna in their care. Throughout the stay, they were communicative and clearly treated Luna with kindness and attention. It was such a relief knowing Luna was in good hands. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter!

I could not be happier with the care and love my girl received from Erin and Cassey while they watched my dog while I was away. They are true animal lovers, and it shows. They sent me updates and pictures that I appreciated. I know without a doubt I made the right decision by choosing Erin to watch my dog at their home while I was away. I would rate them an A+++, and I will 100% use them again and recommend them to anyone I know. Thank you both very much!

A sitter that genuinely cares is hard to find! There was no doubt in my mind at drop off, that our pet baby was in capable hands! Will definitely recommend Aaris! Communication and attention to detail/ pet care instructions, are high on my list of expectations and she met them!

Shoniece was our dog Nutmeg’s preferred sitter. She always took great care of her. She recently watched Nutmeg during a 2 week trip of ours where Nutmeg unexpectedly fell ill due to an unknown cancer diagnosis. While we were away Shoniece went above and beyond to take Nutmeg to the vet for an emergency surgery after she noticed she wasn’t acting by like herself and cared for her during recovery. She treated Nutmeg like she was her own and that was more than I could have ever asked for.

Cassie did an amazing job watching are sweet babies this past week! She took such care to ensure we were kept up to date with pictures and updates on how they were doing! This was our first time doing an in home sitter and I am so pleased with how it went and with Cassie! We can’t wait to have her back the next time we travel!! Would highly recommend!!
Jaison provided excellent care for our two golden doodles. He was responsive during the booking process and made it worry-free. He provided daily updates with pics and videos. He has a fenced backyard; adding another layer of security. Made sure to check in around anything he was unsure about. Would recommend without any reservations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
