“I wanted to let anyone that really wants a person to take care of their child (dog) like it is their own Davida is the one to call. I'm very protective of my little baby and very particular about who takes care of her. She is 8 months and only weighs 4 pounds and she is a beautiful little Maltese. She is energetic and loves to play all day long. She loves to get plenty of attention. All of that was to tell you that she gets all of that from Davida and her family. She loves them and they love her. She gets excited every time we open up the gate to go to the door. When I pick her up and we go home she sleeps good from playing all day. She goes every week to Davida's and she loves it. Last week she had the runs and Davida gave her a full bath with hyper allergenic shampoo with oatmeal in it and she came home clean and smelling like I just took her to a groomer. She could have just cleaned off the areas that were dirty but she gave her the works and I really appreciated the extra care she took of my baby. Also did I mentioned she had very clean and spacious home and a huge front and backyard. She is the best sitter you could ever ask for. Thank you Davida!! ❤️”

“Robin accepted my Khloe and Kai with last min notice. She sent pics of my fur babies having a good ole time. She has great space and a lot of love.”

“Another great stay for my little Tofu. Jhane and Emjay take good care of my little guy, send lots of photos and are great at communication. Highly recommend them.”

“Courtney was a great Dogsitter for my one year old Weimaraner Dolly. She kept in touch and let me know that Dolly was settling in well so my mind was at ease while we were out of town. I appreciated the pre-boarding meet-n-greet so I could meet her and we could see how Dolly would interact with her dog. Overall great experience!”

“Took wonderful care of our mini-golden doodle when we went away on a family vacation. Our dog warmed up to her immediately! She lets them get exercise and cuddles, is responsive and sends pics of their day. We will definitely ask Susan to watch our beloved furry family member again!”

“Kassandra and her little guy took amazing care of my fur baby, Jax. From the photos, I could tell he was super comfortable and happy with them. She kept me updated every day with pictures and little check-ins about how he was doing, which I really appreciated. I truly can’t thank her enough! If you’re thinking about booking or even just browsing, DO IT. You won’t regret it!”

“Shakiyla was very informative and pleasant to work with. She took excellent care of Zeus and I would recommend her to anyone and I’ll definitely will be using her services again.”

“Steven is a great person to work with and I have peace of mind knowing our rambunctious golden retriever Daisy is in a good place with him. He a good communicator and is able to be flexible with the needs of our dog and our schedule and work with us on trying to improve the environment and experience for both himself and Daisy. He has a beautiful fenced in backyard and is a seasoned veteran when it comes to dog behavior and health issues. I would highly recommend him for caring for your dog.”

“Erika is wonderful!!!! "I can’t recommend her enough! From the moment I booked, communication was excellent — quick responses, regular updates, and the sweetest photo check-ins. My Ocean always comes home happy! I can always tell she is cared for like family. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my pet was safe, happy, and well taken care of. Not our 1st time, and definitely not the last!!”

“Elisha watched our dog, Lola, for the first time. Elisha took excellent care of Lola for the 3 days she was there. She kept us posted on how Lola was doing, as well as sending pics. Elisha is organized very good about noticing if anything was wrong with Lola. We highly recommend Elisha and would definitely use her again.”

“Shannon and her family were so welcoming to Willow. I got daily updates and Willow looked right at home. I came home a happy pup, which makes me happy. I would recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a sitter.”
“Terry was excellent. When I was selling my house and had to find a sitter on short notice so people could come see the house, Terry was available within a day. My pups absolutely loved him, and he took great care of them. He walked them frequently, they played outside, and gave them treats (which happened to be their favorite treats, even though I never told him before dropping them off!). Highly recommend Terry. Aside from taking great care of my pups on short notice, he’s also just a really pleasant and personable guy. Thanks Terry!”

