“Erika took great care of my dog while we were away! My dog seemed to love staying with her and enjoyed interacting with the other dog she was caring for. Erika was accommodating to my pick up and drop off times.”

About: Hi! My name is Maribel, and I’ve been surrounded by animals for most of my life. I grew up caring for family pets and have experience with dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, and other small animals. As a college student, I know how important it is to find someone dependable who will care for your pets like family. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ll also provide regular photo and video updates, so you always know how your pet is doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet has the best care possible. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! I’m currently on summer break from college and have a flexible schedule for pet care! I work part-time at a golf course, and starting soon I’ll only be working one day a week at my second job. Most of my work shifts are during the day, which allows me to be available for afternoon and evening walks, drop-in visits, and overnight boarding. On my days off, I’m available throughout the day to give your pet plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime. I’ll always keep you updated with daily photos and videos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment with a fenced relief area and plenty of safe walking paths nearby. Since I live in an apartment, I only board one family’s pets at a time so they receive my full attention. If you have two small dogs from the same family, I’d be happy to care for them together. I’m comfortable caring for puppies, senior dogs, and shy dogs, and I always follow each pet’s routine as closely as possible. While I don’t administer medications, I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, provide frequent potty breaks, go on walks, and give your pet lots of love and attention. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.
“Lisa was really friendly and welcoming to my fur baby and I . I was really nervous about leaving my baby with a stranger but Lisa constantly reassured me that my pup was in good hands which made me feel at ease . She sent me constant updates of my dog day to day . 10/10 would recommend would book again. Thanks Lisa!”

“Emily & Patrick are wonderful pet people! They took great care of Karson while we were away and sent us updates as promised. Karson loved hanging with his new friend Biscuit (Emily & Patrick's dog) too! Highly recommend them!”

“Ruth and her family were such wonderful hosts to our dog. Olive got so much attention and love from them it was like she was on vacation. Ruth communicated daily updates with me and was very flexible and drop off and pick up. Highly recommend!”

“Keiwana and her gorgeous family took amazing care of our 4 month old puppy Rosie. They were so kind and patient - Rosie made more than a few mistakes but they were so understanding and graceful about it. Keiwana also sent us so many great pictures of Rosie throughout the weekend! Rosie made some new friends with their sweet dog Bailey and two little girls, and she didn’t want to leave when we came to get her! (but when we did get back home, she was so tired and napped like an angel). We would most definitely use them again (but maybe when Rosie’s older so their beautiful house doesn’t get any more puppy damage!!) Thank you SO MUCH to Keiwana & family!!”

“We are so thankful for the amazing care our dog Sadie received! From the moment we dropped her off, we felt completely at ease. We got regular updates and adorable photos, and it was clear Sadie was happy, relaxed, and having the time of her life. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book again. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of our girl.”

“Kasia continues to provide stellar service to out 4 year old Labradoodle, Coco. Kasia has kept Coco at least a dozen times now and she always returns to us just as happy, curious and playful as the day we dropped her off. We continue to be grateful to have a sitter that we feel comfortable leaving our Coco with.”

“Ashley was a great sitter for my puggle. I knew my dog felt right at home when I dropped her off and she looked very content in every photo. I would definitely leave her with Ashley again!”

About: I have taken care of various friends and families cats over the years and have two family cats. I love playing with them and providing a friendly face for them. I have also taken care of friends and families puppies and young dogs as well. I always treat everyone’s animals as if they were my own and strive to make sure they feel safe and loved while they are with me. I’m currently working part time so I have time to watch and attend to your animals any time of day. I am also available for boarding and sittings at houses when needed. I have a fenced yard in a family friendly neighborhood with no other pets in my home. I can crate your dog if needed at my home for boardings and they will have a comfortable space to be in.
“I am delighted with the way Makhayla watched over my pup. She was kind and kept me updated the whole time. This was my first time leaving him, and she made me feel comfortable. Thanks again!”

“Shannon is great! I don’t know what we would do without her! Our pups love her and get very excited to see her when we drop them off. This is great cause I always get anxious about leaving them but with her I know they are happy to stay. Shannon sends lots of pictures and is super responsive to messages. We are super happy with her and hope that we can continue to send our pups to Shannon’s when we have to travel.”

