“Ian was great and watched my two dogs for several nights. He is very communicative and even shared pictures during their visit. This was a first time boarding both pups, but they seemed to have a great time with Ian and his family. Will absolutely book again!”

“Veronica was so amazing with our puppy Oskar! She was very communicative and sent lots of cute pics. Oskar seems worn out after a week of fun! We can’t wait to use her again.”
“She was my first Rover dog sitter since the person I usually go to couldn’t watch my dog and I will say I was a bit nervous to drop her off at first but Nathaly eased all my concerns. She consistently sent pictures of my dog Venus while I was away, let me know when they were going on walks, her eating patterns and if she peed or poo’d. Honestly, when she told me this was one of her first sits, I was pleasantly surprised by how well she handled it also while having her own dog, Broly (sick name), and managing the two of them. I had no complaints and anyone who choose Nathaly to watch their pet, just know you will get top-of-the-line service and consistent communication. Would book again!”

“I have had lots of great sitters on Rover and Michelle is the very best! She is extremely responsive, sends tons of sweet updates and pictures, and is very easy. Additionally there were several other dogs she cared for that seemed to all be having fun together. 10/10 will use again”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover who treats every pet like a cherished member of the family. My hands-on pet care experience includes: Senior Dog Care & Special Needs: Over a decade of caring for senior dogs—including my own 10-year-old Chiweenie—so I’m deeply familiar with gentle handling, administering oral medications, adjusting to slower mobility, and sticking strictly to sensitive dietary routines. Feline Companionship: Experience managing feeding schedules, fresh litter maintenance, playful engagement, and reading cat body language to ensure they feel safe, calm, and respected on their own terms. Daily Walking & Exercise: Dependable, safety-focused dog walking structured around your pup's energy level—from brisk neighborhood walks to relaxed sniffing strolls. Balancing work, family, and daily commitments means my schedule is structured, reliable, and predictable. Because I manage my daily routines with clear flexibility, I can seamlessly integrate high-quality pet care into every morning, afternoon, and evening. Peace of Mind: Complete in-home reliability with clear communication and detailed daily photo updates after every visit, so you always know your fur baby is safe and content.
“This is Jack’s second stay with Rey, and we will definitely be using him going forward! Our dog is very wary about strangers and opening up, but we could tell that he is quite fond of Rey and his other pupper friends he made. Rey was incredibly responsive, sent lots of pictures, and made the stay very convenient. I appreciate that we do not have to provide a crate or bowls, as this makes dropping him off much easier. We will certainly be back! Thank you for taking care of Jack for us!”

“Fatty had the absolute best time staying with her family. He was showered with affection, got tons of cuddles, and even got treated to pup cups. He loved them so much and we are so happy he has an open invitation to return anytime. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will love their dog like family!”

“Robert is awesome! If you need someone to care for your furbaby, I highly recommend you call Robert. He takes great care of ours and if we weren’t moving, I would continue to book with him when needed.”

“Demetrius was absolutely amazing with Myra! From the beginning, he communicated frequently and kept me updated throughout her stay with videos and regular check-ins, which gave me so much peace of mind. Myra is a senior dog and requires a little extra patience and care, and Demetrius was incredibly patient, attentive, and understanding with her. I could tell she was comfortable and well cared for, and I truly appreciated the level of attention he gave her. I would absolutely trust Demetrius with Myra again and will definitely be booking with him in the future. I highly recommend him, especially if you have a senior dog who may need a little extra TLC. He’s amazing!”

“Kyra is a fantastic sitter! She took great care of my husky during a long weekend trip. She was very accommodating with our pickup time when our flight got delayed due to weather. Will re-book with her again in the future!”

“I was a little concerned about leaving my older dog with a stranger. Alisia was friendly and bonded with Beau immediately. She provided him with a warm, friendly environment and he did very well. She sent daily pictures that put my mind at ease. Alisia is a fantastic provider and I would definitely request her again in the future.”
“Never boarded a pet before, but I left my Xander there and they treated him wonderfully! He even got a cat tree to play on, which I don’t even have! Highly recommend!”

“Daniel took fantastic care of our pup! Sent lots of photos and was super communicative, we will definitely be using Daniel again next time we’re out of town and would highly recommend him!”