“Priscilla did a fantastic job watching my senior dog. I had been pretty anxious, as apart from being older, my dog had developed cataracts and lost almost all vision. I knew he couldn't be watched by just anyone, and I wanted to make sure he was both safe and happy while I was away. Priscilla put me at ease from her first message, and indeed, the meet and greet, drop off, communication, and pick up all went perfectly. I'm probably going to plan future travel around when she has availability on her calendar! Thanks again so much Priscilla.”
“HIrut took great care of our dog while we were away for a week. She met up with us ahead of time to ensure that he was comfortable in her space, gave him lots of loving attention, took him on plenty of walks, played with him, and sent us several updates. She also listened carefully to the details of his history of reactivity with some dogs and was prepared to take the steps needed to keep everyone safe. This was our first time leaving him in a sitter's home and we came home to a happy and healthy dog! We're grateful for Hirut's care and we would be happy to ask for her help again.”

“Nicole is very nice, easy to work with. Her updates with pictures gave us peace of mind. She always quickly texted back. Our dog seemed like he had a good time. Thanks!”

“Casey and Marwa are the BEST! They spoiled our large dog Indiana to no end with multiple long walks every day, playtime, cuddles, and even grooming. There was plenty of space to roam freely in the house. They posted many pictures and videos every day. Their Pug Kevin is so cute and friendly! Indy came home well fed, nicely groomed, happy, and relaxed.”

“My furball enjoyed his stay with Fallon. He got to meet Fallon’s dog Luna (became besties!), learned how to behave while being brushed, had a blast running around in her large backyard. Daily updates with photos while I was traveling for 6 days gave a peace of mind. Highly highly recommend!”

“This was our 1st time using Morgan, as our previous sitter had moved out of the area. We were very pleased with her care of our Baby, Bella. She provided daily updates with photos. We WILL use her services again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Windsor Mill
Amaya did a great job caring for my fur baby BB while I was away for 11 nights on a mission trip to Africa. She accepted BB even though she had less than a week's notice. She did send pictures and a video of how BB was adjusting to her home, family, & their fur baby but because I did not have International calling ability & the Rover phone number provided is not set up to receive Google video calls or WhatsApp text. So, I had to wait until I returned home to get the updates. Amaya gave me a report on BB when I returned. Her home & the grounds are perfect for BB. I would certainly consider Amaya if I needed services for BB again.
Leah and Shawn were fantastic sitters for my Pitsky, Finnegan! I was traveling from out of state (looking to move to Baltimore) and felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. They are both very laid-back, knowledgeable people who clearly understand dogs and dog behavior. Finnegan is a higher energy dog, and they were more than capable of handling the things that come along with that. I appreciated receiving updates and a few photos while I was away, which gave me peace of mind he was doing well. When I picked Finnegan up, he seemed very happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I can tell Leah and Shawn have a love for dogs that extends beyond their two very sweet resident pups, Olive and Zoe, who were such gracious hosts to have my little monster as a guest for an extended weekend stay. I would absolutely book with Leah and Shawn again and we fully intend to use them for future stays. Highly recommend!

Our dog Bax loved hanging out with Anita! I think he missed her when we left. Anita did an amazing job with communicating on when she walked our dog and how he was doing. She also sent random pictures of him just to send which was really nice. I would definitely book again!!

We had a wonderful experience with Ayanna and her family! She was incredibly attentive and treated our boy with so much love and care—like he was part of her own family. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does. We’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend her services!

P1 definitely had a great time, and we really appreciate the care you gave him. One small thing we noticed afterward was that all the food we prepared was gone, which ended up being a bit more than his usual amount. He had a couple more bowel movements than normal, so we think he may have been slightly overfed. Just wanted to mention this for future reference. Thank you again!

As a first time Rover user of the sitting service, Mila eased my anxiety with the care she provided to my senior dog. I was had not worries while out of town. She updated me and kept in communication along with sending pics. She is wonderful and my dog took to her beautiful energy. Thank you Mila for your exceptional service!

The best Dog Sitter we’ve ever had! Very good with the dogs, they came back very happy. Very good with the communication. She took lots of pictures. Very good condition conditions you can tell by the pictures of things are neat and tidy. We will definitely be using Gloria again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