“Amanda was wonderful! She took great care of our dog, Theo, for a week while we were on vacation. She was always available and kept us updated throughout our trip, including sending pictures of Theo, which we really appreciated. We can’t thank her enough for the communication, attention, and care she showed him while we were away. It gave us great peace of mind knowing Theo was in such good hands. We would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone looking for someone they can trust to care for their pet!”

“I really want to thank Janelle, Joanna and Gwendolyn for the excellent love they gave my Broc and Remi. You could feel from the first meeting your fur babies would be in good hands. They asked very good questions about your pets, so that they could render the best care. I received updates, pictures and videos showing the fun Broc and Remi was having. I could tell Broc and Remi were having lots of fun playing with their dog Zoe. If I ever need a sitter again, I'll definitely reach out to them and hope they're available. Thank you Ladies again and thank you Rover for your service.”

“Irene is such a lovely person and took wonderful care of our girl. She had a great time with Irene’s pup and came home very happy. We will be using her again in the near future and I feel very comfortable with the level of care and love the she got with Irene. She is wonderful!”

“Our bud always has a great day with Linda. She knows he loves being outside so spends extra time with him in the park and in her yard. Very sweet, we appreciate her care!”

About: I have cared for cats and dogs for years. I rescued one cat to later find out she had seizures. She got proper treatment, love and attention, and lived to be fifteen. I am retired and available days, evenings, weekends, and most holidays to meet your pets needs and your schedule to keep on your pets routine. I have a medium size backyard with shade trees and room to play. During bad weather I use the basement for play time and activities.
“I was very happy that Nathalie was able to watch Kuma when I traveled out of town for a few days. She was communicative and sent pics everyday. Kuma had a great time!”

“Emily was a fantastic pet sitter for our dog Jack! She took my last minute booking easily and she and her son took great care of him for the week we were out of town. She sent regular pics and updates and Jack seemed happy and exhausted (in the best way) when we picked him up. Thanks Emily!”

Casey and Marwa are, honestly, the best hands down!!! They took very good care of my dog while I was on vacation. They had top tier communication, shared pics, and kept me up to date on how my dog was adjusting to their home. I have a Golden-Doodle who is very affectionate and can be demanding of cuddles and attention but that was not a problem for Casey and Marwa. They loved on my boy just as I would and that made me so happy and calmed my nerves while I was away. If I could give 10 stars, I surely would! The love and care Diggy received is unmatched. I truly cannot thank you two enough. We will, without a doubt, book again!!

Amanda was wonderful! We would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone looking for someone they can trust to care for their pet!

Katarzyna was wonderful and very accommodating for our 13 year old Golden with mobility needs. She provided a safe environment with indoor and outdoor space and made sure that he had all of his medications on time. We were so happy to find this option since traditional boarding just doesn't work for our guy.

Another exceptional experience boarding with Irene! My dog Lily is so happy and comfortable staying overnight with her. Irene ensures that she gets everything that she needs for her routine, plus so much attention and enrichment. Plus she's a great communicator and always responds quickly. Can't recommend highly enough!

We felt so lucky to have found Amy on Rover! She was wonderful with our 4-month old puppy who LOVED playing with her dog as well. She was a great communicator and we received frequent photo updates while we were away for the week. We will definitely use Amy again next time we have to travel.

Our family had a fantastic experience with Cayleigh! Setting up everything was a breeze. Communication was always fast, professional and friendly. She was flexible with scheduling, and it was clear she loves dogs. I know my dog Lucy had a great time and was really well cared for because she usually acts like I've abandoned her when she's stayed with other people in the past--nervous and jumping all over me. She was completely chill like she had been on vacation. I highly recommend Cayleigh!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She was very polite and easy to communicate with throughout the stay. I really appreciated the frequent updates, especially the pictures and videos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. It was clear my dog was well cared for, and I’d be happy to book with her again.

It was a pleasure working with Trinity. I especially appreciate her taking my Diamond on a playdate with her friend’s Shi Tzu (both fur babies are Shi Tzu). My Diamond tends to be introvert to I felt better hearing Trinity gave my Diamond an opportunity to socialize.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
