“Emily & Patrick are wonderful pet people! They took great care of Karson while we were away and sent us updates as promised. Karson loved hanging with his new friend Biscuit (Emily & Patrick's dog) too! Highly recommend them!”

“Aida was a great sitter for my pup. She was very communicative with me and very attentive towards him. I was able to have peace of mind while on vacation as I was updated with pics and activities throughout each day I was gone. I highly recommend Aida for any of your dog sitting needs.”

“Sarah sent me lots of pics and kept me updated on how my dog was doing throughout her stay. She was super responsive and super flexible with my last minute ask! I would definitely board Peanut with her again.”

I adjust my routine to fit their needs, energy levels, and personality. I do sitting inside my apartment where there’s me and my 14 year old son we love animals and just wanna play apart in making someone smile knowing there fur babies are in good hands. I’d greatly appreciate it if you could help by leaving your experience with me by leaving a review at the end of your boarding 😊
“Irma took great care of our girls and they had a great time! She really put them at ease. She sends lots of updates which is great for peace of mind when you have to leave your dogs but she’s a great pet sitter!”

“Robert took great care of our senior pup, while we where gone for 10 days. He sent daily updates and pictures which eased my worries while away. Kasper seemed to really enjoy his stay with him. I really feel greatful to find a sitter who really loves and understands dogs so well.”

“Aparna was so great with Piper! She was responsive, communicative with me about how Piper was doing, and Piper was right at home. I will definitely be reaching out for future sitting needs!”

“My dog, Eugene, is an anxious dog, and Meagan was very patient and flexible when getting to know him. He felt very comfortable during his stay (so many soft place to nap!), and was very well taken care of. I would 100% have him stay again.”

“Lady was wonderful! She was able to step in at the absolute last minute when we had water damage at our house and needed a place for Maple to stay for a few nights. Super responsive, accommodating, send abordable photos, and I could tell Maple enjoyed her stay. So grateful Lady was able to help us!”
About: I love dogs and in addition to growing up with dogs and pet sitting, I’ve been a volunteer at local animal shelters and have experience with a variety of dogs - young and old, different breeds, behaviors, etc. I’ve lived with dogs my whole life, and when I adopted my boxer/beagle mix, Sasha, from the shelter at two years old, she became my greatest teacher, showing me how to love deeply, be patient, and make the tough calls that come with being a devoted pet parent. I have experience caring for dogs at every life stage, from bouncy puppies to sweet seniors. Special food requirements? Daily meds? I’ve got it covered. I pay close attention to each dog’s unique personality ... some thrive on extra snuggles, others prefer long walks, backyard playtime, or peaceful naps in the sun on the deck. I think it’s important to set up a meet-and-greet with new clients. It’s the best way for us to see if we’re a good match and to go over your pet-care needs in person. It’s also a great opportunity to get all those questions answered, and chatting face-to-face just makes things smoother. And honestly, meeting a new pup is the best part! At the end of the day, we know who’s really in charge: the dogs. Our job is to make sure they’re happy, healthy, and surrounded by love. I work from home and have the flexibility to play in the backyard, take walks, and provide personalized care as needed. In the last year I became especially skilled at taking care of our senior dog so am ready to provide any specialty care if needed. I have a fenced yard and quiet neighborhood with walkable sidewalks and lots of opportunities for sniffing out the perfect spots. No other pets or children in my home.

“Linda was such a great dog sitter. She sent great photos and videos during Prince’s stay and I knew he was well taken care of. Linda was very patient and loving with Prince. I’d use her any time!”

“Veronica is wonderful! Great communication and super dependable not to mention makes leaving my dog with a sitter much easier on my heart ❤️ thank you for taking such good care of my baby”

“She was my first Rover dog sitter since the person I usually go to couldn’t watch my dog and I will say I was a bit nervous to drop her off at first but Nathaly eased all my concerns. She consistently sent pictures of my dog Venus while I was away, let me know when they were going on walks, her eating patterns and if she peed or poo’d. Honestly, when she told me this was one of her first sits, I was pleasantly surprised by how well she handled it also while having her own dog, Broly (sick name), and managing the two of them. I had no complaints and anyone who choose Nathaly to watch their pet, just know you will get top-of-the-line service and consistent communication. Would book again!”

“I can't say enough how wonderful Irene is! This is the second time we have boarded with her. My husband and I went for a 10 day trip abroad and our pup had never been away from us for that amount of time. She sent lots of updates and pictures and I could see how happy she was. Irene truly treated her as if she was one of their family and did everything she could to make sure our girl was comfortable. Thanks to her I was able to enjoy our trip without worry. I knew she was in excellent hands. Plus her beautiful sweet dog Benny was a great companion for her.”

“Elizabeth was an amazing dog sitter. She watched our newly adopted dog Donkey for 3 nights when we had to travel unexpectedly for a funeral. She gave Donkey exceptional care. She kept us updated multiple times a day with pictures and really left us at ease especially during an already stressful time. I would highly recommend Elizabeth!!”

“Shannon was great watching our dog overnight and sent lots of pics! Rooney looked like she was having a blast and we will definitely be using her in the future!”

I could not be happier with the care and love my girl received from Erin and Cassey while they watched my dog while I was away. They are true animal lovers, and it shows. They sent me updates and pictures that I appreciated. I know without a doubt I made the right decision by choosing Erin to watch my dog at their home while I was away. I would rate them an A+++, and I will 100% use them again and recommend them to anyone I know. Thank you both very much!

Gary and his wife Karen took wonderful care of my dog, Finn, while I was away at the beach for a few days. They were great with communication, sending updates and making me feel at ease knowing Finn was in good hands. It’s clear they truly know and love dogs, and they have a welcoming home where Finn was well cared for. I came home to a happy, relaxed pup. I’ll be booking with Gary again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!

Shoniece was our dog Nutmeg’s preferred sitter. She always took great care of her. She recently watched Nutmeg during a 2 week trip of ours where Nutmeg unexpectedly fell ill due to an unknown cancer diagnosis. While we were away Shoniece went above and beyond to take Nutmeg to the vet for an emergency surgery after she noticed she wasn’t acting by like herself and cared for her during recovery. She treated Nutmeg like she was her own and that was more than I could have ever asked for.

Quinn was amazing (and a great photographer!) She was phenomenal at updating me twice a day about how their stay was going, and prompt to let me know when Riley had an upset stomach. I really appreciate and recommend her! If possible I will definitely book with her again. I know Riley enjoyed herself as well!

Dorothy and her husband took such wonderful care of our pup! He is 2 years old and full of energy, so we were a little nervous leaving him, but they did an amazing job. It was clear he was well cared for, happy, and got plenty of attention and love. They kept us updated and gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for caring and reliable sitters!

Keiwana is amazing! She did a great job keeping us updated with messages and photos throughout our dog's stay. She treated our dog as if she were her own, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. I'm so glad our dog enjoyed her stay. We will definitely be booking with Keiwana again in the future. 💕

Cassie did an amazing job watching are sweet babies this past week! She took such care to ensure we were kept up to date with pictures and updates on how they were doing! This was our first time doing an in home sitter and I am so pleased with how it went and with Cassie! We can’t wait to have her back the next time we travel!! Would highly recommend!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
