“Candela’s stay with Jessica was great! Jessica accepted a last minute request from us when our original sitter fell through. She was so accommodating and responsive. We got updates and pics. Canela seemed to have a good time!”

“Robin provided excellent care for my dog Milo. This was my first time leaving Milo in someone else’s care other than family and friends and I was nervous and anxious. Robin sent videos and pictures and Milo was having a great time in her care. Robin only cares for small dogs which I like because I have a Yorkie. She has a dog that looks like my last dog that I had for 14 years. Robin is experienced in caring for dogs as shown by observation of her interaction with Milo and by questions and written information she requested regarding Milo’s health issue. I will definitely have Robin care for Milo again!”

“Poh Huey is absolutely amazing. She took great care of our dog Belle recently when we were out of town. She was responsive, courteous, and very professional. Huey was genuinely attentive to Belle, which was greatly appreciated. She provides video/photo updates. Her fenced backyard with artificial turf provides a safety and clean playground for dogs. Her two dogs are super friendly. Huey is the best!!”

“Priscilla treated my Dog Rourou as her own. She is so loving, patient and understanding! If you are stressed out (as I was) because you can’t seem to trust anyone to take care of your dog while you are away, then I would highly recommend Priscilla!”

“Erika took great care of my dog while we were away! My dog seemed to love staying with her and enjoyed interacting with the other dog she was caring for. Erika was accommodating to my pick up and drop off times.”

“Virginia and Steven were outstanding. We boarded our dog with them for a weekend and they were incredibly kind and accommodating when our flight got cancelled and she had to stay an extra night with them, and they didn’t bat an eye at giving her eye drops even though she doesn’t make it easy. Our dog seemed extremely well cared for when she came home. Would definitely rebook!”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and cats my entire life and cannot remember a time I didn't love them all. My cat is no longer with me but I still have dogs and would love to care for your pets as I currently do my own. I can handle big dogs and little dogs as well as am willing to clean out your cats litterboxes. I'm happy to tussle with big dogs and take naps with lap dogs anytime! I'm a college student looking for work over the breaks and any pet time over the semester as I'll be away from my own. I'm happy to work around my class schedule to be with your pets as much as possible. I have a mostly fenced yard with the only opening being the driveway but intend to do walks and keep pets leashed just for safety. My own home has two dogs that are great with other dogs, both of them being on the smaller side and great with people as well. When I'm up at school there will be no other pets up there and the space will be fully for your pets. I'm also able to do house sitting, walks, and drop-ins for your pets to make sure your pets are getting love and attention when you're away.
“Bria was WONDERFUL! She sent constant updates and pictures and videos, and was so sweet to my baby! She took great care of him & whenever I need boarding, she will be my number one choice!”

“Casey and Marwa are the BEST! They spoiled our large dog Indiana to no end with multiple long walks every day, playtime, cuddles, and even grooming. There was plenty of space to roam freely in the house. They posted many pictures and videos every day. Their Pug Kevin is so cute and friendly! Indy came home well fed, nicely groomed, happy, and relaxed.”

“Nicole and her family are awesome!!!!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Very loving and attentive, especially with us having a very high energy husky. Will highly recommend to anyone and everyone”

“Julijai and her family were phenomenal dog sitters! They took such great care of my guy, Eli. He loved running around in their big fenced in yard and playing with their own pups who were around Eli’s age. He came home tired and happy :) Couldn’t have asked for more from Julijai and her family. They were great and I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, loving dog sitter.”

“Ariel was great with Milo and kept me updated since I’m nervous with leaving my fur baby for long periods of time. But she assured me Milo was ok and sent me cute pictures. Milo and I will definitely use her again!”

“Phyo is a patient and excellent sitter! My dog, Tony can sometimes be a bit difficult, and Phyo was patient during our first meet and greet. He also lives in a great neighborhood, so you can be rest assured that you furry friend will have a great time staying with him. I will be using Phyo again!”
“Taylor was awesome! Gracie met Taylor prior to her stay, and we felt very comfortable leaving Gracie with Taylor. She took great care of Gracie and took her to the park and to her daughter's soccer practice. We never had concerns and knew Gracie was in good hands. I strongly recommend Taylor if you need a sitter for your dog!”

“Susan was so good with my senior Yorkie - staying with her was a no brainer. She’s detail oriented and asks thoughtful questions - right away I knew Soog was in the best hands.”

“Samantha is a good care taker. She knows how to care for my senior dog. Her house was great with Winston’s company and has a nice backyard full of good smells. She’s a great communicator and send updates frequently.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Marriottsville
Karen and her family were great with our dog Lyla. When we picked her up I could tell that she was happy and well cared for during her time there. Karen was also able to work with us for pick up and drop off as our plans varied a little from booking. She was easy to communicate with and quickly responded to messages. We will absolutely be using her and her family again

It was my pleasure to have Terry dog sit my baby Cajun. He is a ball of energy. Terry was able to match his energy and personality. My normal dog sitter went on vacation however Terry was able to work and accommodate me with my schedule. Now Terry will be my backup. Thanks Terry, you rock!

We had a wonderful experience with Lydia! She and her family took excellent care of our dog while we were away, kept us updated with messages and photos, and gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear our pup was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We truly appreciated her reliability, kindness, and genuine care for our dog. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their dogs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
