Home away from home
I have taken care of dogs my entire life. I have owned small to large dogs and our last dog was a Labrador retriever. I am very comfortable giving baths and medication, pills, if that is what is required. We will love on your dog as if they were part of our family. I am a teacher during the school year so I have a lot of time to spend with your pet. We want to put your mind at ease that they will get all the love and care at our home as they would in your home. If you need a longer stay than what's on the calendar send a message and we may be able to accommodate.

This is our second time having our pup Niko stay with Karen and her family and we are so grateful! We joke that while we’re on vacation, Niko is also on vacation at Karen’s house because he is so well taken care of. We definitely recommend Karen and her family!
Unfortunately, this arrangement did not work out for us or for Maru. About two hours after dropping him off at Karen’s place, we received a call asking us to pick him up because he allegedly tried to bite them when they attempted to put a collar on him. This has never happened with any of Maru’s previous sitters. As a result, we had to turn around on our way to the airport, pick him up, and frantically find another sitter just two hours before an international flight. While I appreciate their honesty, the entire experience was extremely stressful and upsetting for our family. I wish them and their future dogs the best.
I knew the minute I met Karen that they would be great caregivers for my dog. They did not disappoint. The whole family embraced her and made her feel right at home. Lots of love and walks and daily pictures showed a happy dog. I cannot recommend them enough.
Daisy came home happy, calm, and clearly well-loved. Karen was attentive, sent regular updates and photos, and followed instructions. Highly recommend — Karen's paws-itively perfect.
Niko had a great night with Karen and her family! He was a little anxious to start, but Karen took him on a walk right away to calm his nerves which made a huge difference. She sent a few updates and pictures throughout the evening. When we picked up Niko, he was SO calm compared to when we pick him up from a kennel. That is proof in itself that Niko had a wonderful time. We’ll definitely be boarding with Karen and her family again as long as they’ll have Niko!
Karen was a delight from our first meet and greet throughout the process. We were completely confident in her ability to care for our large dog. She was attentive and thoughtful in asking questions regarding his care. We appreciated all the photos and communication while he was at her home. She gave him tons of attention from walks to belly rubs and snuggles. We would recommend her without reservation and look forward to booking with her again!

Schedule
Since I have owned dogs pretty much my whole life, I feel like my schedule is dedicated to dogs. Your dog will get lots of walks, outside time, playing, and love.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet has the option to stay in their crate, if that's what you choose, or have free reign of our house. I usually set up water on every floor of the house. They can be on the furniture or sleep in our bed or if you have a particular pet bed you would like them to use that is fine too. Since we currently don't have our own pet right now, they would be the only pet in the house unless there is another border at the same time. So your pet would have to be friendly or let me know at booking that they don't socialize well with other dogs. Your dog would get lots of walks during the day, snuggles and love, exercise and fun outdoors.
A typical day
I have a six year old son going on seven, that would love to play with your dog and help me walk the dog and exercise your dog. I have grown up with and have owned high energy dogs so I know how to get all the energy out of them.
