About: Hello! I am a veterinary technician of 8 years and pet owner of 20+ years who is highly experienced in animal care and petsitting. As a cat, horse, and previous dog owner myself I understand that our pets are our family! I look forward to meeting your fur baby! I work part time hours and am off weekends and holidays. I’m happy to spend my free time playing, walking, and spending time with your pet! While at work crates, gates, or free roam can be used depending on your pets needs and comfort. Pets will be monitored through pet cams during working hours. While in my home pets can have free roam or access to a crate depending on their needs and comfort. For walks I utilize harnesses and if needed can add a back up slip lead if owner feels more comfortable to ensure safety. Pets will always have access to fresh water and toys and will be well loved while in my care!

“James and Mary are kind and easy to work with. Our GSP tends to be anxious and energetic but she settles right down at their home - they go out of their way to make her feel right at home. We don't worry about her at all when she's with James and Mary - we know she will be well taken care of!”

“Ariel was everything we were looking for in a dog sitter! She cared for our sweet Cookie and sent pictures. She made all my worries out the door when she reassured us that Cookie was fine! We have found our dog sitter and I couldn’t be more grateful for Ariel 🌸”

“Terry is a great and professional dog boarder. My dog stayed with him during our 2-week vacation trip. Terry followed the details we left for our pet and kept us informed with daily messages and pictures. Recommended!”

“Nicole was very kind and attentive to Shirley. Shirley requires a lot of human company, and Nicole and her family provided that in spades! I received regular updates regarding Shirley’s activities, as well as photos. Book Nicole and your furry friend will be in good hands.”

“Lydia was an exceptional boarder, I would highly recommend her to keep your pet in her home. Her whole family welcomed Sophie like she was their own! Lydia supplied daily updates with pictures and couldn’t have been any more helpful. I will definitely utilize her services again hopefully (I will be boarding Sophie again in April). Thanks again for the stellar job you did Lydia, my wife and I couldn’t be happier with Sophie’s care! Mike & Lisa”

“Brittanie and Ryan ensured that both Bodhi and I felt comfortable with boarding him at their home when I dropped him off. They were attentive to him and sent me pictures and communication throughout the stay, which helped put me at ease. They even contacted me before I dropped him off so I would pack extra food in case of a potential snow storm. I’m thrilled that they were our first experience using Rover, and I will recommend them to any friends needing dog care in the future.”

“Jena is the best!!!! Whenever we are leaving our dog Ellie with Jena, we tell her she is going to camp because she loves it so much! She always makes a new friend and is totally exhausted from playing by the time we bring her home. Jena truly treats her like a pet of her own, and we are so grateful!”

“Olga was an awesome sitter for my cat! This is my first time using Rover and it was a great experience. She sent me videos and pics that reassured me about my cat. Will use again if needed.”

“Our fur babies felt right at home with Will, Adriele and Ringo. We dropped off our 4 year old dog and 5 month old puppy and could tell from all the pup-dates they had a blast. They were very flexible with pick up/ drop off time and were very friendly/knowledgeable. I could tell they read my care instructions by the questions they asked when I dropped off the pups. Will definitely use them again when we go out of town!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Owings Mills
We couldn't have asked for a better person to care for our Frenchie, Louie! From the moment we met, we knew he was in great hands, and that feeling only grew while we were away. French Bulldogs can be a little high-maintenance, but Louie was treated like family. We received regular updates, photos, and could tell he was happy, comfortable, and incredibly well cared for. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was getting lots of love, attention, playtime, and snuggles instead of just being "watched." When we picked him up, he was relaxed, healthy, and honestly seemed like he had his own little vacation! It's clear that caring for animals isn't just a job—it's something they genuinely love. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, communicative, and who will love your dog as if they were their own, look no further. We would book with them again in a heartbeat. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our sweet Louie—we're so grateful!

Brianna was such a perfect fit for our Sophie girl! She is incredibly responsive and takes on any needs that come along - Sophie is very particular with some of her habits and quarks. Sophie was certainly on vacation just as much as I was while staying with Brianna!

Mariah is the perfect sitter for my Bentley…I was gone on a cruise for 8 days and Bentley was in Mariah’s care for 10 days and she is outstanding!!! Bentley even received while in her care as well. Highly recommended, Greatly appreciated. Will definitely request her again for a 4th time.

We are extremely grateful for how Jillian, Bobby, and their daughter took care of our dog. They sent us lots of pictures and gave us consistent updates on how he was doing. It really gave us the peace of mind we needed in order to enjoy our time away from home. We look forward to Sherlock, staying with them again.

Keyona was beyond amazing! This is my third time boarding my Goldendoodle and Bernedoodle with her. She takes great care of them making sure they get enough walks, play time, cuddles, and snacks. My pups love her pups Annie and Bentley. They don’t have any issues with her cat. Overall I feel very at ease leaving my pets with Keyona because I know they’re in a loving and caring environment. She even went the extra mile and took them to their grooming appointment during their last boarding. I am extremely grateful to have found her and I recommend her if you’re looking for boarding services.

Brad was terrific! 5 stars all the way. Our dog stayed ant Brad’s home and was clearly well loved as she wasn’t entirely sure she wanted to hop in my car to go home at the end of the stay. Brad communicated well and sent photos and updates daily. He is obviously very knowledgeable about and comfortable with dogs. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