“Matthew was amazing with our dog when we had to make last minute plans to board before the holidays. Matthew was flexible and shared regular updates. He was very caring and our dog was very well cared for.”

“Lia was AMAZING. If I could give her 10 stars I would. She made my fur baby feel like he was at home. She communicated with me his entire stay she even sent videos. I definitely will be using Lia again and I recommend anyone with fur babies to book with her as well”

“We have used Katie for both daycare and boarding multiple times over the past year and never worry in the slightest when our puppy Dexter stays with her and Willow. Katie is always quick to answer any questions we have as well as provides us with pictures and video updates throughout Dexters stays. Would recommend her to anyone!!!”

Extremely friendly and reliable. I felt completely comfortable leaving Reagan there. We had a bad experience where a different sitter took us off of the app and then ghosted us after we paid and 30 minutes before drop off so we are wary of the sitters now but Rich has always seemed completely professional and calm. Great person and Reagan was very happy on the way in and out :)

I used to get so anxious every time I had to board my dog because she has separation anxiety. I would always worry that she wasn’t eating, sleeping, or adjusting well while I was away. But ever since I found Ian, I feel so much more at ease. Ian's place has a great yard and my dog has made new friends at their house and always seems so happy there! They take such great care of her, and their huge yard is amazing for the dogs to run around and play. You can genuinely feel how much Ian and his wife love and care about the dogs they look after. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my dog is somewhere she feels safe, comfortable, and loved while I’m away. I’m so grateful I found them and would 10000% trust Ian with my dog again!

This was our first time booking with Theresa, and right off the bat it was for almost 2 weeks while we were on an extended vacation. She took great care of Lucy and Cada, who have very different personalities (and needs, although as far as needs go, they're pretty straightforward). We got regular updates on how they were doing, along with photos. The dogs got a lot of quality outdoor time in the yard! When Lucy experienced a health issue the day before our return, Theresa communicated with us promptly and kept updated on her progress. Thank you for taking good care of our pups! They are well-loved family members and we're happy they were treated as such at your home as well. :)

Carrie was an amazing person to find to watch my little pup! My puppy was only 11 weeks old when we needed someone to watch him for the day and night and Carrie was caring and informative with him. Picture and video updates let me know he was happy and cared for. Definitely recommend her!

Robert was a wonderful sitter for our dog Boh. He clearly has experience with dogs and understands how to handle different pet personalities and needs. He listened carefully to all instructions and asked good questions. He sent updates with pictures every day. Boh was obviously having a great time with Rob and his wife, and I felt comfortable with them right away. Would book again. Thank you for taking care of him!
I am so incredibly grateful for Viviana! I have a very skittish, nervous, occasionally reactive dog who has grown to love Viviana and looks forward to being at her home. I was genuinely surprised to see how quickly my dog warmed up to Viviana and how comfortable she felt with her. I can finally travel and feel assured that my dog is safe, calm, happy and comfortable. Viviana is a life saver. I highly recommend!
Heather watched my dog Nova for a week, and everything went smoothly. Nova was kept safe, fed on schedule, and returned home healthy and in good spirits. All of the core instructions were followed as requested, and the stay was completed without any issues or complications. I appreciate the dependable care during my time away.

Halimah was a great sitter for my dog. Despite it being a longer stay, she took the time to meet with my dog and I, decide if we were a good fit, and reassured me of any concerns I may have while away (pictures/videos sent, very communicative). Zada is a great dog as well and I wish them the best of luck on future endeavors, a very nice pair!

We were in a bind and had to find someone who could watch our pup last minute before a work trip, and I’m so glad we found Erin. Erin was responsive, flexible, and sent updates with pics the whole time our pup was staying with her. Our pup looked cared for, loved, and happy the entire stay. I would absolutely recommend Erin!

Katherin was kind and communicative throughout my dog, Enzo’s, stay with her. We were visiting from Florida and he stayed at her home for 3 days while we stayed with friends who couldn’t have a dog at their house. I would highly recommend Katherin as a pet sitter!

A sitter that genuinely cares is hard to find! There was no doubt in my mind at drop off, that our pet baby was in capable hands! Will definitely recommend Aaris! Communication and attention to detail/ pet care instructions, are high on my list of expectations and she met them!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
